I found this to be a good book to fill in my gaps in knowledge about pragmatics. Underatanding that I already have a background in linguistics.

I taught this book & I find that it explains some concepts that I already know & understand in a complex matter. Also, it lacks exercises that simplify the ideas to the beginner students.

I liked the writer’s choice of expressions and phrases, and his sense of humour.
Nice examples provided, not too complicated.
