For one man, power is king. For the other, loyalty reigns.
Mob boss Luca “Steele” Abello isn’t just dangerous—he’s lethal. A master manipulator, liar, and user, no one should trust a word that comes out of his mouth. Yet, I can’t get him out of my head. The time we spent together before I knew his true identity is seared into my brain. His touch. His voice. They haunt my every waking hour and occupy my dreams. So does my guilt. I’m literally sleeping with the enemy and betraying the only family I’ve ever had. When I come clean, it will be the end of me.
Byron Harris is a distraction I can’t afford. I never should have let it go beyond that first night, but I couldn’t stay away. Even when I learned who he was, when the only option was to end things, I kept going back, risking his life and mine to continue our indiscretion. The truth of what I am could get us both killed, but being with the man who’s such an integral part of the Hawke family is even more terrifying. The only people I’ve ever cared about are on opposing sides, and I’m the rift that could end their friendship forever.
Love is a battlefield isn’t just a saying, for some, it’s a reality.
***Steele Resolve is the final book in The Hawke Family Series, but it is a continuation of the same story in the main series. While it is a complete story, it is NOT meant to be read as a standalone. The story of the Hawke siblings and the secondary characters featured in Steele Resolve starts in Savage Collision and continues in Tortured Skye, Stone Sober, Building Storm, and Tainted Saint. These stories all build on one another and are intertwined. They need to be read in order to fully enjoy and understand the plots and characters. ***
A hot and full of feels conclusion to the Hawke family saga
Luca and Byron are such a sexy and passion filled couple. Theirs is not an easy path to love and happiness, but then nothing worth having comes easy. What they do have is an incredible chemistry that burns up the pages of this story and scorches both their souls.
Byron owes the Hawkes so much, they have offered him friendship and a sense of family when his own let him down. Luca is the son of the enemy, the man whose father nearly destroyed the Hawkes and has caused them untold pain and misery. They are the Romeo and Juliette of the MM romance world, torn between their feelings for each other, their sense of honour and the influences of the outside world.
Despite Steele Resolve being a novella, it still packs a powerful punch. By focusing very much on the two main characters we still get to know them really well, along with getting drawn in by their feelings. It was a fantastic end to a wonderful series, with an epilogue that is very much the icing on the cake.
If you've read any of the other Hawke family books then you won't want to miss this. Whilst it can be read as a stand alone it does contain a few spoilers for the previous books. It also runs concurrently with book #4 (Building Storm) and book #5 (Tainted Saint). It's also a must read for those who love a well written MM romance.
Steele Resolve features the prodigal return of Luca Abello. This one holds a few surprises, in that it’s MM. Not usually my favourite to read but I’m branching out😉
Luca introduces himself to Byron when they first meet as Steele. One thing leads to another and they spend the night together🙃 However, they hit a snag in their couplings when Luca waltzes into The Hawkeye Club and Byron is the bartender for their establishment. Byron is shocked when he realises who he slept with and is drowning in guilt😢 Will the Hawkes and Abello manage to resolve their differences and mend their relationship or will Byron have to give up the one person he wants because of family loyalty?
A good story and I can’t wait to delve into the second generation stories😍
The Hawke Series has ended with a passion-filled, intense romance. Luca and Byron bring fire to the pages. They give sexual tension a new meaning. Their love is forbidden, a betrayal, but a connection that cannot be denied.
Steele Resolve brought the series full circle. The author brought back tidbits from past books that I had forgotten. This family has struggled yet survived and they continue to do so. Family is everything to the Hawkes and family isn't just blood. Family is who you choose it to be.
This book is written in dual POV and the book flowed seamlessly between the speakers. This is an important factor in an M/M book since both views were from the male perspective. I never found myself wondering who was speaking. The book also recalls important pertinent facts from the whole series to remind the faithful reader of previous events. Most of the book takes place in tandem with Tainted Saint but on a different plain. Now we get to see behind the scenes that were eluded to previously.
