Passing the Torch by Winter Travers was the first book in the Devil’s Knights MC Second Generation. It was the legacy spinoff from the original Devil’s Knights MC series.

Hero was the son to Rigid and Cyn, (book two original series, Finding Cyn.) Hero was now a fully patched member in his early twenties and had his sights on taking over as the MC President one day. He was single and enjoying life, loyal to his family and the MC.

Reba was the owner of the “Hair of the Dog” grooming services, which was located across from the Devil’s Knights MC clubhouse. One of her “groomees” escaped and wandered over onto the MC property where Reva met Hero and the story began.

Travers had several plots running simultaneously. Obviously the relationship development between Hero and Reva was the main focus, but Travers also expanded the plot to include Hero’s pursuit of the MC, Reva’s work and home interactions and a serial killer on the loose. Some of the plots were concluded while others will carry over into the series.

All in all, it was a good start to the series with Travers introducing all of the offspring, their personalities and a glimpse at what we can expect with the series. Next up is Frost and Indiana in Riding the Line.

I’ve been having a hard time reading since surgery and still being in rehab. This book omg it did it for me. I feel normal again. 🤣 I loved Reva and Hero(Micha). He was so sweet and swoonie. He made me want to melt. And Reva she’s badass she is going to be a top Heroine for me from Miss Travers. Then you put these two together and hello hotness. I was like melting like butter. I loved them. I hate we didn’t get to see Cyn and Meg or any of the other ol ladies from the parents. But I know we will. I think we need an extended epilogue from these two. I want so much more. Then that ending teasing us with a new book. BLAH I want it now! I feel like that girl from Charlie and the chocolate factory that turns blue! 🤣🤣🤣 okay imma shut up now. If you’ve read the originals get this today. If not the originals are on kindle unlimited and you won’t regret it!

AAH the second generation has started... I loved the Devils Knights and I can't wait to read the 2nd generation books. This one started off easy and fast paced. But definitely a good addition to the long time series. So first up is Hero the son of Rigid and Cyn.

Hero met Reva when one of her dogs trespassed on their club property. And sort of to say that his interest was piqued. But will he have time for a relationship with a funny, quirky and sexy dog groomer when his parents and King are away on vacation and he is left in charge of the club and some of their waitresses are ending up dead!! Plus this is the time to show the original members that he is man enough to deal with the club.
Reva owns the dog groomers across the street from the club house and has not had any dealings with the Devils Knights, so she's a bit surprised that Hero is showing an interest in her, but she's just going to roll with it.

The interaction between Hero and Reva are freaking hilarious at times. Which just shows you that she is going to fit in perfectly with the other ol ladies as she is funny, quirky has no filter and just goes with the flow. I loved the suspense in this book and its definitely going to heat up some more as there is murderer still on the loose and the Devils Knights will do anything to keep their club and their women safe ❤ 😊

We really enjoyed this story the characters were all simply amazing! I loved Reva and Hero's story it was super sweet. I loved Reva she was a lot of fun and had this easy going personality so much so those who just met her could not help but love her. Not only that, but I loved how easily she merged with the other women of the club they instantly took a liking to her and took her under their wings. Getting pissed drunk might have helped! lol

We loved Hero from the onset of meeting him the sexy biker is all alpha but, has a super sweet side to him that we just loved and what we loved even more is that he kinda had this dog whisper thing going on that made him even more attractive. Talk about taking what you want and locking a woman down and making her yours because Hero's pace was fast-forward.lol

Luna that women was all fire and a force to be reckoned with and that mouth of her was something else. That woman was pure enjoyment!

Overall this was a great start to a brand-new series and introducing the next generation yet, still getting to see so many of our other favorite characters. Those old ladies of the club are still the bomb! We have been in a bit of a book funk of late, so we were really glad that this story made us smile and had us grinning ear to ear. Reva and her profession and her revolving door of dogs was just the thing to melt the heart of a hot alpha biker and make him fall in love...

The 2nd generation of the Devils Knights are here!
Passing the Torch features Hero (Micah) who is Rigid and Cyn’s son.
The OG’s have decided that now that the kids are all adults they can all go on an extended vacation. Hero thinks he is ready for the gavel ( temporarily) but things are about to spin out of control. Including meeting the quirky and cute dog groomer whose shop is across from the clubhouse.
I loved Hero and Reva’s energy together. I cannot wait to read about the rest of the next generation. The book does end in a cliffhanger but I know the next book will be out soon.

Hero believes that he is ready to assume the role of President of the Devils Knight from his father and he is determined to prove his worth while his parents are out of town. However, between a string of deaths at one of their clubs and the sexy dog trainer that he can’t stop thinking about things are bout to get complicated.

Reva is a neighbor of the club so when of the dogs she is grooming decides to explore the club she is hot on its trail, but she didn’t expect that it would lead her to Hero’s door. They have an immediate connection and chemistry and her habit of speaking first and thinking later only makes her that much more fun.

Hero and Reva share an intense chemistry, their interactions are humorous, the intrigue draws you in and catching up with the other characters we know and love only makes it that much better. I am looking forward to more stories centered around the second generation.

