A single night with Meg and I’m willing to do anything to save her from Hades, the man holding her captive, victim to his every whim.

A bargain with the devil himself seems a small price to pay in order for Meg to go free… Until I learn that she’s exactly where she wants to be.

She’s Queen to Hades’s King.

And I’m the fool that walked right into their trap.

The same fool who desires them both as much as I hate them. I can’t resist Meg’s touch—or stop from being drawn to Hades’s dark desires. By the time I realize just how deep a game he’s playing, it may be too late…

Oh my motherfucking God on a stick with bells on.

Don’t get me wrong, I appreciated the first book in this series (Desperate Measures -- Jafar/Jasmine) but this was just EVERYTHING. So everything I’m having a difficult time knowing how to write about it.

Just … I didn’t know I needed a kinky queer polyamorous erotic romance starring a dom Hades, a switchy Meg and an adorably submissive Hercules. But it turns out I super did.
And I feel genuinely enriched by the experience.

(Also you can see it, can’t you see it? It makes PERFECT SENSE. I mean, of course Hercules is an emotionally open-hearted sub, Meg is a complicated, damaged switch and Hades is … someone whose place I desperately wished to occupy in this piece of fiction?)

It’s really hard to describe what they books accomplish because they’re about 30% deft character work, 40% extravagant fucking, 20% melty feels and 10% of whatever else is needed to a glue book together. Plot? World-building? Who the hell cares? I know it sounds a slightly weird thing to say about what is essentially pornography Disney fanfic but there’s something just so very *clear-sighted* about these books.

Perfect, gleeful, guilt-free fantasy that cares as much about its characters being happy, fulfilled and empowered than it does about getting them off. It’s just, like, fucking beautiful man.

Anyway, Meg and Hades are lovers, companions, sub and dom, and their relationship is fraying at the edges because they’re both too damaged to know to fix it. Enter beautiful, shiny HEY LET’S TALK ABOUT OUR FEELINGS WHILE I GO DOWN ON YOU Hercules. Seriously, the man is legit heroic in ways that are just not discussed, celebrated and or present enough in romance novels. Or life. Give me, like, six of the guy? On toast. With tea. Meg is, also, just amazing. Complicated and damaged, and—in the end—very, very loved for being both.

For me, Hades is kind of the weakest link here by just being A Cold Mysterious Dom With A Tragic Past and while he’s a well-done example of that archetype it’s just not an archetype I connect with. (Your mileage may, however, vary). I guess I wish there’d been just the tiniest opportunity for him to show a touch more vulnerability—though his devotion to Meg is swoony AF. Also, again, for me, his tragic backstory was a faintly jarring note in a book that was otherwise emotionally pitch perfect: I think it was meant to partially explain his secretiveness and to motivate some of his actions, but I just find … without wanting to spoiler … that particular plot element overused and a bit crass.

But anyway. Minor grumblings.

This book is now my favourite … something? And did I say how queer it is? It is the queerest. It is glorious. And I loved how much of that queerness was very much taken for granted: for Hercules submission is a new journey but queer sexing is treated very much as part of sexing rather than its own special category. Which is exactly what I love.

And I also sincerely appreciated the way that it wasn't 100% easy 100% of the time for Hades and Meg to move from a two to a three. There's insecurity, there's jealousy. Which felt very real and necessary to me. And made their ultimate acceptance of each other all the more satisfying.

Smut with no plot but the smut wasn't even good. This book made Hades not hot, which I would classify as a crime but also as an accomplishment because wow, didn't think you could do that-

This was so fun! I loved how Katee Robert really captured the personalities of Meg, Hercules, and Hades in this polyamorous relationship. From the beginning, I loved the dynamic between the three and it grew much more complex as the book went on. A great addition to the Wicked Villains series!

Read as part of Long Live The King Anthology.

If you read the first book in the Wicked Villains series then you know what to expect from this one - dirty, filthy, sexy, kinky, smutty goodness. I'm not gonna say that this book is an emotional story about the power of love because it is not. But considering that this is more erotica than romance, I have to say there's a lot of talk about feelings and I was wholly convinced that this trio loves each other equally.

“You’re mine, love. And I’m yours.” He turns those dark eyes my way and Meg follows the movement. “And little Hercules is ours.”
“Not so little,” she murmurs with the beginnings of a wicked smile.
Hades chuckles. “Not so little,” he agrees.

