Boy, was this book exhausting! 🤦♀️ I love dark books really, twisted, manipulative mindf*ck that is equally dark and delicious .. that’s one of my jams. 😅 However, although I knew this book wasn’t a romance before hand, I thought there would at least be some semblance of a story. This is just one endless chapter of rape, abuse and sick acts of a psychopath. 😶 I feel exhausted and drained after this. I might not read from this author again. 🤷♀️

Read the blurb and the warnings. This is not a romance in any way. It's twisted and dark and at times too expository - it needed a bit more of showing and a little less telling. I have loved all the books in this series because they are dark and depraved. If that's not your thing don't read this.

IF THERE WERE A SOLUTION, IT WASN'T IN THE BOOK!
I won't judge the intrigue, it was the author's choice and I respect it... as abhorrent as it is, it's a fiction and some sides of it happen in real life. However, I have very little regard for the storyline and no regard at all for the ending.
The narration was vague, uncertain and held no literary quality, it felt as if the author was talking to a stupid audience, there were explanations that didn't have their place in the text... this is what happens when authors don't distance themselves from their works long enough to see them in a new light, and when they don't re-read themselves! I did also detest the fact that there were no story development, no character construction and no major contribution to the plot other than the non-consensual, explicit scenes of sex/rape that were as charmless as they were abject, and I detested the abrupt ending even more. No cliffhanger, no open ending, no suspense... it's just an abrupt ending; the story was cut short in the middle of a scene and that doesn't leave a good impression about both book and author because when authors grow fond of their books and the characters they learn to know and love, they find all the struggles in the world to end their books and say goodbye to the characters, they make their stories longer, more consistent, more poignant... so much so that the endings do never leave the readers indifferent!

July 23, 2024Deep dark my butt! Book one was the spoils of war. It could and probably has happened. Thought it was interesting this world. Where the YYX chromosome was like those lizards and fish. Where if something happens to the male. The most dominant female takes over that role. She becomes a he.
But this right here...dude! Book 2 had a Prince angers the "Council ". The old Kings dies. Then the Council says you can't be king. But perfect for the role of queen. He justifies 7 dudes impregnate him. WHAT
the third book, dude was done wrong by his family. His new keepers are the "sharing is caring" Types. Because betas that are forced into transmuting into omegas are more fertile.
This one here is an alpha. I don't care if they use the potion from Book 2 again. I'm out, duces!

When Junen's father and Alpha of their pack rejects an insane Alpha's offer Theon then decides to kidnap Junen who is the next Alpha in line to accomplish his agenda.
Theon uses old texts as guidelines and tries various attempts at changing Junen from an Alpha into an Omega.
Things I wish for in this book...
1) That we have a description of the MC's. Junen we have a picture on the cover, which I absolutely love, but the only description we have for Theon is shorter and smaller built than Junen with dark eye color, thick eyelashes, and powerful thighs. At this point I picture him in my head as a twink with a huge ego. Some of the other alpha's have better descriptions, but names aren't given so you're wondering who is who.
2) That the book was expanded to include the meeting with Junen's father and Junen's kidnapping.
3) That it is re-edited. It has a few typos.
4)
I feel so protective of Junen and just want to stop everything that's happening to him and help him escape. I absolutely hate Theon with a passion and want him dead in the worst most painful way possible. Harry and Noel dying painfully would be great too.

this is daaaaaark.. haha i love dark. and sexy.. and totally not a romance imo. there are triggers in this story... if you have them i def recommend reading the trigger warnings.. but i don't have triggers so i really enjoyed this story! it was well written.. sexy.. and interesting. kinky and dark and enjoyable.

SPOILERS AHEAD SO BE WARNED!!! (Tho you’re not missing much imo)
For my own mental health and general happiness, this will be the last book i read from this author. After “His Brothers dowry” which i also rated 1 star whereby every single character rapes the MC (including his brother) and he end up with 3 “alpha”rapists who occasionally lend him to other alphas to breed him. This book is no exception with quite a similar story line. Its shock value for the sake of shock value without a coherent storyline.
In both books, both the MCs are raped and tortured various times which causes them to shift from beta or alpha into omegas and then suddenly all is well because their “omega biology” allows them to be content with the continuous rape and forced breeding m. The end. I appreciate the author fir specifying that this isn’t romance because honestly the books almost glorify these actions. Look i’m no stranger to dark snd taboo reads and I’ve enjoyed various books in the genre but i guess these books are where i draw my line.
I definitely wouldn’t recommend but if you’re curious go ahead but don’t expect a good well written storyline. Its just dark shock value content so if that’s your vibe go ahead and enjoy.

This is one dark mpreg story and although I’ve never read anything quite like it, it didn’t make it any less horrifying and disturbing to read.
Junen’s life is turned inside out as his captor wants to change him from an alpha into an omega. He’s forced to be something he never wanted and made to do things that he never dreamed of. My heart physically shattered every time he was raped by Theon and/or his minions. The more they broke him, the harder it was to watch him become a shell of his former self.
This story isn’t about hearts and romance; it’s about a man whose forcefully turned into an omega, in the most brutal of ways. This story was dark, twisted yet gripping. Please read the list the author has provided at the end of the blurb as this book might not be for everyone.

Wow ... I read the book because the review was general, I did not say anything about romance anymore anyway, I thought it was a slightly distorted novel, but no, and a book of abuse and rape, I finished reading and the only thing that I managed to think and how someone can write it as normal, and sick, I was incredulous after reading and in disgust.

Definitely not a romance, no HEA nor HFN, but deliciously dark, wicked, and kinky. When Junen is kidnapped his journey is definitely dark, twisted and kinky wrapped in a great storyline that is very well written and flows smoothly. It will definitely keep you captivated throughout this quick read. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

Although I quite enjoy Alpha/Omega Mpreg stories, and I don't mind the occasional "dark" story, I actually hated this one.
The writing was good; the storyline well worked out; the characters OK; my stomach was actually turned by what Junen had to go through. I guess IRL he'd be totally catatonic with what they did to him, but it's no good using a paranormal excuse for something so horrid. Sorry.

I dont even have the words , this is not a romance ,not in the least ,there is no love here ,just abuse, kidnapping ,gang bangs and psychological and emotional manipulation and breakdown of the the MC. I know , I know ,if I had read the blurb in full ,I could have avoided a ton of agony!!

PLEASE: READ THE BLURB AND ITS WARNINGS BEFORE READING THIS BOOK
Definitely not a book for those that need a HEA or, at least a HFN since this story is far from romance. It is for those, like me, that love when the MCs suffer and, in this case, there's no respite for poor Junen. Dreadful story, wonderful read.