Everyone Wants a Hero!!

Hero was the second generation of the Devil’s Knights MC just waiting for a chance to prove that he is more than capable of holding the gavel. What better time to test this out then when the elder MC men were taking their wives to Arizona for a little trip. (Their method of transportation was hilarious!!) As soon as they left Hero was met with a daunting task of finding out who was killing the club’s girls at their local strip club. Now was the time for the second generation of the Devil’s Knights to prove themselves and find out who was brutally killing the girls.

Now for the softer side of this book; Reva/Sunshine was the dog groomer who had a shop across the street from the club. All it took was one dog escaping and finding its way in the club compound. Reva thought that she could just sneak over there, retrieve the dog and be out before anyone noticed her trespassing. It all sounded good until Hero caught her and helped her get the big dog back over to her shop. The interaction between these two were sweet and at sometimes hilarious. And also very steamy!! It also got serious when someone was stalking Reva and Hero was worried about her safety. This was another nail biting item in this book.

This book gave me the harder edge with the murdered women and the not knowing who is out there harming the club girls and dealing with Reva’s stalker. It also gave a softer side by the funny dialogue that went on with Reva. It did leave me patiently waiting to see what comes next in the Next Generation of the Devil’s Knights MC series!!

Passing the Torch is the first book in the 2nd generation of the Devil’s Knights MC. Hero and Reva’s story is witty, steamy and action packed. Their story is filled with drama but like the originals it is a little quirky and entertaining. Reva will steal your heart and Hero will make you swoon. It’s like catching up with old friends and wondering why it has been so long between drinks. A great introduction to the next generation that will have you craving all things new and old with the Devil’s Knights MC.

Passing the Torch is the beginning of the next generation of MC's stepping up to get their feet wet and be in charge! Hero is ready to be the big man on campus in the clubhouse and when the family takes a well deserved trip it is his time to shine!
Reva is a sweet, caring small business owner that just so happens to be located right across the street form the biker clubhouse . When one of her clients escapes her grooming chair she finds herself in the back yard of the clubhouse with a handsome man helping her locate her furry little customer.
This couple is unexpected they are different but once they get to know one another realize ow much they have in common. Reva is honest, quirky and has the girl next door look going on for her. She cannot imagine that this rugged young handsome biker guy is in to her but you and Hero are quite surprised that they are !!! It was also wonderful to once again read all of our favorite characters that surround this couple in their getting to know each other journey!!

I liked this one. I was really excited to read about the devil's knights kids and I was not disapointed. Hero is the son of Syn and Rigid and is personality is so much calmer than his parents. He wants to be president so bad and he deserves it. Trying to take care of the club, his big family, is not easy but it's what he wants. Reva was just living quietly until Hero came into her life. He made an 180 in her life and that was a very good thing. They shouldn't work seeing as they have nothing in common, but somehow they do and I love that. Love their relationship and whole the mystery with the killings, can't wait to find out more

Hero (Micah) and Reva were great together. Hero temporarily has the gavel as president while his Dad is on vacation. He thinks he's ready but things are about to go crazy. He meets Reva, the dog groomer next door and life get really intense for both of them. I loved their banter and how they were so cute together.

I felt like I just read half of a book. The relationship started off nice and easy, but I felt like it never really progressed?? This book was definitely more tell than show. AND... they never said I love you to each other?? Just wham bam thank you ma’m, brief interlude with h being attacked, and then a very very short ending that was meeting the H’s dad. LIKE WHAT? No thanks, pass.

OMG!!! The second generation!! I absolutely love authors when they write stories/series about the kids of the original members! I love how we see the original members that we know and love, in combination with their children. Hero is chomping at the bit to take up the gavel as the next president of the Devil’s Knights. He stumbles almost literally over the awkward and endearing Reva the dog groomer. She is flighty and completely unfiltered and so out of her element when it comes to the MC life but shows her how they all have her back when it comes to sticky situations. Will hero be able to convince his father in the club he is ready to take over? Will he be able to convince Reva the MC life is for her? I can’t wait for the next installment of this series!

Fun and sexy

Like the way this is written. There is good character definition, humor, romance, suspicion and sex. This what I look for in a mc series. Think most everyone would enjoy. Looking forward to next one in series.

Passing the Torch is the first book in the Devils Knights second generation. Whilst you can easily read this title as a standalone without reading the first generation, I loved the first series which is full of fun, quirky and intriguing characters. This title features Hero aka Micah, the son of Cyn and Rigid who are featured in Finding Cyn.

Hero is temporarily put in charge of the Devils Knights MC when the older generation go on a road trip. He’s a sexy, determined alpha, who’s not afraid to go after what he wants.

Reva is a comparable character to Meg and Cyn. She’s quirky, awkward and fun. She has a tendency to babble exactly what’s on her mind at the most inopportune time.

I loved their fun and flirty interactions and quite often found myself laughing out loud at Reva’s inability to censor her words.

Whilst some elements of the storyline were quite predictable, this title does finish in a cliffhanger that has left me guessing and I’m eager for the next installment of the Devils Knights second generation.