I've followed this series from the beginning, each book bringing more secrets to light, bringing more drama and tragedy. I honestly thought Steele Resolve would contain a lot more drama and angst simply because of every other book in this series. It does have some drama but it mostly focus on the push and pull relationship between Luca, the son of the notorious mob boss and enemy of the Hawkes, and Byron, the faithful employee and friend of the Hawkes.
It's been an awesome ride and I am sad to say goodbye. I wonder if this is really "goodbye" or just "see-you-later". Gwyn McNamee has many more stories to write and I will continue to read them, Hawke or not.
Steele Resolve by Gwyn McNamee a five-star read that will tempt your resolve. This is number six in the Hawke Family series and it really is best to read them in order as you would kick yourself if you don’t, it’s that good a series, they are each like a petal of a flower, beautiful an powerful in their own right, but together a thing of beauty. Luca ‘Steele’ does the impossible and makes you fall in love with him even though he really is a man to be hated. I would recommend this novel to people who don’t read M/M as even though it’s a story about two men fighting for more than what happens between the sheets, it’s also a powerful love story that happens to feature two men falling in love, the rest of the story is so much more than what happens between the sheets. This is a deep and emotional story and one that you will enjoy for long after you finish the story.
Even if you don't usually read M/M, you really should give this book a try. I don't seek out m/m stories, as they just doesn't do it for me. But I wanted to read this because it's part of the Hawke family books. However, as a story this is a good one. The timeline runs a bit parallel to Tainted Saint and then continues on. We've seen Byron in the Hawke books since Savage Collision, so it's good to get his story. We find out how he ended up in NOLA, and so much more about him. This was a good way to end the story of the Hawke family, especially with that epilogue.
"...we all do things in a split-second that can have a ripple effect of consequences we never expect."
STEELE RESOLVE is the final book in "The Hawke Family Series" and as is as amazing as the rest of the series.
Each and every book was a page turner. Some i liked better than others and each featured a well plotted story, completely developed characters, action, adventure, sexy times and romance.
This author has never let me down. While I am sad to read the final book in the series, I am incredibly satisfied with how it wrapped up.
This is a very very quick read with all of the elements that made this series awesome.
It is super important that this series be read in order. Each has a thread that follows each book. If they are read out of order, I think it will be confusing. Don't short change yourself, the series, or the author... read in order.
This was a fantastic ending to the series! Everything comes full circle in this book. Luca is trying to prove that he is nothing like is father while trying to make Byron understand that he truly cares for him. Byron is devastated to learn who Luca really is. Their story is worth it! The epilogue was everything!
Thank you for the privilege of reading this book and series! Well done ❤️
"Steele Resolve" by Gwyn McNamee plunges readers into a thrilling world where loyalty and love collide amidst the dangerous underworld ruled by Luca "Steele" Abello, a formidable mob boss whose charm masks a lethal persona. The novel unfolds through the perspectives of two compelling characters whose lives intertwine in unexpected ways.
From the outset, McNamee sets a tense and gripping tone, painting Luca Abello as a master manipulator whose every move is calculated. The protagonist, grappling with guilt and conflicted emotions, finds herself entangled with Luca despite knowing the risks involved. The author deftly explores the complexities of attraction and betrayal, as well as the moral dilemmas faced when loyalty to family clashes with personal desires.
Byron Harris emerges as a captivating counterpart to Luca, offering a glimpse into a world where alliances are fragile and trust is a luxury. Their relationship evolves against a backdrop of danger and secrecy, where every stolen moment threatens to unravel the delicate balance of power.
McNamee's narrative prowess shines in her ability to weave together suspense and romance, crafting a storyline that keeps readers on the edge of their seats. The emotional stakes are high as the characters navigate treacherous waters, torn between their feelings for each other and the loyalties that define their identities.
"Steele Resolve" is more than a tale of forbidden love; it's a riveting exploration of the human psyche and the lengths people will go for passion and survival. McNamee's vivid prose and vivid characterizations make this novel a compelling read, leaving readers eager for more from this talented storyteller.
