I’ve read many of the “A Little Bit of” books, and really like that they are exactly what they say they are. It’s just an intro to a variety of mystical topics, perfect for those that want exposure and a base level understanding.

This author did a good job of providing examples of the different Clairs, and how to determine the difference between intuition and things like projection, fear, etc. great little intro book.

Easy to read in a sitting.

I actually enjoyed this book and wanted to give it 3 stars, but it was different than what I was looking for so I have to give it two stars. I was hoping for a book that would help you tune into your intuition in a practical, daily, layperson kind of way. This book seems to be more written for people who already have the predisposed gift of seeing, feeling, and hearing predictions of the future, instead of just feeling out what is right for you on a day to day basis. I would have loved more of that information. More guidance of how to trust the small tiny i clings and to hone in on those... as opposed to big visions or hearing voices, etc. but it was good.

I really loved this little book. It was super easy to read, while at the same time being full of information. I will undoubtedly read some of the other books in this series now.

Intuition is so powerful and it is something that every being holds. Tapping into your intuition is challenging but this book is definitely super helpful.

I absolutely loved this book. I grew up with intuitive and clairvoyant mothers, aunties, and grandmothers, and I always knew I possessed these gifts as well. As I keep soul searching and learning to trust myself more, I see that my intuition is getting stronger and stronger. Reading this book and learning about the specifics makes me feel like I haven't been lying to myself this entire time. Would definitely recommend to those who want to grow in their spiritual journeys and want to further their intuitive knowledge.

This is such a wonderful book and it spoke to me in a very personal way. If you're looking for a detailed "how to" book on how to improve your intuition then this might not be the book you are looking for. However, Catharine included exercises (meditation and having a small group of like minded people) that will help a person tune in more to their intuition.

Catharine Allan articulated very well what I (and many others) have probably experienced many times in their lives but didn't pursue to know what intuition really is. She also tackled on how to distinguish between a true or pure intuition versus projecting your fears, worries, trauma to a person. She also discussed about how to communicate well your visions to the people concerned. Overall, a good book for those who are just starting in their awakened path.

Catharine sounds like such a blissful forgiving soul, I can only imagine how her energy is in person. I enjoyed this book. I applaud the venture on this topic because it can be difficult to stand up in a world of science, facts, and logic to say that intuition IS a reliable real source. We need more books like this that welcome a different way of thinking.

I truly loved the section about how something made you "feel" and how the type of feeling presents itself. I'm aware of that now, what different emotions present as. And of course how I was feeling before I met someone and how I was feeling AFTER. What a revelation to be aware of!

The only critique is I wished there were more examples that actually fit my life. I feel like I read ten times the example of taking a different route in traffic "just because." There weren't enough to relate to for me.

This book took me kind of long but only because I like to read like 4 books at a time. Besides that, since reading this book, my intuition has become so much stronger. The point of this book is to listen to yourself even when it may not seem logically right. I’ve always kept a steady meditation practice and just recently (2020) started journaling and it has increased my inner voice so much. To listen to yourself, despite what others may say, feels like actual magic. I highly recommend this book and I plan to read the other books in the series.

I liked the ideas presented in this book and felt it would be a good starting point for some people. However, I took issue with the authors apparent fear of bipolar and seeing a psychiatrist.

I don’t see how that is relevant or helpful in any way. Being intuitive and mentally ill are not mutually exclusive and I take issue with the suggestion that bipolar is a worst case scenario.

I’m sure it wasn’t the authors intention to demonise this illness but it was mentioned several times and totally unnecessary.

This book is exactly what it says it is—a sweetly packaged introduction to the basics of intuition. It will be encouraging for those who may have had some clairvoyant moments that they want to learn about and figure out how to cultivate. The book is balanced as it also gives an overview on how to determine what is NOT intuition(but fear), and how to use your intuition in an ethical manner. I came across this little book in a gift shop in Wisconsin two years ago. It was my intuition that recently brought me to my bookshelf to pluck this book off the shelf. ;-)

This has been the first book I finished since I was hit by COVID burn out. The mixtures of personal stories and detailed explanations definitely made me forget I was actually learning something. I loved the quirky-well written chapters. The book allowed me to zone in and create images in my mind (Much to my history teacher’s dismay).Overall this book is unlike any informative piece I have ever read.

Very affirming and guiding. I'll probably come back to this little book over and over again in my journey as a healer and empath. Maps out why she is the way she is and how she's observed and honed her abilities over her life. She doesn't sugar coat this or make it sound perfect, she maps out what hurts about being intuitive. Also talks about consent. Automatic 5 stars.

This little book packs a big punch. It was handed to me by a student who thinks I may have a little bit more intuition than the average person. Maybe I do, but then again, maybe I don’t. Maybe we all do in one form or another -- I just know that going with the gut is usually the right path to take.

It's a nice book which will give you the basics on how to get to understand your intuition and be confident with it. It will teach you at the macro level how intuition can look like and how to find it in your self.

For a beginner, the content is invaluable. As someone who has a well developed intuition myself, it’s very much a repeat of what I already know. Still invaluable and will be sharing with others.

Not as helpful as I hoped

It's a good little read, but it wasn't as helpful as I hoped it would be. Most of the information and exercises were things I already knew, unfortunately.

Honestly not a bad book, I loved it. I just wish she would have dumbed things down a bit more because some things may not make sense to the beginner.

I love the "A Little Bit Of:" series, but I felt like this one could've been a little more in depth. It was still a pretty good read, but I think it had the potential to be better.
