Porter is back and I’m over the moon! Porter has been my favourite butt kicker since I first read about him. I absolutely love his tough guy wise cracking adventures. This time he’s in New York and he’s once again bumping heads with some bad guys. In fact, he’s up against some of the ‘baddest’ he’s faced so far. RA McGee gives us all we fans of Porter want: wise cracks, fist fights, a good guy who doesn’t care about ‘crossing the line’ and an entertaining twisting plot. What more could you ask for? Porter teams up with Detective Rivera this time and the pairing is wonderful. They bat banter back and forth and the chemistry between them adds another layer to the story. This was one of those genuinely ‘can’t put down’ books for me. I was disappointed if I ever had to stop reading. This book forms part of the Porter series but it can be read without having read the previous books. There may be a few minor spoilers if you plan to go back and read them but nothing that should ruin them. Overall another hugely entertaining success from RA McGee.

This is by far the best that McGee has put out yet! They just keep getting better. This author is a master at writing well choreographed action scenes, bringing characters to life, and making you feel emotionally connected while literally feeling the physical pain of his characters. I'm sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book in the Porter series. You won't find a better, more real hero in any genre. Hands down.

Porter is a man one never wants to cross. He's vicious, tough, determined, and plays 'outside the box.' He is, however, someone you would definitely want on your side.

In this adventure, we encounter The Mob, human traffiking, the sex trade, gambling, and not a little violence.

Porter sets out on a mission and finds some unexpected help along the way.

This book will keep you on the edge of your seat and I highly recommend it!!

Savage Code by RA McGee

As with the three previous books in the Porter series, this was also a fast-paced, action-oriented thriller from start to finish. Cast in NewYork city, showcases how Mafia type mobs abduct and trade children for prostitution and drugs. Good finally wins over evil, so to speak with Porter mailing it his mission to get rid of many evil-doers in this story. Eager to read the next boo, Cold Comfort.

Love the Porter series

Read all 4 books and love the characters and the way they are portrayed. This book was fast paced and brought back a gal from another book. Plus some new characters that may or may not be around in another book. As usual a very well told story with impeccable editing. Well done. Can’t wait for next

Awesome

Each book in this series gets better and better. I love Porter’s character. The story was really a good one. There was so much happening all the time. With the exception of one break to grocery shop I read it straight through. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

Porter gets the job done, though his methods might not be always be those approved by most law enforcement agencies. This author’s books always have plenty of action, and though a lot of it lives up to the title, Porter’s code aims to protect the defenseless.

Barely a 3 star. Not as good as Book 3 in this series. Some backsliding in plotting. There is a lot of truth in the old saw about writing; the easiest part of writing is the beginning - the hardest part, the end. And McGee has some real problems with that.

A mystery thriller that needs to be read.

I loved it. I had problems putting the book down. This is a great, well developed book with intriguing characters and plot. As I read the book the movie in my head was running fast and furiously. I love a book that makes a complete movie in your head. It makes you to read more and more. There has to be a book after this one as there seems to be unfinished business and pain in the heart for a man who may need to clear demons from his past. Porter is like a duck, calm on the outside but running like mad on the inside. He needs to fix this unnatural underbelly of a problem, now. No matter what it takes from his heart and soul.
