Title: Code of the Alpha Romance Collection Author: Lola Gabriel Format: ebook Genre: Paranormal romance, shifter (wolf), suspense Standalone: yes Park of a Series: contains all 5 books of Code of the Alpha series. Steam Level: warm 4/5
Book 1: Mate’s Call POV: Quinn, River 3.75/5
Nate’s Call is the first book in the Calk of the Alpha series and also the first book I’ve read by Lola Gabriel. While Quinn and River’s story is complete is still feels unfinished. Maybe because there wasn’t an epilogue. I’ll keep reading this series in the box set but I’m not sure if I wasn’t reading it I the set that I would. Overall the story was okay but I did tv really connect to the characters.
Book 2: Alpha’s Loyalty POV: Rayven, Scout 4/5
Alpha’s Loyalty is the second book in the Code of the Alpha series. I liked this one better than the first. While this book is a standalone I can definitely feel it building up to something big. It’s interesting that these wolves have different abilities besides just being shifters. It’s a fun addition to this trope/genre. The mystery was good and I liked the multiple twists upon twists.
Book 3: The Wolf’s Baby Author: Lola Gabriel POV: Liya, Wren 4/5
The Wolf’s Baby is the third book in the Code of the Alpha Series. Liya flees from her abusiva boyfriend into Wren’s territory. I’m interested to see how this series ends as it seems to be building up into quite the climax. While overall these books are okay I think the series as a whole could be epic. We’ll see how this plays our.
Book 4: Alpha’s Duty POV: Ferren, Kodoak 4/5
Alpha’s Duty isn’t my favorite book of this series. I found the characters to be annoying and I saw the twist coming a mile away. I’m still interested to see what’s next in this series and how everything will play out. I have my suspenders but hope I’m wrong.
Book 5: Alpha’s Secret POV:,Astra, Cole 4/5
Alpha’s Secret is the fifth and final book in the Code of the Alpha series. This is Cole’s book and he isn’t as bad as the brothers all think he is. Wild family secrets are revealed which were unexpected but not all that surprising.
I enjoyed the epilogue which wrapped up some loose ends that started in the prologue. However, some of the statements throughout made me want more. Things were referenced and fears mentioned by the enemy that wasn’t really addressed. Feels like there should be another book or an extended epilogue but also it would be too much with another book.
4 1/2 Stars! 5 stories and Epilogue on the Wylde brothers - Very good overall plot
For adults only (18+ years) due to subject matter that could be offensive to some, including some adult language, semi-steamy to fade out intimate scenes and violence (fighting, death, abduction, etc.). If any of these of situations are offensive to you, then this may not be the series for you.
This is a collection about the wolf shifter Wylde family. It is about the five brothers that split apart from each other approximately 70 years ago after their latest family home was attacked and burned to the ground, killing their parents. This is the night that set them each on a different path, with separate challenges, that led to the meeting of their mate and HEA.
I enjoyed the overall arc and the way each brother was introduced. The stories are well written with an easy to read flow. The only reason I didn't give the collection a higher rating was due to the unanswered questions I had about the Crescent pack and the grammatical errors I found. I would still highly recommend the collection and neither of these things would be something that would prevent me from reading it again.
I won't list what my outstanding questions are, because I don't want to accidentally provide any spoilers or twists. Instead I will send them to Lola Gabriel.
The Code of the Alpha series was a fantastic collection of stories that I couldn't get enough of! I really liked how the series was set up, which made it a very enjoyable read. There was just enough background on the family at the beginning to catch your interest, with more developing throughout each of the brothers stories to keep that interest, and an epilogue that completely tied everything together for an outstanding ending.
Each of the brothers stories were completely different, which honestly surprised me. Usually the stories in a lengthy series all end up being so similar to one another that it feels like you're reading the same thing over and over again. This collection did have a couple of similarities in each of the stories, but everything else was so much different that it was sometimes easy to forget that they were all in the same series, which was a good thing.
The series was full of great characters, humor, hot and sexy intimate scenes, a lot of emotion, mystery, suspense, and many twists and turns that made it impossible to put down until the very end. If you enjoy paranormal stories, especially about shifters, then this is a collection that you won't want to miss!
I would definitely recommend this series and fantastic author!
A really good family of shifters romance series. 💞🐺💞
I really enjoyed this series!
I chose to review Alpha's Duty because I just loved it. ❤️️
Ferren was having a really bad day that just kept getting worse. She's an emergency room doctor who takes every patient's death and survival, personal, but lately, it's really been beating her down. Then she hits something... or someone on her way home. And is attacked by the very thing she hit. The question is... what bit her? Kodiak is the Alpha of his pack and the one who has to explain not only what bit her but what she has become because of it. It's a story about one brother and meeting his mate. It's a really good book and I'm curious to see where it goes from here.💕💗💕
Each book is really well written and the world they live in is well developed. I will say that each book really needs to be read in order, as they build upon each other and answer questions along the way.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Don’t be disheartened by how short book one is. Give these a go. You won’t be sorry.
