Another, and hopefully the last of the Teen Titans Go! Digest sized books.

”Garsaurus Rex!” is Todd Nauck art with the Teen Titans and Teen Titans East teaming up. Garfield is turned into a giant rampaging monster and the Titans respond with a giant Robot made of the T-car and Cyborg. They eventually force Profession Chang to change him back to normal. Meh.

”The Book” is very obviously not illustrated by Todd Nauck. But it is an interesting take on the Titans. I like that the artist is giving it his own twist rather than imitating anyone.

The tale is about a scary book that Raven refuses to let Beast Boy read. Therefore, he steals it.

”What does ‘Klaatuu Barada Nikto’ mean?!

The art was the best thing about this story.

”Listen” has another artist, Khary Randolph. Robin is apparently in training with the Shaolin. They call him ‘grasshopper’. The Kung Fu TV show still has its hold on us.

That was a weird little tale of Robin maybe having a dream, having fallen asleep as Starfire was reciting the Tamaranean Warrior’s One Hundred Tenets. It was cute.

”Knockoff!” has art provided by Mike Norton and Larry Stucker.

There is a cute Battle of the Planets joke in her, but I don’t think it’s worth explaining.

Okay this is pretty silly but it does make me laugh because the “Red X Robots” are apparently being controlled by a geek a the Jump City Comicon. So they get to make fun of a lot of … well, me.

Well, biased or not that was a fun story.

”Power Failure” has Katarou fighting the Titans. He was stomping them because he was using a magic gem that had several other martial artists trapped inside.

Starfire zaps the gem which causes it to crack and all those martial artists popped out of the gem. But the gem is cracked and ready to explode. Which it does.

Which causes a power switcheroo in all the Titans. This is made visible by their costumes switching as well!

Of course, each Titan is also getting a different perspective on how the other half lives.

”Easy for you to say, Robin! You got the cool alien powers! I got the mystical ones with the creepy side effects!”

They track down Katarou who has the last shard of the gem and use to restore their powers… to something else!

It’s a funny surprise ending and a cool idea and Raven in a Robin costume is just some of the great artwork!

”Secret Santa” starts with Billy Numerous (a duplicating villain) fighting the Teen Titans and Santa Clause and Elves (possibly robots, or puppets, or store employees). It’s a brief Christmas fight followed by a gift exchange at Titans Tower.

”Did Raven just use the word ‘Love’?”

”You’re welcome… to keep that hug to yourself.”

That was actually a cute story, and I’m not an easy sell for Christmas schlock.

All told this was one of the better of these 5 digest size Teen Titans Go! That aren’t’ actually Teen Titans Go!

I’m giving this book 4 stars and keeping it.

Beast Boy reading THE BOOK was my favorite. And the end of the Christmas story reminds me with (Once Upon A Christmas) from Disney where Mickey and Minnie sold their most treasured possession so they can gift each other what they needed.

I didn't like the art or story of issue 22, but the rest were fantastic!