I'm not gonna waste time on the plot because there wasn't that much of it to be worth talking about, so I'll just let you sit back and enjoy these quotes and gifs (that I spend way too much time searching for because let me tell you that menage gifs are really hard to find especially if you want the right hair color and stuff. These are the closest I could find to match Haded & Meg & Hercules).

“Meg,” Hades murmurs. “You’re mine, are you not?”
It takes me a few seconds to form my reply. “Yes, of course.”
“Do you trust me?”
“Most of the time.”
The amusement dissipates from his voice. “Do you trust me?”
I lick my lips. “Yes, Sir.”

“Do you want this?”
As much as part of me wants to hold back, I can’t quite manage it. “Yes. Too much.”
“No such thing as too much.” Hercules strokes my clit again, his eyes on my face. “Not with us.”

“I own you, little Hercules. Say it.”
His blue eyes are glazed as he licks his lips. “You… You own me.”
“Now be a good boy and come for your master.”

Her mouth quirks and a thread of amusement lights up her eyes. “Hades, you’re being mean.”
“Am I?”
“Yes.” She pushes a finger against my chest, urging me back a step. “I like it.”

And don't forget about the bonus content - two chapters of pure naughty hotness. Yes, it's that highly anticipated public scene 😏

Whew child this book is NASTY but in a good way. I’ve been meaning to finish up the Wicked Villains series for a while but I haven’t had the chance to dive back in. This particular installment focuses on Hercules, Meg, and Hades. Hercules and Meg set up Hercules for a sort of revenge plot, but things take a slight turn when Hercules is down for the shenanigans. This book was sexy, hot, steamy and much more than I anticipated in terms of the relationship between the three characters. The scenes were done so well; however, the plot didn’t really work for me. It felt like it was added to give the readers something else besides watching the ups and downs or the relationship between Hercules, Meg, and Hercules. I think it creates a unique and interesting connection to the Dark Olympus series but other than that I didn’t really care about the issues that Zeus has with Hades. Nevertheless, it was a solid installment in the series and I’ll continue making my way through each book.

Read my interview with Katee Robert: https://wp.me/p5bsdH-304

Genre: Erotic Romance
Type: Standalone Book 2 of Wicked Villains series
POV: First Person – Multiple
Rating:

With his life turnaround, Hercules couldn’t afford to crave for things he couldn’t have. That didn’t stop him from being drawn to the dangerously alluring but in distress Megaera. However, if he chose to walk that path, he had to deal with Hades, the untouchable lord of the Underworld whose magnetism was as deadly as his reputation.

Before I start, I have to say this. I’ve always love Greek mythology and Hercules is my favorite Disney hero. Those facts didn’t make me biased, instead, it made me more critical of the content. I’m glad to say this one passed with flying colors.

We were made for each other, two twisted trees that grew to lean on each other to the point where they won’t survive alone.

What I loved the most about this book is the dynamics between the characters. Each of them served a purpose and I enjoyed the author’s interpretation of the original story. I also appreciated how the author played with their level of vulnerabilities and confidence.

I become a rutting beast, my entire focus narrowing down to filling and being filled. I can’t stop. I can’t slow down. I can’t do anything but fuck.

MMF is my favorite kind of poly relationship. This one was scorching, combined with various positions that kept it interesting and made me a satisfied reader lol! As for the ending, I felt it was a little too abrupt and was hoping for a grander finale, but it didn’t take away my overall enjoyment of the storyline.

Learn My Lesson is a story of balancing wants and needs. It would appeal to readers looking for an adult reimagined version of fairytale innocence and Greek mythology.

I was surprised that I ended up quite liking this one although not sure how I feel about Hades. Think this series has a quite fun spin on the whole fairytale/Disney retailing and quite addicting. Not my favorite in the series though. Have one more book to go I think as I've read them out of order

After living with Hades for a decade, Meg believes she knows her dark and kinky master, but somehow they have managed to drift apart. Ever observant, Hades is aware of Meg’s discontent and decides to bridge the gap while also getting revenge against an old nemesis. But when truths are revealed, will it be enough for this new beginning?

“When this is all over, my Meg will thank me for the lengths I go through for her. If there’s another reason in the mix? Well, I am who I am.”

