reread time because s2 of the anime comes out soon and its been exactly (literally june 2020) 4 years since i last read s2 of the webtoon🥹

WHAT THE HELL THAT ENDING?!?!?!? I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THAT .😭 Also--DIE RACHEL.👿 HOW DARE SHE DO THAT TO AND THEN SHE EXPECTS BAM TO FORGIVE HER. HAHAHA JOKES ON YOU.
I never thought the day would come when I'd find my hatred for a character to be beyond what I imagined possible.
Rachel can go to hell🙂🔪🔪🔪 trust me when i say you probably haven't found someone as detestable as this monster. Just look at her omg I hate her so much. Death is too kind for her, she needs to suffer for eternity. Anyways, Rachel doesn't deserve for this whole review to be about her, so I'm gonna stop.
This season was awesome. Like it's so much better than Season 1! I suggest to anyone who quit reading ToG S1, to go back and read it just to get to Season 2. The author is actually a legend. His art style has improved so much--it leaves me in awe. Talk about the development in his art. THE DETAILS😭
Bam: Khun: Yuri: Endorsi: Hansung Yu:
And the character development for Bam ohmygod it's spectacular. After what happened to I really can't wait to see how much he's changed in the next season. Already S1 Bam and S2 Bam—they are totally different and I love it. SIU is amazing!!! I already know no other webtoon/comic will ever beat Tower of God for me.
Some other fav scenes from this season:
And UREK MAZINO🥺
Really can't wait to start Season 3, although I'm gonna catch up to where the webtoon is at and that's when I'll have to wait every week for the new episode... *sobbing*
Maybe I should take my time getting there. ahaha impossible💀

O conceito é brilhante, e estou genuinamente a divertir-me imenso a ler isto.