Overall, "Steele Resolve" is a must-read for fans of romantic suspense, offering a captivating blend of intrigue, passion, and moral complexity that lingers long after the final page. Gwyn McNamee proves once again why she is a master of the genre with this gripping and unforgettable tale.
This sexy, intense story is a masterful balance of twisty suspense, sizzling m/m romance and a beautiful finale to this extraordinary family saga.
I have been so excited for Luca's book. The build up of anticipation amongst the Hawke clan in the previous two books that surrounded his return to NOLA was fantastic and created the perfect segue to his story. There were so many possibilities of what was in store. Layered with suspicions, threats, a ton of deceit creating really high expectations in my mafia loving mind. And once again, this talented author took me where I never expected to go! With her impeccable writing, perfectly executed twists and an ending I never would have expected - my mind is blown and my heart is full!
Nothing beats a gorgeous, powerful, ruthless mob boss with a heart. Wait, what? Yup. Luca's return was like returning to his roots. To his childhood friends that were like his family. Only they weren't welcoming him with open arms. Oh no. They were skeptical, protective of their own and I'd say bitter. Luca's father, Dom, was like a wrecking ball to his tight knit crew. How were they to know or trust in his intentions after all the pain and havoc they'd endured? No one is safe.
Byron was an unexpected surprise. His ties and loyalty to the Hawke family was a complication to say the least. What starts as an innocent (wink wink) night with a beatiful stranger turns into a forceful pull and intense attraction. His struggle is nothing short of heart breaking. Will his desires cost him everything and everyone?
When things get gritty, will they all work out their differences and find common ground? Or will the secrets and deceit tear them all apart for good? Every word...every detail...SO SO GOOD!
Steele Resolve (The Hawke Family Book 6) By: Gwyn McNamee 5 out of 5 stars
The story Steele Resolve (The Hawke Family Book 6) by Gwyn McNamee is an M/M romantic suspense book. It is a story that hooked me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until I had finished the last page. I loved reading about the characters of Luca “Steele” Abello and Byron Harris. Luca is a man who wants to make his own way in life. He is starting over his way. Then he meets Byron. Byron is a man who is intelligent, determined, and loyal. He is also feeling guilt over the man he can’t stop thinking about after he learns of his true identity. There is an attraction between Luca and Byron. Will they take a chance and perhaps find something more together? Or is their situation too complicated to work? What does the future hold for Luca and Byron? Read this book to find out. This story is both intense and emotional. There are romantic moments as well as times when I wondered what was going to happen next. I grew to care about Byron and Luca with each chapter that I read and you cant help but want them to be happy. I enjoyed that some of the characters from the previous books made an appearance in this one. This is a series that should be read in order to understand situations and also enjoy the characters. I have to say that the author has created a book, series, and characters that are awesome and amazing. The characters come to feel like family and I really cared about what happened to them. The stories had me hooked and I got lost in the pages. This is a book and series that I would highly recommend reading.
Steele Resolve is a fast-paced novella and the final installment in Gwyn McNamee's Billionaires of New Orleans: The Hawke Family series. It's another installment filled with drama, suspense, and spice that will have you flipping the pages or swiping through them if you are reading on your e-reader. I was one reader who was eager to find out about the mysterious Luca Abello, who also goes by Steele, and how he ended up with Byron.
In this latest installment, Gwyn McNamee presents a forbidden romance between Steele and Byron. Their unexpected romance sparks an instant and undeniable chemistry between the two that they can't seem to let go. However, once Byron discovers Steele's true identity, he realizes he has made a mistake and is determined to distance himself from Steele. Despite this, Steele is determined; he aims to prove to Byron that he is not like his father. Additionally, Steele seeks to make amends with the family that once treated him as one of their own.
This novella had already hooked me in the beginning with how Steele and Byron met, but it really had me with how Steele proves himself in this book that he isn't his father, to not only Byron but to the Hawkes. It may be a novella, but Gwyn made sure to keep me on the edge of my seat and also had me rooting for Byron and Luca to find love with one another.