In this devilishly provocative narrative, the point of view shifts between three characters: Hades, Meg and Hercules, with each bringing their own personalities and idiosyncrasies to the mix. As we get the darker side of Hades, his character offers unexpected layers. Including a noble yet loyal character like Hercules strengthens the bond between Hades and Meg as well.

“I could fill those gaps for them, I could be the softness.”

What I loved about this story is that no boundaries existed when it came to their polyamorous relationship. The steam factor between all the characters, whether it’s a duo or trio at play, is combustible. For me, Hades’s intensity is palpable. Of course, Hercules’s good nature pours from the pages. And, I liked Meg’s ability to find strength even when her vulnerabilities crept in.

“I can imagine him fucking me as I fuck her, even if it’d really be Hades fucking us both.”

Learn My Lesson is a marvelously kinky story about unconventional relationships and trust. This book will appeal to those who do not want boundaries in the bedroom. I certainly look forward to more tales in this collection too.

I’m not a better man. I’m not even a good one. This woman and this man belong to me, and I’ll do whatever it takes to ensure they stay.

If you're a fan of erotic MMF menage romances with some BDSM thrown in, this hits the spot nicely. I was immediately hooked on the premise of this series and after reading Desperate Measures I couldn't wait for the big baddie, Hades, to get his HEA. This is Hades, Meg and Hercules story and it was utterly delicious!

Hades is man that enjoys a good game, but he doesn't play it, he sets the board. He's the ultimate dealmaker and knows how to manipulate the chess pieces around him to get what he desires. Meg has been by his side for years. He saved her from a terrible fate and in a deal she sold him her eternity. But after years together, the sharp edge of their connection has dulled and the unspoken words have filled the cavernous space between them. When Hades tells Meg to seduce a sexy waiter in a restaurant as part of their game, she has no idea that Hades has already set a different game in motion.

If you're looking for a hot and sexy read, this will do nicely. Where it fell short on was the plot. There's a plot there, on the edges, but the details never get fleshed out and I felt like I was missing huge chunks of the story because of it. Things were glossed over and rushed and completely overshadowed by the hot sex. Yes, yes, I get that this is an erotic romance. But with the pieces of the characters that we were given, I couldn't help but want more. This still hit the spot nicely, don't get me wrong. This series is completely addicting and I can't wait for Hook's book next.

I know it took me a super long time to read this book. But I waited because I wanted to have the entire series ready for me as I did it. This series has been beautifully written so far. The perfect amount of kink graces the pages and the suspense. I could not predict a think and boy did I love it. I have officially read this book 2x in the last 72 hours and I’ve highlighted more sexy scenes to pull you in. 😍

**Just a few things to mention**

MMF scenes
Double penetration
Dom & sub play
Older woman younger man / older man younger man
Violence
Past abuse
Deception

With all the things happening in this I promise there will be an HEA.

Well… I think this was an improvement from the first one. The storyline was a little better. (Not great, but at least I was able to follow it better.) this was definitely a prequel to the author’s Dark Olympus series.

Although, there was moments that was literally copy and paste of the first book in the series, Desperate Measures. Both Hercules and Jasmine wander in the The Underworld- they both thought it was going to look like a Victorian mansion. They are greeted by a front desk person and the both describe them as “possibly the most beautiful person they have ever met.” Then they both walk off to a see sculpture- that’s actually an orgy. The obvious repetitious writing just felt lazy.

I don’t know if this was a printing error or intentional, but there was a random paragraph break mid dialogue.

Revealing the Hades in the Dark Olympus series real name,Jonah. Was unexpected as we hardly know the Thirteen’s real names. However, I found it noteworthy. Seeing how both series tied in together- I find it really interesting and really makes the author writing a big puzzle.

Speaking of which, this Hades, is the father of the Dark Olympus’ Hades. Which was a fun tie-in, expect in, Neon Gods, The Dark Olympus’ Hades said Zeus killed his father. While the Wicked Villains Hades said Zeus killed his wife and son. I guess there is some miscommunication here, because neither one of them is dead. They just both have their own sex clubs, in separate cities. It’s going to be one hell of a reunion if they ever meet. Katee Roberts, I need a reunion. Hopefully we’ll see it in the upcoming Dark Olympus books.

But this Hades was a Dom. Older, silver fox, owner of a sex club. Possessive of both Meg and Hercules. I definitely imagined him as Mads Mikkelsen

Meg- a switch. Soft spot for both Hades and Hercules. A woman chained by Hades in a deal (like in original Disney version) she was very emotionally vulnerable.

