That’s a big no-no for an angel. My boss shrunk my wings as a consequence. But did he have to make them so small? They’re the size of baby cupid wings for cloud’s sake!
That’s why I’ve been hiding out on earth, in the small town of Silver Springs—feeding my shoe obsession and trying to understand humans so I can magic up a winning miracle this year.
But humans are impossible to understand. They wear shoes that hurt their feet. They want you to smile at strangers but not too wide or you look crazy. They claim their brains fart—that’s not even physically possible!
I need to understand people so I can get my wings back.
But one enchanted pumpkin spice latte later … my plans start to go to hell in a hand-basket.
I meet Parker Blue, and thanks to the latte, I can see he’s my soulmate. And he’s a demon.
An angel can’t be soulmates with a demon! That’s impossible!
But that impossibility doesn’t even compare to what happens next.
Parker brings me home to figure out this mess and I find out he’s not my only soulmate. His roommates, two hot computer nerds, drop their jaws when they see me.
Will I get to fulfill my Christmas miracle or decide heaven can wait?
Note: This is a paranormal reverse harem romance intended for adult audiences.
A little funny, a little ridiculous and a little sweet. Excluding outsiders, I enjoyed this one. Ruby is horribly innocent and naive, pretty much the most angel I’ve read. I loved the guys, sweet and nerdy. My favourite ending so far. More plot than sex.
I kept this story from the basic Jewels Cafe series, the original 12 stories, for today. It's slightly longer than the other stories (although not as much as the page count suggested) and I really wanted to be sure I would take the time to enjoy it to the fullest. Because, out of all the stories this one was maybe the most my thing. Angels, Heaven, God and of course Hell and Demons too.
I had already met Ruby in previous books, where she was passing by as a side character once in a while, and there I had already grown fond of her. And I only liked her more and more now I read her story and was in her head. Ruby just is this cute, endearing and naive character. I think it's almost impossible not to like her and therefore it's quite easy to connect with the guys, who fall for her based on some soulmate concept. If I can fall in love with Ruby after reading a few bits about her, it's not that hard to believe that people actually meeting her would fall head over heals right away too.
On top of that I also really liked the plot of this story. The double plot actually. We had Ruby, who had a Christmas miracle to pull off and who had chosen a really hard task. And we had her guys, who knew Ruby was their soulmate and had to convince her that she wanted them just as badly as they wanted her. The guys also got surprisingly much background and I really got the feeling we knew them by the end. They were cute and dorky and nerdy and yet also still different. It was also very easy to understand why Ruby fell for them so soon. I would have too.
And last but not least I also really liked the mythology. The concept of Heaven and Hell and how it worked, how angels and demons did their job on earth, how God gave people free will, which meant that bad things can happen to them, it really felt right, like it could be true somehow. It clicked with me. If Denton ever decides to write more stories within this world and based on this mythology I'd really love to read it. Because this was absolutely beautiful.
Like some of the other Jewels Cafe books I've read this book is a reverse harem filled with over the top humor and puns. This was just what I needed to brighten my day. Ruby is an angel who doesn't really understand the English language or humans in general. She has to complete a miracle or suffer the consequences. Soon she meets a human man who is the roommate to a tech demon and another human. Complications happen and they start to believe they all may be her soul mates, but is that even possible? Read to find out.
Oh my gosh, yay! This book couldn't be any sweeter, hotter, or funnier I swear. Ruby is adorably naive for an angel and humans are so complicated. Her story is all about helping someone get their Christmas miracle and she is bumbling it. The struggle is real y'all. I adored this book.
This was funny, silly, adorable. Very likeable and easy reading. But I wished more: I hoped I would know characters better, I got quite good impression but yet needed more. And I also had some questions which didn't get answer. However I did enjoy the story. Wish it to be longer.
This book was innocent and adorable. It had me thinking about it's cheeky comments throughout the day. I had so much gun reading this book that made it a quick read. I love Ruby!
I really enjoyed this novel but I had lots of questions afterwards.
I loved the way that the split souls made four people connected not two people whole. I love the atheist coming to terms with the fact he had sold a part of his soul for something minor because he didn't believe it was real. I thoroughly enjoyed the geeky side of it.
The demon reminded me very much of Good Omens demon mainly being annoying than overly evil. Just like I loved the Angel who had so much beurocracy in the learning guides on how to "human".
The ending is awesome. Love the gamers teaching the angel all about it. It made me laugh.
The biggest confusion/question I had was they never explained the whole two guys as soul mates thing. Like would they have eventually come together as bi? Or were they only soul mates in terms of friendship?like... I need to know!
Apart from that, raunchy sexy scenes, good links with the previous stories and a fun HEA. The miracle is awesome too.

Fun series of stand alone books in a shared universe with a little bit of character cross over.
Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...
1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.
2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.
3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.
4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.
5 stars... I loved this book! It has earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.
Loving the Jewels Cafe collection, some of my fave authors new and old have all written within it.
This book took me a while to get into, whereas the others had me laughing out loud within the first few pages - but it does get funny, just takes a bit longer, or it's me being spoilt by the first in the series which is STILL my fave (gonread it, chaos and brilliance!).