Overall, this installment in the series was another great one, and I give it four stars. This series is one I will always remember, and I'm looking forward to diving into the Second Generation books next.
If you're seeking a series packed with drama, suspense, spice, and excitement, I recommend checking out Gwyn McNamee's works. I highly suggest reading them in order, as the storylines continue throughout each book. Start with Savage Collision, the first book in the series.
Steele Resolve (The Hawke Family Book 6) by Author Gwyn McNamee
5 ++++ Stars
I just can't face that there will be no more Hawke Family books, and since there is a sentence after the end of this book that leads me to believe there will be something more in the future, I will hold out hope that we haven't heard the last of them.
I've loved every one of these books, as well as anything this author writes, she is an immediate go to when I want a story that kind of makes me feel like I have come home.
This one was a bit tougher for me as I don't normally choose to read this type of book but I had to in this case and just skimmed through a few parts and stayed completely focussed on the storyline. Luca was hard not to like, I think it's because this author gave us insight into his thoughts. What he was dealt because of his crime fathers death was a struggle that he managed perfectly. I could see both sides of this and felt how hard it was on everyone. Luca grew up loving the Hawkes and thought of them as family. He is left with big decisions to make, ones that will affect everyone he loves..Will he get back all that he wants in life or lose absolutely everything?
This as usual was written beautifully and I highly recommend grabbing this whole series, none of this will make sense if you don't have the whole story behind everyone in this book.
I see a reread of this whole series in my very near future!
I can’t believe this is it for the Hawke family saga! I am pretty sure that I cried simply from that very fact being realized when I completed the last few pages of this hot and delectable read. With that said this is part of a series obviously and really it could be read as a standalone, but I assure you will get spoilers to previous novels and a lessened enjoyment by doing so. This series has become a major favorite, probably one of my top three, and I couldn’t imagine not enjoying it all together. The Hawkes have become like a family that I know and so real! The way that Gwyn McNamee writes these characters truly spins them into your life.
Steele Resolve gives us the story of Luca and Byron. I loved these two! The chemistry between them is absolute fire hot enough to melt ‘steel’. Nothing they go through of course can be easy, making for delicious reading material and wonderful storylines that will keep you glued to your kindle until you finish the novella in one fell swoop. Don’t be concerned though that this is just a novella and that it will be shorting you on anything that you would get with a full length novel. Steele Resolve gives you the whole story and doesn’t skimp on any of the goods. While I am sad to see this family saga come to a close, I am super excited to see what other characters dwell in the mind of Gwyn McNamee and I Iook forward to each of their stories.
Steele Resolve is the sixth book in the Hawke family series written by Gwyn McNamee and it’s the final book in this series and I’m sad for this series to end. The characters are amazing and well developed and the storyline was great especially that it’s the last book in this series.
Luca “Steele” Abello isn’t just dangerous he is a mob boss and he’s lethal. He is a master manipulator, liar, and user, no one should trust a word that comes out of his mouth. But he has come back to New Orleans to clean his family name up. He even wants to make up with his friends/family the Hawke’s that he hasn’t seen in years. There’s a catch they don’t trust him. He kept going back, even though he is risking Bryon and his own if they continue their indiscretion. The truth of what he is could get them both killed, but being with the man who’s such an integral part of the Hawke family is even more terrifying.
Byron Harris works for the Hawke’s. He didn’t know who Luca was until he walked into the club. He never should have let it go beyond that first night, but he couldn’t stay away. The only people he ever cared about are on opposing sides, and I’m the rift that could end their friendship forever.