Hercules- he was a submissive himbo. A heart of gold, and willing to protect Meg at all cost. But reading the dark Olympus series first. It’s kind of funny seeing Hercules’ wonder where he is and how is doing. When I’m reality, he is just in sex club in another city.

There was groveling and jealousy between all three of them. I think I liked each of them in own way. They all kind of be able to complete each other. All three of them of worked well like a puzzle finally linking together.

The writing style was the same as the first one. There was a lot of fractured sentences. One word lines. Setting wise? It was kind of hard imagine. Although the author does better with character descriptions.

The smut was the best part. It served it purpose in the erotica sense. Don’t expect a lot of romance from this.

I didn’t really love this one. I’m definitely reading this series really for Tink and Hook. But if you are looking for a Hades book by this author, I’d recommend Neon Gods. The writing and storyline was better.

”Pain and pleasure. Pleasure and pain. Both will kill you in the end if you’re not careful.”

Dude. I enjoyed the story of the first one, the writing style just wasn’t for me. I’m not sure if the author changed it up or if I’m just used to her writing now, but LML flowed much better for me. I actually truly loved Hades, Meg, and Hercules story. I love that it starts out as one thing and it evolves because feelings come in to play. I don’t want to say too much, but if you enjoy MMF and have always wanted to read an alt universe spin on Hercules, then one click this baby now. Katee Robert is knocking these spins on classic Disney stories out of the park so far. Can’t wait for the next book!

I will say that I am learning to really enjoy this series that Katee Robert has been writing but they are some of the HOTTEST that I have ever read from her so far. So fair warning on that one. I love seeing the unique play on the fairy tales, not really a big fan of making villains out of the hero from the stories BUT Katee Robert really shows a unique side to these villains and seeing them find their HEA. This one is a menage love story that is based on the “Hercules” tale where our characters Meg, Hades and Hercules have a fiery romance. The sex scenes were (fanning your face) hot so warning you all on that one, and it does play on the more kinky side of things. Even though I don’t read menage too often, I was really drawn into this one. All three have such unique dynamics so I really admired how Robert really blended this romance together and just unified all three so beautifully.

Boy do I wished this had an epilogue!!! This story was hot hot hot! Hades and Meg were drifting. She’s been unhappy and he’s been shutting her out, afraid to be vulnerable with her. This is where Hercules come in to be the buffer that will soften their edges out. He was only meant to be temporary. Too bad they all fell in love and wanted permanent. Also there’s that little issue where Hades enemy is Hercules’ father. But in the end it worked out? Or did it??? Hmmm. I just wish there was an epilogue or sort. I was left wanting...more.

I picked up this book because I needed a really fluffy read for my tired eyes, and because the fanfic-ish premise, based on my favourite Disney movie, sounded so fun. This novel astonished me by being so genuinely good and emotionally complicated.

First I have to lay out what its premise is -an AU multiverse Disney erotica in which characters from multiple Disney movies frequent the same BDSM sex club. If you read that description and cringe out of your skin, well, it's probably just not for you. I myself struggled a bit with random appearances by... Sexy Capitan Hook and Tinkerbell? Then sexy Jasmine and Jafar, protagonists of book 1 about the mafia or something, make an appearance? And the settings in book 2 are kind of like a sexual room of requirement, random but conveniently always available and empty of other people; and the character introductions are very outfit centric; and I found the descriptor "medium brown" to describe every POC a bit off-putting. There's not much effort put into making the world of the characters plausible, but I don't consider that hugely necessary, because none of us are going to read this for its congruence to reality. It is pretty obviously a work about erotic scenarios between established characters reimagined in another context that basically functions as a fantastical no-place for them to meet each other. There's definite Kushiels' Dart vibes in reference to Hades' "deep game;" "The man in Black" from Westworld gets a shoutout for some reason, and I don't think I will ever find it not funny that Meg's ex is named "Declan." But you know what? Those aren't really critiques because this book is set in a pop-culture melting pot, so why wouldn't he be named Declan?