Ruby is a bit lost, but then she is an angel on Earth so I do get it, but the naivity annoyed me a little. Her boys however, they were interesting and sweet straight away.
Almost too complex a story compared to the other Jewels Cafe books. Loving her best friend Amethyst, and all her help and guidance given in this so it has set me up nicely for the next book in series based on her too.
Amber is my favorite of the collection of these stories, and now Ruby is a very close second! I'd actually say they're both at the top for me and it's kind of hard to choose. Three hot but nerdy guys? An innocent angel that doesn't know much about humans at all? Shared souls for a delicious mix of soulmates? Yes, yes and yes please! This book was so hilarious that I couldn't help but laugh throughout it, which was just what I needed! And the guys were so sweet and perfect! I don't think Ruby could have gotten better guys! Definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a short and funny RH!
I got this book off a Facebook recommendation. Now normally I don't like to fall into a series without starting from the beginning but this was a completely self-contained book. From what I could see there are overlapping characters and themes. I liked Ruby, the out of touch Angel trying to grant a Christmas miracle and Parker, Bar, and Migs her super geeky soulmates. If you need a laugh and some laser tag fun check out this book.
I loved the humour in this! It's so perfectly nerdy and sweet. Ruby is wonderfully innocent and means well, and her situation keeps you on the edge of your seat. Parker's demon abilities were hilarious, I loved the side information about his daily quotas. Migs and Bar were great as humans learning about the supernatural world. They all work together as a great unit for Ruby and I'd love to see more of these characters.
I loved this book so much!!! It made me laugh so hard so many times! It's kinda funny how Ruby is an angel who doesn't really get humans or the English language and, yet, she's still completely relatable. The guys were also really sweet and I really enjoyed their bromance.
Aww! FMC Ruby is a sweet, fumbling and rather clueless angel stuck in the human world trying to create a miracle. Can she work it out or will she fail... again?! Something entirely unexpected happens when her BFF Amethyst gives her a gift - a key to the rest of her life!
Funny book with angels, demons, teenagers and cosplay dudes. This book is short so don’t expect it to go into too much characters development. I think this book could have been great as a more longer novel. It has that potential. But I still give it a five stars because you feel for the characters.
Such a sweet, heart warming and wonderful story! I've met Ruby in the other books and thought all of the authors worked together so well to make her character so fun and consistent through each cameo in the other books of the series. I am hoping that the author is looking at a follow-up book, as I'd love to see where Ruby and her guys are going from here.
I loved this, it was so funny and sweet. I loved Ruby the clumsy angel who really didnt understand humans or the English lanuage which made for some really funny moments. The plot line was good, and i warmed to all the characters (except John, Ruby's brother!)Really loving this series! Also I will never buy cottage cheese again!
I love Ruby and her trying to figure out the complexities of the English Language and how to deal with humans. It's a kick to find out who her mentor is and why. As for her harem they seem to be a perfect group, hot nerdy guys. Lots of fun, laughter, steaminess and tears as Ruby completes her miracle. PSL works its magic again.
This book had slot of sweet funny moments. It was steamy enough at the end and that fit with the storyline. I loved her geeky guys. The side story of her job was sweet and a little sad but added a good element to the story. A really good addition to the Silver Springs universe. Definitely recommended.
Ruby is an angel and has a shoe store called the Perfect Fit. She's been sent to complete a miracle for a girl named Holly. There's a lot hijinks and misunderstandings. She does however meet her three soul mates thanks to a magical cup of coffee from Jewels Cafe. Overall it's a good read with some steam.
I loved Ann Denton’s Knightfall series and while this standalone is nothing compared to Bloom’s story, I completely adore Ruby. She’s just… argh! So cute. And innocent. Sure, some people might not like this childish innocent blinking eyelashes cute kind, but I love adorable characters like this. She’s not annoying and very straightforward.
Swoon! This whole book us so swoonworthy I feel like I have wings myself. I would have loved a little more steam but the romance was on point. Get caught up in Ruby and her men, you won't regret any of it!
Ruby's story is filled with love. Who wouldnt love a quirky angel? I love this series. It's funny, sexy and heart warming. I cant wait till next book is released.
I loved Ruby’s story she’s just to cute. Ruby needs to make a Christmas miracle happen to keep herself from going to he11. Can her guys help her accomplish this goal before it’s to late? To find out you gotta read the book. :) trust me you’ll love it I know I did.
So funny it was a bit slow to get into because of the geeky aspect like not just a bit of geek but a lot! But once you got past that initial bit it was like wow! Could not put down
I loved that Ruby was so innocent and had no clue about the world around her. It made the book funny and you fell in love with her. Her mates are exactly the kind of understanding you would want for an angel.
Oh my gosh, I almost have no words! If you want something sweet and funny, be ready to LOL with this newly human-angel and her teenage human charge and her witchy friends and other supes!
Ruby was so flipping sweet and naive..you just want to give her a hug!! The guys were the best..and live game at the end had me literally laughing out loud!! Totally loved it!!
I am currently devouring everything that Ann Denton has written and found this little gem. 😉 I think I am going to go back to the beginning of this series and read the rest of the books.