I highly recommend this book/series. I hope we will see these characters in some other work by this amazing author… By Tracy
Steele Resolve (Hawke Family #6) By Gwyn McNamee 5 stars
I think my heart may be officially broken! This series has been my all-time favourite ever written by an author I have absolutely come to adore! I will admit I am not a fan of m/m stories but I needed to read Steele Resolve because I knew I was going to finally find out about Luca! The book was very cleverly written running alongside timewise a previous on in the series. The dual POV meant I was fully able to understand the characters and their most inner thoughts and feelings – this meant in true Ms McNamee style some wonderful twists and turns appeared! The whole series was tied together with this story and I really was so sad when I realised that this was actually over. Byron and Luca’s story was so intense that I forgot that I was reading a m/m story after all love is love! Their story was truly captivating and I loved every second of it. From the moment I read Savage Collision (book 1) I knew I had found an author to love and a series that would be amazing to read and it absolutely has been. That still remains one of my favourite books ever. The Hawke Family series has truly been outstanding and I cannot recommend the books enough. Steele Resolve was the perfect final book and it deserves the 5 stars I give it!
Steele Resolve (The Hawke Family Book 6) by Gwyn McNamee is sadly the last book in this great series. I suggest you read all the books in the series in order so that you get the complete picture and backstories of all the wonderful characters. I have come to love all of the characters in this series and am glad that Gwyn included Luca as part of the Hawke family. This sexy M/M romance is a story where it is bad enough being a mob boss without throwing being gay into the mix makes for one suspenseful and explosive story.
Luca has come home and wants back into the Hawke family that he had when they were younger but when your are the son of one of the most .mob bosses, you are by default just as bad as your surname. What he didn’t expect was to find the one person who could make his life complete.
Byron can’t stop thinking about the man he had just had a one night stand and when that person turns up for a meeting with the Hawke’s he realises just how much of a mess his life is now in. Will he reveal the truth to the people he sees as family or will he walk away from the best thing that has ever happened.
This story was so good I am sorry to see the series end but can’t wait to see what Gwyn has in store for us in the future.
Steele Resolve what a book! I must say this wasn’t the usual genre of book I read but due to it being a Hawke Family book, I couldn’t miss the chance of reading Gwyn McNamee’s work again! It was bittersweet reading this book as it’s the last but I'm excited to see what other amazing things this author brings. This book should only really be read as part of a series, for the full story to make sense, and to fully understand every story surrounding the Hawke family.
With that being said, Steele Resolve was written amazingly with some incredible characters. Luca & Byron have undeniable strong chemistry but is it meant to be? They face some major ups and downs that keep you hooked throughout. This book is full on content and you are captivated right until the very end. I still love that these books are written in dual POV’s as it really gives you a better insight into each character their real thoughts and feelings, and makes you love and connect with them even more. I can’t believe this series is over, I will be hoping for Gwyn McNamee to revisit some of our favourite characters and give us some more of their story, but until then, Thank-you for this amazing series you have brought us. I highly recommend everyone read this series and enjoy it as much as I did!
To end with peace when their worlds have been nothing but turmoil is the perfect way to send this amazing group of people out!
Byron and Luca have been on the sidelines watching the hurt, pain and devastation caused at the hands of an Abello and it’s only fitting that an Abello fixes that devastation! His work is cut out for him and it’s a war not a battle he will fight to not only find love but find his family once again!
Luca was the glue to piece the hole in Byron’s heart that no one knew existed and it was Byron who was Lucas guiding light to figure out where his place is in the world! Only together can these two be hole and only together can they help to patch up the lives of the Hawkes!
My heart is content yet sad that this is the last book for the Hawkes and I’m so overcome with emotion getting to see them all together again! I have loved this family for years and I will continue to love them always! Thank you Gwyn for an amazing group of people and thank you for writing a book that lets us all know to be who we are no matter what! Let love guide you and you won’t regret it!
