This is a great book. I read it many years ago and re-read it now because it never hurts to brush up on the basics. I gave it 5 stars because it does what it says, teaches the basics of day trading online. Although it's a technical book, Turner delivers the information in a light hearted and fun way that I find engaging. I especially like her usage of exclamation marks (!) because the little reading voice in my head obeys with added excitement whenever I see one. Ha! But seriously, if you want to learn about this subject this is a great book.

Everyone has a different strategy for day trading. Some work, and some don't, but most depend on the trader. Toni Turner brings her knowledge and experience to the table while avoiding talking about specific strategies that only work for her. Everything one needs to become a successful day trader is in this book, from software to technique and beyond. Just remember it's a very risky business, and no book can guarantee a profit!

For a novice investor, such as myself, this book offers a ton of practical advice. Toni doesn’t sugarcoat it either. Her advice stems from years of experience as a trader and it’s best to understand what you’re getting into beforehand. From candlestick patterns, charting examples and trend reversals and pullbacks, it’s all here. I also enjoyed learning about the best entry and exit points and how to set up stop losses based on your stock selection. Once again, great practical advice for a novice such as myself. Happy trading!

Mediocre book at best. Although there are strategies written to game the market, I did not find many of them practical. Instead, the author encourages dangerous strategies such as scalping to the reader.

Anyone with experience in the market knows that scalping can be devastating to one's portfolio, and should not be encouraged to beginners.

The book is easy to read and understand for beginners. Although it does become a little too informative in between, but even then its a really good book. It covers all basic technical definitions and chart patterns and basically get you started with the technical trading basics. All in all a good read.

I'll be the first to admit it: I lost money when I first started day trading. I was drawn in by the promise of quick profits, but my lack of knowledge and experience led to costly mistakes. It wasn't until a mentor recommended Toni Turner's "A Beginner's Guide to Day Trading Online" that I began to understand the intricacies of the market and develop a solid trading strategy.
Turner's audiobook is incredibly compelling, even for someone like me who doesn't usually enjoy listening to educational content. Her voice is engaging, and her expertise shines through in every chapter. She breaks down complex concepts into manageable pieces, making it easy to follow along and retain the information. It's clear she really knows her shit – the depth of her knowledge and experience is evident on every track.
What struck me most about this audiobook was its accessibility. Turner avoids using overly technical jargon or assuming prior knowledge, making it perfect for beginners like I was. She covers everything from the basics of trading to more advanced topics like chart patterns and risk management.
One of the most impressive aspects of this audiobook is how well Turner's advice sticks with you. Even though I'm not typically good at retaining information from audiobooks, I found myself recalling key concepts and strategies from "A Beginner's Guide" months after finishing it. Her emphasis on discipline, patience, and risk management has become second nature to me, and it's helped me develop a trading mindset that's served me well.
Turner's approach is also refreshingly realistic. She doesn't promise overnight riches or guarantee success, but instead focuses on providing a solid foundation for building a trading career. Her warnings about common pitfalls and mistakes were particularly valuable, as they helped me avoid many of the traps that novice traders fall into.
Thanks to Turner's guidance, I've been able to turn my trading around and become consistently profitable. It's not easy, and there are still days when I struggle to stay disciplined or make mistakes. But with the principles and strategies outlined in "A Beginner's Guide," I feel confident in my ability to navigate the markets and make informed decisions.
If you're new to day trading or looking to improve your skills, I highly recommend "A Beginner's Guide to Day Trading Online." Turner's expertise and engaging delivery make this audiobook a valuable resource that will stay with you long after you finish listening.

Easy to read and a great introduction to day trading. I love the quiz and the motivational essay at the end of each chapter -helps with trading psychology. The objective of the book is to introduce you to what day trading is, in the most concise and simple manner so new traders don't get overwhelmed. She also encourages you to learn and read more, and to pick a specific stock/strategy/type of trading that you can focus on and perfect. This has the basic fundamentals of day trading from candlestick patterns, support and resistance, reversal patterns, and breakouts. She also provides valuable tips on managing risk, the importance of creating a trading rule, and discussing the mistakes a beginner trader makes and how to avoid them. Two things she reiterates in the book - protect your capital and trade to trade well (focus on the system & less on the money, the money will come as you get better and learn). Sure you can find ideas in this book on youtube or google search, but I find reading the most effective learning tool for me. No ads pushing to sell their course or other distraction. Since this is just an introduction, it gives me an idea of what to read and study next.

This book doesn’t deserve five stars; I gave it this rating just for the fact that it finally allowed me to understand how to identify support and resistance point which are essential for day trading.
The book is heavy and very hard to understand, the author’s ways of explaining matter such as patterns, techniques, or setups are simply ineffective and completely futile. I only got to understand a little bit by rereading and going over pages swiftly then writing them down on my PC. I wouldn’t recommend it. I’m also not a fan of the writing style - it was too sarcastic.

If you are serious about Trading then this is a must-read. Toni Turners shares her amazing experience and knowledge not only as a great teacher but as a good friend. Beautifully written with conscious awakening in each chapter. I don't think I've ever learnt so much from one single book. Thank you, Toni.

Of all the books I read about Stocks this one actually made a lot of sense. Each stock book contradicts with other aspects.
I was seriously able to under what the author has to say, except some of the terminologies that I googled.

Great in 3 ways: the example charts take baby steps and are comprehensive; the personal anecdotes and wisdom saves the reader from making the same mistakes; the Center Point mindset at the end of each chapter pulls everything into perspective for existence as a human.

A good book, more useful for beginners. The basics are well explained by the author. I liked the way he has explained how one should go about trading like a business and how to set it up.

Valuable insights and tips on trading. Provides a good summary of what to do. Could have been more in depth in certain areas but I guess that’s why it’s a book for beginners.

An excelente guide to start trading.
Teaches you about candlesticks, trends, indicators, techniques, mentality, signals and much more.
Really teaches you all you need to learn to be a beginner trader and to start your path through the stock market.
The only downgrade is that the book is a bit old.
Book focuses on swing trading but also teaches you about day and scalp trading.

Call it layman's terms! Thats what this book is! I had no knowledge about trading but I feel loaded now! I love that she takes the reader through "Boot Camp" more like Paper Trading because she instructs you to put money anywhere. Such a perfect read for a beginner!

I bought this book out of curiousity more than a desire to become a day trader. I believe Toni Turner has written a great primer on the subject, but I believe this book is much more than that. She goes into great detail about stock charts; detail that in 30 years of studying, I had never learned. I now know how to read the different charts and how to use them to my advantage. That alone, for me, made this book worth reading.

Turner's advice on day trading and how to proceed is very interesting, and, if you are inclined to try it, this is a great book to read first.

As an introduction to stock trading, market analysis, charts and indicators this has been great and has been the main book i've recommended anyone interested in investing to start with. Their aren't any get rich quick scams, no gimmicks or technique secrets, just a general overview of concepts of technical analysis. But the book itself isn't enough to start trading and Toni admits this and happily provides other source material beyond just herself as reference.

you will quickly learn, that the stock market is a game for the rich, that computers trade faster than you, and going in with less that 5 million dollars, you will get stuck losing. Stick to poker and craps

A great introduction to new day-traders. Great sense of humor, fun to read, concise on technique. I read her "Beginner's guide to short term trading" first, loved it, and bought this one later. Highly recommended both of them!

There's investing and there's trading, there are fundamentals and technicals. If you only know fundamentals and want a good beginner's course on technicals this is a great place to start.
