Hiding in a Seashell

Rate this book
This story is about a world where everything is flipped upside down. One mental health counselor begins a career hating the patients he is forced to handle. Happiness is a foreign concept in the world, and only hate and negativity exist. Patients are declared mentally ill if they feel joy, love, or happiness... As the councilor ages, he realizes that the world might have it backward, and embracing the feelings that patients felt were not harmful. He begins to conclude that patients euphoric feelings could be a step in the right direction. Sadly, he is unable to say anything. After he realizes the truths of life, he falls victim to the fate he had once given others. The writing is mostly contemporary and follows the style that I originally developed but with a little more thrill!

With every story I read by this author, I gain further knowledge into the minds of those of us (and there are many) who suffer from mental illnesses. In my field, I work with many who are suffering from some type of mental disorder, or, often, their parents (most of my clients are children) and there are so many who need understanding and hope. This author shares his insights while he entertains. I highly recommend this book, as I have many other of his books.