Steele Resolve is the closing chapter of Gwyn McNamee Hawke Family series. It is absolutely not meant to be read as a standalone! All the stories in the series are intertwined and you need to read them in order to fully understand where the writer is taking you! It is a novella but it packs a punch and gives us a grand finale that the series deserves! Love is the battlefield for Byron Harris and Luca “Steele” Abello that comes with real threats and dire consequences … they are walking along the path that I do not wish even onto my enemies though if it all goes well, their life would be one of the fairy tales … Luca is the son of Hawke family enemy, his father almost destroyed the family and brought untold pain and misery … Byron is the adopted member of the family that he cannot imagine to be disloyal to … what should they do? Let each other go? Steal the moments? What a drama does the writer give us when she brings it all together … the past and the present and the future … and the epilogue … my goodness! I know that the writer will give us many more stories and I will be on a lookout!
Steele Resolve is the last novella that is part of the Hawke Family series. This book follows Byron who is a bartender/manager for Savage and Gabe and Luca who is the son of Dom.
This story shows us that the path to love is not always an easy one, especially with the issues Lucas father has cause for the Hawke family. Despite this being a novella it still packs all the powerful emotional punch that I have come to know in Gwyn’s books.
Luca introduces himself first as Steele to Byron when they meet and of course they spend a steamy night together. This comes to a screeching halt when Luca enters The Hawkeye Club and Byron realizes who he has had a passionate night with.
This shocks Byron to his core and he struggles throughout the novella with the guilt of this knowledge knowing who he has slept with.
This novella has definitely brought the Hawke series full circle. Family is everything to the Hawkes and they continue to survive through their trials and tribulations. Family isn’t always blood- it is who you choose to make it.
It’s a sad thing to say goodbye to the originals, but I’m super excited to be jumping into the second generation.
Steele Resolve: A Hawke Family Novel by Gwyn McNamee is the sixth book in the Hawke Family series. This is a series that will have you hooked immediately and each book just seems to get better. When I read this book I didn’t both t read the blurb or look at the cover at all so was initially shocked to realise it was the M/M book that I had been dying to read. These characters have had their story bubbling away in the background for ages and I was so excited to finally get my hands on it. I absolutely loved the two of them together. I honestly couldn’t say which one of them I preferred. They were perfectly compatible together in a way that just sucked me right in. The story was not disappointing either. This is one author I have come to expect high quality work from because time and time again she delivers, which is exactly what happened again this time. This was a brilliant way to end this series, although I am sad there won’t be more to come. I can’t wait to see what Gwyn McNamee does next.
Steele Resolve (The Hawke Family Book 6) by Gwyn McNamee is a five star novel. I have loved every minute of reading the Hawke Family series and am so sad that it is now over! Please read the first books of this series before you read this one because the character development done in the first part of the series is crucial to really being able to enjoy this book in all of its gloriousness. Steele is part of the wrong side according to the Hawke’s but when one of their men fall in love with him, they know that something is about to change. Byron has been a part of the Hawke Family for years, taking care of them like he was born to do it. They have accepted him until his new secret is about to come out. He is t sure the Hawke’s are going to take it well and hopes that he will still have a job when he discloses this new information about himself. The biggest hurdle is that the man he fell in love with will be hard to be accepted by the Hawke’s because of their bad blood in the past. Continue reading this series to see how it will all come to an end!
A Hawke Family Story ending? Say it isn’t so!?! No matter, the story is still good. Better than good. Word of warning: This is NOT a stand-alone. It must be read in order or you won’t know anything that is going on or who the characters even are.
Looking at the number of pages, I thought it was going to be too short of a story...but then I realized that McNamee packs a lot of punch into all her stories! And Steele Resolve is no different.
This story, in fact I think this whole series, proves my point of you can’t help who you love and I love that. In the stories that I read and in real life. Byron is part of the Hawke family, they trust him, they love him. Luca aka Steele not so much. When these two get together the pages sizzle and burn!! Wow! Trust and love are two key elements for happiness. But throw in a little bad blood and some misunderstandings and you have yourself a pretty good story!
Looking forward to what else McNamee shares with us!!
