Engine-tuning expert A. Graham Bell steers you through the various modifications that can be made to coax maximum useable power output and mechanical reliability from your two-stroke. Fully revised with the latest information on all areas of engine operation, from air and fuel, through carburation, ignition, cylinders, porting, reed and rotary valves, and exhaust systems to cooling and lubrication, dyno tuning and gearing.
similarly to A. Bells four-stroke performance tuning book, this book goes into extreme detail regarding performance tuning a two-stroke engine. I usually recommend this book along with Gordon Jennings two stroke tuners handbook, because this book has what the first one doesnt and vice versa.
a great read, a little on the complex side of things but still manageable and easy to read.
Good book about two stroke tuning. Often, two stroke machines seem to operate in a magical world, and only some magicians are able do tune and decipher information. While there are almost endless ideas, concepts, and tests that one can continue to do on two strokes and their various configurations, this is a handy book that initiates one into some understanding of the design, develops some practices that one to could to develop a repeatable engine package, and/or a reminder of some things that have been done and should be done.
