Great book around Hadoop cluster design.
It's not about application architecture, but still mandatory for Big Data applications architects and developers.

Good and comprehensive guide to Hadoop architecture. Some of the first chapters are diving really deep into architecting own cluster. I would welcome similar deep dive into automating and provisioning of Hadoop clusters, because there is only brief introduction to this topics. After all, this book provides excellent overview of Hadoop best practices and I would recomment it for everyone, newcommers as well as experienced Hadoop architects .

as a whole it's was so boring for me as Data Scientist but some chapters were useful for me especially the test section.
I currently manage a Hadoop cluster and with read this book I Understood that my Problems & Solution document is the greatest act that I have done. I have renamed the document to Playbook and Postmortem based on this title I saw in this book.