Steele Resolve (The Hawke Family Book 6) by Gwyn McNamee. This book was amazing. I stayed up until 2 am reading it. I didn't want to put it down. Its the story of Mob Boss Luca Steele Abello, a master manipulator, liar and user. So when Byron Harris has a one night stand with him not knowing who he actually was, he's devastated. Byron knows that Luca's dad is the person that tried to destroy Byron's family or the only people who have ever treated him like family. Luca seems to be trying to make amends for his father's doings but Byron doesn't trust him but he can't resist him. Will Luca really change and become a more honest business man or is he just up to his old tricks. Byron knows his relationship with him could be deadly for both of them but he can't stop from going to him. Will Byron and Luca survive or will everything fall apart when the Hawke's find out and will they shut Byron out. This is an amazing book and once you start reading you won't want to stop!
Steele Resolve is the sixth novel in the Hawke Family series my Gwyn McNamee. This is my ninth novel by this author.
Words can’t describe how I feel after reading this. This author is one of my favorites and I have to read whatever she writes when I see she has something new coming out.
This was just as emotional and roller coaster ride as the previous novels and I loved this one to pieces. It had me sad, cry, happy and at times I wasn’t sure what to feel.
I read that this was the last installment in the Hawke family series. I am not ready to say goodbye to these characters. In fact, I may just reread the series including the novels I did not get a chance to read.
I don’t read a lot of M/M romances but I am going to start putting this on my list especially anything as engaging as this with Romeo and Juliet vibe (which is my favorite play).
I look forward to authors next novel even if the book is not this series.
Ah....I hate that the Hawke Family saga is over....but a truly beautiful ending indeed. I've wanted to read some MM from Gwyn McNamee and she did not disappoint me in the least. When we last saw Byron, he was getting ready to confess something to the Hawke's and it is a doozy. While we kinda know in our heads what he has to say, hearing how he met Steele and how their "relationship" continued despite all the bad Hawke/Abello blood truly drew me in. Luca wants his friends back, but he also feels the need to make his mark, wipe out his father's horrible legacy, be who he is and all while keeping himself alive. At some point, something has to give....and it may not be in the manner you are prepared to deal with. Suspenseful and at times heartbreaking but in the end, we have a satisfying end to a storyline that kept us enthralled from the very first collision!
Steele Resolve was a thrilling 5 star M/M read and the 6th and final book in the Hawke Family series.
Byron has a hot one night stand with a man that he didn’t think he would see again. Until he walks into the bar to meet with the Hawkes. Byron is devastated to find out who Luca is. Luca is the son of the mob boss that is enemies with the Hawkes.
How will the Hawkes feel if they find out about his night with Luca?
Things get very interesting. Luca and Byron have such a hot connection you can feel it coming off the pages. This story is told in dual POV which I really enjoyed. This is a quick read that will pull you right in. This can be read as a stand alone but your really should read from the beginning, it will help you connect with the story better. I can’t wait to read more from this author.
Gwyn McNamee is an automatic one-click for me & once again she did not disappoint!
Steele Resolve is the story of Luca “Steele” Abello, who has come to town to take over his father’s businesses & Byron Harris, close family friend & manager of the Hawkeye Club. A chance encounter brings them together, but will the truth tear them apart?!?This is a story full of twists & turns, some suspense, a sizzling hot m/m romance and an amazing conclusion to Gwyn’s Hawke Family series!
If you haven’t already “met” the Hawkes, I highly recommend going back & reading from the beginning!
***Reading the previous books in the Hawke series is a must! While each book focuses on a different couple, there is a continuing story arc & they are not meant to stand alone***
This is a book that I have been waiting for and it is finally here. Byron and Luca (Steele) Abello are two men that, once you read about them in the Hawke Books, you can never forget about them. Neither of these two have had a normal life. Luca being the son of the notorious Dom Abello, has to make people see that he is not his father. That he wants just wants his friends back and to run the businesses differently, but nothing ever goes as planned. Byron is a sweet man who is there for his Hawke family, so when Luca comes into the picture Byron has a hard time dealing with the guilt he starts to feel. There are surprises and a big turn of events that I didn’t see coming. Steele Resolve is a beautiful book to end the Hawke Series off with, but it is sad because this is the end.