When I started reading book one, I was so excited, it was well written so that you loved the characters and was excited and nervous for what happened next. Then it felt like the ending was rushed and cut off before it could have been. I know some books drag things out that can spoil a good story. I was disappointed with how it ended. I went to book two. Again great writing sucking you in. The more you read the more you wanted. I glad I gave all these books a chance I really enjoyed them. I kept going hoping that what did happen would happen. So no disappointments there, and it all came together to make a very happy read.
This book set contains five books of alpha romances, werewolves, bad boys, and take-charge shifters. The stories themselves are each exciting, well-written, and have great character development. Yes, I adore shifters so I’m easy to please in that regard. They are just so likable!
Others have given really good summaries of the stories, so let me just add my kudos for these really good books. You’ll like them all, I’m sure! Grab a copy and enjoy five shifter stories that will leave you breathless!
I gave this rating because from the 1st book to the last one it showed how the character's grow into fine young tough Young men they didn't let there past rule or control them each one had a gift that helps them to survive and become leader of the pack in their own way . They had tough times because they split up and went the own way so they had to learn the hard way instead of the easy way. Each became an alpha in their pack and found their mate's who in turn help them reunite all over again. After so many years not seeing each other or talkin to each other the five brothers finally get to see each other with there mate's and finally buried the hatchet
Entertaining but so predictable and immature. The Insta-love got worse the more you read into the series. And the characters reactions were so far off of what a person would normally do, that I started to dislike the characters themselves, therefore, disliking the story. For example. If someone kidnaps me, throws me in a cell and tells me they plan to torture and murder me for information I don't have, I'm not going to be falling in love with my jailer... Common!! But like I said it still managed to be entertaining, soooo, there was that.
This five book series follows five shifter brothers. The beginning always gives you the story of the deaths of their parents and why they separated. Each story tells what became of a specific brother. Each is an alpha and a protector. The enemy of their past will not stay there as those they care for are hunted. Fate steps in to help them find the one person to help them and heal them. All have action and a romance.
Each brother has a special gift besides being a wolf shifter. They watched their parents and their home burn to the ground. They lost their parents and ended going their separate ways. They each end up an Alpha to a pack of shifters. In turn each brother meets their mate with different challenges to find their HEA. I highly recommend this book series.
This was a very interesting book the whole book just kept you I was afraid to put it down it was so good I love the characters I love the situations that were they will put in and how you got they got out of them but it's was it just a very interesting very informative telling the story of all these people all different people with possible the same ending they want love the
This is a well written book. It tells of the lives of the Wyld brothers. Wolf shifters who are hunted by the Crescent pack. There parents are killed in a fire and the boys split up. Each story talks of the brothers and their memories of the past and how they find their mates. Loved the whole storyline and the brothers lives and how each has to overcome their feelings and their wonderful and unique mates.
This is about a werewolf family and each individuals adventure with finding a mate and what goes with it. Very well written, exciting, emotional, suspenseful, surprises and so much more. I recommend it. I really enjoyed reading it. I was given a review copy on booksprout and voluntarily review it.
I loved reading this series. Lola's writing is fluid and full of heart. Her characters are amazing, and when reading them, I fell in love with all of them. I know people with similar attributes and just want to know them better. Each book in the series is different. Each book is full of everything you could ever want in a shifter love story. Loyalty, connection, family, and above all love.
Well written and engaging stories full of action, danger and fab chemistry
This was a fast paced and easy-to-read set, filled with action and steamy romance. Lots of trust issues had to be dealt with, and when combined with the action and steam, kept me madding flipping pages. Well done, Ms. Gabriel!
This was a first time read by this author. I was very impressed with this box set. There was a prolog, then it broke into five individual stories of each brother. Then a short epilogue that brought them all back to connect to their past and future. Once I started reading the series I couldn't stop.
I gave this a 4 star bc the stories were HEA and the epilogue tied it all together. Kodiak and Ferran’s story was the best. But I had a hard time feeling the connection between the h and H in all the stories. Also there was a time or two when the author confused the characters
A well-written set of stories, there are five books in this set and each one just as good as the one before I enjoyed reading this set. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Although fun, and easy, to read seperately, this collection of stories are just better back to back. A good mix of adventures as we catch up with the brothers.

What a fantastic series! Danger, love, family, all in this set. All the brothers have different personalities, they have fiery mates too. The ending was awesome, I'm so happy the author included the epilogue.
The first story was a interesting read, but all those that came behind that one was lacking in so many ways. Thank god that the price was low. I will definitely give it to the author. The character names were cute.
I loved this entire box set! All five books were so hard to put down. All five brothers are stubborn and bullheaded until their fated mates come into their lives. Five amazing strong women who save each of the alpha males! Amazing set!
Two sides to every story was really what had to be learned by the alphas. I wondered how the author was going to make the brothers of the same farther become their packs alphas. Great read with totally different stories.
Loved reading about the Wylde Clan, the 5 Brothers, meeting their mates. Then in the end all the Brothers after 60 years becoming Alphas of their own packs.
