I have 30 days to find a husband. Problem is, I can't even get a date.
The old coot who used to hang out in my bar? Turned out he was a millionaire. A multi-millionaire. And he just left me all his money. The catch? Of course there's a catch. I get the money if I’m 25 years old (check), and married (not checked; not by a landslide). And--I only have 30 days to pull this off. But when I meet Nat, Linc, Win, and Brose, I've found what every girl dreams of, multiplied by four. The millions were within reach. I could pay off my student loans, move out of my roach-infested dump of an apartment, and maybe even take a vacation with my best gay boyfriend Matty. But four guys? That wasn't part of the deal. I had to choose. And decide it if was worth it.

Writing has been a passion of mine since, well, forever (my first book was The Day I Ate the Milkyway, a true fourth-grade masterpiece). These days, steamy romance, both dark and funny, gives purpose to my days and nights as I create worlds and characters who defy the imagination. I live in magical Northern California with my own handsome alpha dude, sometimes known as Mr. Mika Lane, and two devilish cats named Chuck and Murray. These three males also defy my imagination from time to time.

The following ratings are out of 5: Romance: 💙❤️💚 Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Story/Plot: 📕📗📘 World building: 🌏🌍🌏 Character development: 😊😘😟 Narration: 🎙🎙🎙 Narration Type: Dual Narration
The heroine:Garnet - she works as a bartender at a local bar called the Drive-by Saloon. One of her regulars, an old guy she referred to as Grandpa, died and put her in his will. She would inherit 5 million dollars, but she had to meet the criteria of being over 25 and married within 30 days. So, she turned to craigslist since that worked to find her crappy apartment and her crummy job. Though she ended up with hundreds of replies from losers all over.
The Heroes:Nat - he was an accountant and often travelled for his job. He was quite a playboy and had a fear of commitment. He was referred to Garnet as a client who needed accounting help. Linc - he owned a gym with his brother Jack. Linc is shy and not great with women. The gym was just around the corner from the Drive-by Saloon. He saved Garnet from a creepy guy from craigslist. Win - he worked for old man Corey (otherwise known as Grandpa). He lived in the house over the garage and kept up the house and grounds of the estate. Brose - he is best friends with Win. The two of them had dated the same woman together at the same time in the past.
The Story: This is a fairly short book (around 200 pages, only 4 ½ hours via audiobook), and I see some people complaining in their reviews about how quickly it gets to some of the steamy scenes, but really when the book isn’t long and there are 4 heroes, what else can you expect? Anyway, I went in expecting this one to be a bit on the smutty side and wasn’t disappointed. There was plenty of smutty goodness. The intimate scenes were fairly lengthy and there were plenty of them for how short this book was.
The world building wasn’t the greatest. I tend to like better descriptions of each of the main characters so I can picture them in my head. The descriptions were there, but not until over an hour into the audiobook and they still could have been better. The story had a good premise, though sometimes, it dragged a bit on unimportant details. Overall, though I did like all the characters and the premise of the book, I mean who wouldn’t like to get 5 million bucks out of nowhere.
This audiobook was told in multiple points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Greg Boudreaux and Jillian Macie. Greg is not one of my favorite male narrators, though he does a decent job. His voice just isn’t as deep as I like for romance, and he doesn’t do different voices for different people very well for this being a reverse harem. I could never tell which guy was talking. Jillian always does a great job and I really like her voice and she is great at showing emotion through her voice.
*I hate giving bad reviews, they make me feel bad. But I went into this book not expecting what I got.*
This was a DNF for me.
For me, the book started out good and strong and I was enjoying the story and characters and then it just turned into a bad 70’s porno.
Two hours into a date with a guy she doesn’t really know and they are going at it like they are in a porno, talking dirty (not in a sexy way) and she’s doing things to herself while doing things to him. If you’re gonna do the guy, why masturbate during the sexy time??
I don’t mind sex in a book, most RH books have it and a lot have a ton of sex scenes. They are just usually well written. But this was not hot or sexy sex it was just raunchy, juvenile and cringe-worthy. I couldn’t go any further and quit 38% through the book.
This story has so much potential, but reads a little like erotica written by a virgin. The sex scenes are rushed, spliced down to a few sentences in many instances, and what's the point of reading about sex with four guys if you can't revel in it. I love the characters, the story is cute, the sex needs more imagination, longer staying power and more development.
I'm DNFing at 40%. I just read her first sex scene and I'm cringing. To me it's awful. I like the premise, kinda like the characters. But the protagonist isn't active in her situation. And I can't see how this reverse harem would ever happen in any logical, satisfying way. But the writing is the main reason, everything stems from the writing. Maybe if I hadn't been on a polyandry and reverse harem binge I would have been okay but I'm nope-ing all the way out of here.
I felt like i was losing brain cells reading this. I only picked it up to see what the whole reverse harem buzz was about. *le shrug* And while multiple guys do tickle my pickle, this book felt very mechanical and unoriginal. Meet up with one guy, fuck him, rinse and repeat. Oh, but don't forget to tell your gay best friend all about it afterwords.
Okay so this was my first reverse harem series and actually first harem anything book. I enjoy threesome relationships and had a foursome that was 2 m 2 f. I had read one negative review and wasn’t sure if this book was for me. Well I am glad I read this book anyway because I really did enjoy it. There is nothing amazing as a strong female character who knows she is not a slut but a woman exploring her sexuality and enjoying these men. I wondered if I would like one guy more then the rest but honestly I felt they all were the perfect fit for her! I also like that these guys were not man whores and she wasn’t the damsel in distress or had no sexual experience. Each sec scene was just steamy steamy making me dreamy! I am going to move on to the next book and I cannot wait!!!!