EN This series is not only meeting my expectations — it's exceeding them.
The participants climbing the Tower must face a series of complex challenges. What makes it so engaging is how each trial encourages the reader to think about the best possible strategies to overcome them.
Between these moments of tension, we get to know the characters more deeply, with plenty of interesting and dynamic interactions along the way.
The concept is brilliant, and I'm genuinely having a great time reading it.
Don't forget to rate series 10! And always click the heart button at the end of each chapter to show your love and support. <3
Visit Tower of God wiki to read about the gossips and so much more about Tower of God that SIU only mentioned in his blog: https://towerofgod.wikia.com/wiki
I liked the first season more than this one, I really can't stand Rachel and not out of hate but because she's so boring. I've read 320 chapters and I hope that at this point everything with her will be resolved and she will disappear from the plot.
This creeps up to a 4. I still have no idea about the tower or the world outside of it, other than people take these tests to get to the top and some people live, apparently?, in the tower. But our boy is from outside the tower… another world? Who knows. All we do know is he’s looking for a girl who went into the tower for whatever reason. He got a cool sword from someone. There’s daughters of jahad, possibly the former emperor of the tower… and one of them lent him said sword.
Everything else has just been tests. Buuut it’s now tapped into its inner Naruto. The fights are way cooler in these “tests”. Each person does feel like Naruto. They’ve got like a speciality and a Thing they do, and they just be fighting it out. What do you even get at the top of the tower? Not too sure. But I like the fights enough to round up to a 4. The artwork reminds me of Fiona Staples’ Saga. When the artist takes their time, it’s really fantastic. When it’s rushed, it certainly looked sketchy. More on than off, though, thankfully.
this is a masterpiece thank God i found this, this book series is full of excitements, worries, heart breaking. unforgettable characters. well Drawing pages.fully detailed storytelling and there's one thing i hate abouton going comics. and they all have this shit in common, forcing you into a Slavery Mode. i hate that, just checking the calendar everyday, it's a annoying.
I think I’ve definitely found a series that literally gives tension and thrills on nearly every page. I mean the unique games on top of it just make for a thrilling if a bit confusing journey for the eyes. The crown game on top of it might be the coolest test so far, you gotta love a game with such specific squid gameesque rules and then throwing in bad*ss chosen “soldiers” on top of it, sign me up to read every day of the week
When I started reading this book, it had already onto its 3rd season. I finished the 1st and 2nd season in 2 days. Once you start reading, you just can't stop. The story is so engaging, eventho it uses a very common and tacky topics as the based of its story.
A creative YA adventure story with a lot of potential, but has pacing issues.
We're following Bam as he travels up levels of a mysterious tower, needing to pass various dangerous puzzles and quests to ascend. The beginning of this story starts strong with Bam and his motley crew of teammates challenged to open one of 10 doors, opening the incorrect door will equal death. We're able to see how various teams pass the test and move on to the next challenge, which is a game of capture the 'crown'. However, the pacing falls apart here for me as we spend the rest of the book watching various characters trying to fight and strategize over the crown. Here character development was sacrificed for action sequences.
This book is best read while wearing a crown with a dagger hidden in your socks.
Thank you to NetGalley and Webtoon for this advanced reader copy.
This is the best comic book I ever read in my whole life. It is so awesome and emotional sometimes. SIU is the best author ever. I can't believe how he can draw such an awesome fantastic book. Bam who is also known as Jue Viole Grace, is such a naive and adorkable boy. I'm srlly not sure how SIU can think of these kind of stuff. You guys have to read it. Also, please please please please please like his stories. In webtoons, people rarely like his comics, whereas there are billions of views. At the beginning of the comics, it might not be so interesting, (well, I found everything interesting) LOL. You can check out this book on webtoons. It is originated from South Korea. Please read it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This volume captured my interest better than the first. The door level game was fun, not because it was clever or challenging, but it gave the story a chance to show character interactions and personality. The same test tackled in different ways by each character.
I still think Bam is masquerading as a beanbag with a smiley face rather than our main character. Polite and gentle characters can work if you make them dynamic. Bam is just a catalyst for the story at this point.
BUT I will acknowledge these are the introductory chapters. How Webtoon decided to break up the chapters in book form may be affecting the reading experience (good or bad).
THIS LONGASS SEASON WAS A BLESSING TO MY SOUL. truly, SIU has outdone himself here. i can't even express how hyped i was for every story arc. the characters just keep on improving (except rachel she's only getting worse im sorry), the art and the storytelling improved so much too. all the reunions, the action, the plot twists....AAAHH SO MANY THINGS HAPPENED and all i can do is clap because oh my gods this is a masterpiece. i didn't expect i would love tower of god this much but look at where i am now. im a complete trash for this webcomic.
A continuation of the first book, but unfortunately not as good as its predecessor. My main problem with this sequel was that it was way to long and introduced to many extra characters. There is some character development here, but it takes forever to get to it. The world building is still amazing, but seems a tad duller than the first volume. I was also impressed that SIU was willing to kill some characters. Of course our mainstays have their obligatory plot armor.
This book is much longer and has better art than the first one. It rudely starts off with a bunch of new characters, but I learned to like most of them as much as the original characters. I'm looking forward to when the anime catches up in maybe 8 years so I have people to talk to about the story.
This picks up right where volume one left off. The teams are have more task they need to get through to be able to climb the tower and reach their goal.
This volume was a lot slower paced than the last one. We see one quick tasks and then a game for in between tasks. The game is where the most action occurs and we really get to see more from the side characters. The game really pulled me back into the story! It was fun and exciting and gave a little more details about the world.
With it being slower, I did struggle a little bit with this volume. I think it’s fascinating and there are a lot of layers to it that we don’t even have all the pieces too yet. I’m highly interested in continuing this to see what all happens as it’s such an interesting story.
NO TBR PROMPT: BUDDY READ WITH MY SISTER This just keeps getting better lol. I absolutely love these "games" they play. The characters are crazier and deadlier. My sister and I are trying to watch the anime but we realized the first 2 episodes were only volume 1. So now we have to catch up on the volumes before we continue watching lol. I can't wait for the next ones!!
I binged Tower of God over quarantine and it's become my favorite Webtoon. There are so many things going on and so many mysteries to solve that it's difficult to feel bored with this series. The art is a bit choppy in the first season but it gets so much better, trust me.
