From one of my all-time favorite authors of romantic suspense, Freya Barker's ability to weave a drama-filled romance is epic!! Filled with the perfect amount of well written, edge of your seat twists this series was hard to put down!
Book #1 BURNING FOR AUTUMN
Interim Chief of Police Keith Blackfoot doesn't want to be the chief, he just wants to get back out in the field and catch the guy starting fires in his town before someone is seriously injured. Then it seems the feisty woman he met at The Irish is the focus of the arsonist and Keith is more determined than ever to get to the bottom of things before Autumn becomes a casualty in a mad man's plans.
Autumn McCoy just accepted a temporary contract at Mercy Hospital's level III trauma center setting up a brand-new burn center and loves her new job. Yet, meeting new people has never been easy and it seems she has taken out her crummy day on an unsuspecting guy at the local pub. One whose help she may just rely on to save her very life.

OMG! I LOVED every single book in this series! The drama is intense as these couples each struggle to solve a mystery that is all somewhat related to the other, which is slowly revealed throughout the series. We once more are given the amazing mature characters this author is known for and I couldn’t help but fall in love with them all as they each feel real to me. With each book adding more of the secondary characters, I was always ready for the next book in the series because I had already begun to bond with the character. Highly recommend each of these books!

Loved the first set of the on call series!
I love this series! Freya’s writing is suspenseful, hot, captivating and the love, loyalty and family shines bright! I really liked the mc’s in each books and the secondary characters are awesome and i can’t wait to read about them including the ones featured in other series! ❤️

These books were great! I’m intrigued to read more of the series. The fact that the characters are all established and in their forties brought a new perspective to the stories. All the books started out with well written backgrounds and jumped right into the action. Would gladly recommend these to anyone!