I love reverse harem reads but this one wasn't really a favorite of mine.
I just wasn't a fan of how one chapter had Garnet going out with guy #1 (they immediately have their first sexual/romantic encounter) & then the next chapter jumped straight into her going out with guy #2 (they have their first sexual/romantic encounter) & so on & so on. I'm all for her getting it on in an insta-love way (because hey, this IS a reverse harem story) but the story-telling was just off for me.
I also think I prefer all the guys already having established friendships with each other before getting involved with their woman. It makes the connection stronger (emotionally & physically), in my eyes.
I'll read more books by this author but it's not at the top of my RH tbr list.
If you're looking for a book with there is a lot of smart a lot of group sex than this is the book for you. As the title suggest, she does get a lot of action. So much so that I'm surprised that they didn't knock her up in the end. I guess if this is what you're looking for, smut and more smut then hey yeah go for it
Great contemporary stand alone Reverse harem. The book was well written and the story was fun. I enjoyed it and the sex scenes were steamy. It was nice to read a story where the MFC wasn't overly concerned about being called a slut for embracing and enjoying her sexuality. It was refreshing to read a main female character written like this. Recommended if you enjoy RH.
This book was hot hot hot!! If you like reverse harems then you will not be disappointed in this book or any of Mika Lane's books. They are hot AF and keep you in until the end and then you want more...but good news....there's more!! The scenes in this book will get you interested right quick! You will not want to put it down at all!
Well, the premise of this book was certainly interesting, but unfortunately, it fell short for me. Be prepared for a fast-moving storyline with little plot and no character development. And if I could have a dollar for every time the word ‘piston’ was used...
The basics: Garnet finds herself suddenly the beneficiary of a five-million-dollar estate thanks to a regular at the bar she works at who recently passed away. The only stipulation is that she has to marry someone within 30 days or no money. Low and behold, she just happens to meet four eligible men within the timeframe and “falls in love” with all of them.
I love reverse harem novels, I really do. But this one is low on the scale of this genre. There is little-to-no build up on the actual relationships with the men. She goes on one date with each of them and is doing sexual things with them that same night—which is perfectly fine, but it was just executed strangely in my opinion. Another issue I had with the story is the fact that there was no real sense of time. Sometimes the author would give a notion to the time frame—two weeks later, etc., but it was few and far between, which I think also affected my feelings towards the characters and their fast-moving relationships. When the ‘L’ word got thrown into the mix I was definitely rolling my eyes. Typical character: “Did I just say love? I don’t love them yet.”
The guys are also super chill about sharing one woman. The two guys who have done it before and are close friends? Sure, that is believable, but the other two? They didn’t even bat an eye. I’m not saying they have to throw some punches or anything, but it is still strange to not have some reservations about it, especially with a woman they just met.
If you take the book for what it is—erotic “romance”, then it will meet your expectations, especially if you don’t set them too high. Just some good ole’ dirty sex.
Garnet is a sassy bartender at a dive bar called the Drive By. Her co-workers and patrons love her, but it seems one patron cared more about her than she ever realized. When "Grandpa" left her his estate, it was on the condition that she be married within 30 days. How is that going to happen when she's single?
This is my first time reading Mika Lane and she did not disappoint! I liked how we got to learn about each of the characters and what makes them who they are. The story had a great flow to it that made all the interactions make sense, not to mention all the steamy scenes between Garnet and her men! My first read from Mika Lane, but definitely not my last!!
Okay... so to be completely honest this book was not that great. Basically is boils down to the entire premise of he book being made moot by the end. If all she had to do was get married to a guy, and then she ends up marrying her gay best friend, why didn’t she just do that from the beginning instead of this convoluted mess. I guess that was a reason to get her to meet all the men - but even that was weird as apparently this old man, who didn’t know her are anything more than a bartender, decided to force her to marry 1 of 3 guys that he had in mind. If he wanted them to have the money why not just leave it to them in the first place?
Honestly if this review makes zero sense it’s because the story doesn’t either.

Absolutely wonderful! From the out of the blue inheritance to the wild ride to fulfill the requirement to get it. Matty's out there personality as Garnet's best friend is just the icing on the cake. Four sexy men loving on Garmet is hot as all get out, and grandpa's secret reveled at the end is an odd twist to things. Narrators for the audible version out did themselves!
I have to say this was a great read. Fun, very hot, yet touching too. Loved the characters and the way they interact. An interesting take on modern relationship problems due to time and the work ethic but this is a book that is pure fun. It kept me turning the pages from beginning to end. I voluntarily received an ARC of this book.
This book was amazing. I’m about to start reading the next one. I wish there was more to their story but the ending couldn’t have been better done. The characters were on ell thought out and the plot kept me hooked. I read the entire thing within a few hours.
This was a lovely well written book. There were a few grammatical errors. Because of the timeline for 30 days it's definitely a everything happens quickly book. There isn't really a depth to the characters but it's an ok storyline and it could definitely had been delved into deeper than it was. It was none the less a good, nice, lighthearted book
