Proceedings of Symposium G1 of the Cospar 29th Plenary Meeting Held in Washington, D. C., (Advances in Space Research)
The thirty-three papers presented here result from the programme of microgravity research covered at the 1992 World Space Congress. During 1990-1992 several major missions such as the International Microgravity Laboratory (IML-1) and the United States Microgravity Laboratory (USML) were successfully launched, and timely, although preliminary, scientific results are contained in this volume. There are scientific reports covering space flight experiments and advances in ground-based research which provide insights into virtually every one of the usual microgravity subfields including fluid sciences; modelling; physical chemistry; crystal growth; and solidification. Invited COSPAR papers also feature in a special session on fundamental physics in microgravity.
