Cost monitoring & reporting for Kubernetes Services
This thesis researches cost monitoring & reporting for Kubernetes services. The main objective is to create reporting and bill the clients accordingly. This thesis was commissioned by T Systems MMS, Dresden, Germany. The development team provided an idea to make reporting and monitoring processes which will be more streamlined for production purposes.
The main aim of this thesis is to develop the design and implementation of the reporting and monitoring process. This solution would analyze multi-tenant cloud usage metrics on the customer level and then use the information to bill customers accordingly. A practical approach has been followed while doing the research for this thesis.
The frequently used research method in this thesis was to “Fail fast and learn fast.” Through this sort of reasoning, inappropriate solutions are expelled rapidly, while the correct answers remain.
