This book is a very good reference for starting to use procreate. The features were very well explained and demonstrated what they do well. I would recommend if your just starting with program. I knock a star because the practice projects are for high level artists. or people very comfortable with drawing from imagination I think simpler or more easy to mimic arts would be a better choice but either way this is a good guide.

easy to read and guides you through the main functions of procreate. The text isnt overwhelming and it is super helpful for beginners. I have been using procreate for over a year and there are some tips that ive just found out while reading this book!

It has great tutorials from well known artists that highlight the use of these functions. This is super helpful to get a good insight to a digital artists work flow. Overall its a simple book for those who want to use procreate and are new to digital art

This book is a great purchase to make if you want to learn the digital drawing app known as Procreate, it breaks down the process of it to the point that I think anyone would be able to understand it.

While I may only give the beginner basics of how the app works and it’s main features are, the biggest perk about this book are the many in-depth projects that it helps you along the way with. Each project is actually based off the images of the cover of the book, and also even has links to free downloadable content to help you too.

Defs recommend this book for people like me who are just starting out on Procreate but can’t just go off YouTube, Pinterest, or Instagram tutorials and just needs an actual book to break it down and help you every step of the way!

Great content but issues with quality

Great content but issues with reading quality. Lines squashed together, letters out of place so I couldn’t read it very well. Waited for this for AGES and can’t finish it because of these issues. Not worth over £20

Автори крок за кроком пояснюють саму структуру Procreate та показують, що ми можемо отримати використовуючи різноманітні функції. Це все написано легко й пізнавально, тому навчатися дуже цікаво.

Додатково у книзі є декілька малюнків різноманітних художників, де кожен із них оформлений у окремий підрозділ із детальними інструкціями, як намалювати такий самий. Вони всі у різних стилях, тому процес навчання максимально різноманітний.

Також наприкінці книги ви знайдете QR-код із корисними матеріали, пензлями та інформацією, яка буде корисною у подальшому розвитку в Procreate.

Поділюся ще декількома думками з книги:

• Найкраще в ілюстрації – це відсутність обмежень реального світу; надихайтесь реальним світом і насолоджуйтеся створенням нового з фантастичними та перебільшеними кольорами чи формами.

• Коли ви опанували інструменти й техніки роботи в Procreate, завжди запитуйте себе «чому?» під час роботи. Поміркуйте, як дизайн персонажів, колір, освітлення й техніка малювання підтримуватимуть задум. Це важливі інструменти у вашому арсеналі. Використовуйте їх розумно.

I like the book. I'm not a total Procreate beginner but I want to get better at it. I'm not only a writer but also a trained artist. Some people love to curl up in bed with a novel, I love to do it with an art book. In no time at all, inspiration begins to flow and the chimney of my creative space gets unclogged and I burst off my stitches with ideas. I love Procreate because you can take it anywhere since it lives on your iPad. For people who are both verbal and visual, it is a great tool. This book takes you through the basic steps you need to familiarize yourself with the app and begin using it. It has projects which you can follow and do as a way to learn or just read through to get tips and ideas. So far, I like it.

Poor formatting makes it useless on kindle

White text on a black background makes it unreadable. The text is formatted for visual appeal but the font can’t be adjusted in kindle. Unless you’re willing to do a lot of zooming in and out and scrolling from side to side of the page, it isn’t useful. The same info is available in more useful formats in plenty of other places. For me, this book is just a waste of money.

100% recommend. This book is amazing. It is the best I have found on resources for procreate digital painting. Gives step by step instructions and teaches you start to finish the steps to take when using procreate. While I had some familiarity already with it, this book was easy to follow and I was still able to learn a lot with the information provided.

A good base of lessons but people unfamiliar with digital art tools. I found most of it to be well explained but there were tools that were not explained well enough for me to find them on the interface without googling it. I'm confident if you read this book, you would get more comfortable with procreate and then it would take some experimentation to get the results you're looking for

Pretty good except it says to download the resources, but does tell you where to download from. Luckily I Googled and found them. I do wish that the projects would start out simpler and get more advanced.

I don't think this book is the best way to learn how to draw using Procreate. The technical tools section is great, however, some of the tools have changed since the updates to the app. Personally, not worth the investment :)