But neither is this novel pure smut without purpose. Each of the erotic scenes advances both character journeys and the relationships between them. And holy shit, the emotions involved. We have an established BDSM couple who are drifting apart, and the balance of their relationship is upset by the super hot waiter the Dom sends his partner off to seduce and fuck while the pair are dining out at a restaurant. This waiter eventually joins their underground sex club Hades owns by tracking then down and pleading his way into a very binding employment deal, which grown-up fans of the original Hercules might enjoy for its congruence with the original. AU Meg and Hades have their relationship dynamic upended and reinvigorated by Herc's completely artless emotional openness. They all want each other and the negotiation of how it plays out is surprisingly realistic (if I can claim that about an AU BDSM Disney fic), tender, and compelling.

Each of them are powerful over the other members of the triangle. The dominance and submission isn't so much about raw power as the nature of desires that are intrinsic to the characters. Hercules is very much an equal in the bedroom, even as a completely inexperienced submissive paired with an experienced Dom and switch. There are plenty of power games at play, and hurt feelings, especially on Meg's part, but the arc is one of reconciliation, renewed honesty and love rediscovered.

Most of all, I appreciated how cleverly the book revisited the themes of the movie. Hercules offers himself up bodily as a sacrifice to save Meg just as in the film, but also discovers what he wants out of love in the process. The big bad villain of this book is not Hades, but Zeus - who here is taken to task for his treatment (in mythology) of Leda and other women, who uses them cruelly and casts them away, who threatens Meg's life in the last-minute plot machinations before the HEA (he's not much of a villanous presence in the rest of the book, when he really ought to be). The plot by which Hercules (not in the Disney film, but in mythology) loses his wife and family is instead given to Hades, explaining his calculated control to protect the ones he loves.

I adored the vision of the characters presented here, which to me seemed very true to the film's portrayal. And the three of them together are such a fascinating mix: Hades aloof and controlled but ultimately caring and affectionate; Meg playful and tough but emotionally fragile; Hercules cutting through the poor communication between them with his sweetness and earnestness. He is certain of his own personal worth despite his naivete and inexperience. Each of them is a prize, each of them is in a necessary balance with the others, all of them are madly in love. It can be difficult to make a reader believe in a HEA menage, but it completely won me over.

The BDSM is never truly cruel. It is emotionally gentle, the contrivances of the dominance and submission scenes enacted out of a desire to see the other person in a state of naked want that reveals a deep understanding of who they are. And I was a bit giddy over specific things that happen in the sex acts between members of the trio without being considered emasculating or humiliating. Basically, there's pegging, and it's awesome.

I don't know that I want to read a whole series of sexy AU Disney villains after this, but this book has me curious about Katee Robert's other work. Well done!

this is a series of seven books (6 actual novels plus a collection of short stories and additional scenes) and I am not even gonna tell you how fast I read all of them… spoiler alert: incredibly fast ;) but who would know how much I needed in my life a dark, contemporary, erotica retellings of Disney villains getting their happy endings with lots of BDSM on the way… ;) not me, that’s for sure… honestly, I am shocked by how addictive this series is… and I am totally blaming it on the amazing writing style of Katee Robert :) I’m just gonna write one review for the whole series, cause in each one I would just repeat myself :) so here goes :) first of all, these books are hot as fuck… they are very well written, but make no mistakes, there is just enough plot to move things along and the majority of each story focuses on the (very sexy) romances… not only we have all sorts of sexual preferences and kinks included, I loved how it was just… there… no judgement whatsoever… consent is the one rule everyone abided by and when it comes to everything else, just do whatever works for you :) we also have a lot of different… let’s call them relationship dynamics, shall we? :) we have an FF couple and polyamorous relationships (both MMF and FFM) and it’s glorious :) my personal favourite is the third one (A worthy opponent) with the sixth one (Queen takes rose) a close second :) there are also gonna be (at least as off right now) two spin-off series, and you can bet your ass I already bought / pre-ordered all of those books :) if you want to find an amazingly well written escape from reality that will make you melt all over, look no further and pick this series up :)

XOXO

The spice hit the nail on the head and did its job but the characters were horrible. The story didn't really have a solid plot to hold up the spice level. I had to DNF at 67% because it couldn't take it anymore.

I wanted a little bit more out of it.

Don't get me wrong, Katee Robert can write sexy scenes like no other, but I wish it had had a bit more plot and character development. My favorite part of the book was seeing Meg, Hades, and Hercules grow as characters and evolve into this triad, and what we got in the book wasn't enough to satisfy me.

I'm still curious enough to want to continue the series, especially knowing who the next book is about!