So it feels like a really long time since I've read a book from Mrs. Travers. I loved the original Devil's Knights series and never missed reading the books when they came out. So to see that she was coming out with the kids books made me giddy and I couldn't wait to read them. Though I do have to say I'm always weary when I go into the kids books, because they are either a hit or a miss with me.

So I'm gonna start with Hero (aka Micah), if you don't know who his is, he is Cyn and Rigid's son. I have to say that I mean I liked him. At times he seemed over-sure and overconfident, maybe even a bit co(ky. But he was still likeable at least. I will say this his relationship with his parents and even the club at times seemed weird to me. Part of the book he refered to his parents as Mom and Dad, than the other part he refered to his father as Rigid. I don't know it was just weird to me.

Reva, she was ok, she was a likeable character. She was just a kinda of go with the flow character. She didn't seem to question anything. And she didn't seem to have any opinions on the club.

It's now the second generations turn to take the gavel and take over the club. The kids seem ready but the adults don't seem so ready to give over control just yet. In this book we get Hero {Rigid and Cyn's son} ready to take the torch from King and become president. The parents of the kids are ready to head out on vacation.

I have to say overall I did enjoy this book. There was a little bit of drama thrown in, I mean come on ya got to throw some excitment in somewhere. I do have to say though as mentioned at the beginning of this review, the kids books are either hits or misses with me. I won't say it was a Hit with me or a Miss with me, I was more in between with this one. Although I really enjoyed it, I didn't love it and I really wanted to love it.

But there was just something missing from this story for me. Maybe it was the overall vibe of it, it seemed to be missing the family togetherness feeling. Although all these kids grew up together, I felt NO real connection between them. Also as mentioned above Hero's relationship with his parents and even like with King {Lo} seemed weird to me. Also I mean I know the parents were going on vacation but we only got to see Cyn once and Rigid a couple of times. Yeah it was just missing that real family aspect to it for me. Other than that I really enjoyed it.

I'm giving this book 3.5 Stars out of 5 and can't wait for the next one!!!!

**I received an ARC of this book for my honest opinion**

Yay, Winter Travers is giving us a next gen series from the amazing Devil's Knights MC series and first up is Rigid and Cyn's son "Hero". He met Reva in quite an odd way after one of the dogs she was attending to at her dog grooming parlour escaped and found her way to the clubhouse. Hero found the pair on the property and both women; human and canine, were smitten with the handsome biker that made dogs gravitate to him and Reva apparently into an unfiltered idiot with the things she blurted out in his presence, lol.

When Lo "King" and the rest of the older generation of brothers went on vacation and left the club in Hero's hands he was expecting it to be a simple case of day to day running of the usual. What he didn't expect was the mayhem that started up pretty much straight away with the dead bodies of people associated with the club showing up and the adorably cute Reva arriving in his life. With all this going on pretty much as soon as he left will King ever trust Hero enough to pass him the gavel?

This was really good. We saw the originals briefly while getting what felt like a brand new series to enjoy. We also got some mystery while we watched/read the guys try to figure out who the murderer is and what's up with Reva's weirdo neighbour, Harry. A perfect mix of drama, humour, action and of course the falling in love bit and I give Passing the Torch 5 stars and that ending has me eager for the next one.

Just going to put this out there, this is a second gen story; so if you haven't read about the parents in the original Devil's Knights, you might want to check them out first. Hero, Rigid and Cyn's son, is going to get a chance at the gavel. Sure this is a trial run thing, but he knows that its only a matter of time before he becomes President. When Reva catches his eye, Hero knows that she is it for him. What happens when his trial run at being President starts to get a bit harder... like dead body harder? Will Hero prove that he has what it takes to be the President of the Devil's Knights?

Wow, what a second gen story!!!! Hero and Reva's story has so much going for it; action, funny bits, some hot naughty moments and throw in a dash of violence. This was fantastic! I give this 5 stars and soo excited to see where this second gen series goes.

Great MC read. The author has given us a great start to a 2nd generation MC series. This is Hero and Reva’s story. Hero is Rigid and Cyn’s son and has been hoping to take over the club when King steps down. Reva is the dog groomer who’s shop is located across the street from the Devil Knights Clubhouse. She meets Hero when one of her dogs gets loose and runs inside the clubhouse fence. Watching Reva turn into a babbling idiot in front of the sexy biker was absolutely a Hoot and a half. Somehow when he’s around she loses her filter and the crazy just comes out. Hero loves this about her and I have to admit I laughed and smiled a lot throughout most of the book.

When the older brothers, who still run the Devil’s Knights, decide to go on a long vacation, they leave the 2nd generation in charge. Kind of like a trial run. While the younger set have been MC brothers awhile, they will soon learn stepping up to make decisions in the clubs best interest isn’t quite as easy as it looks. Especially when things start to take a dangerous turn of events. The storyline is funny, sexy and suspenseful all rolled up into one.

Kudos Ms. Travers for a great start to the 2nd Generation series. This reader Highly Recommends grabbing up book 1 in this series and I can’t wait to find out what happens next (FYI: Passing the Torch ends with an OMG moment that gives us a hint into the next book).

2 Thumbs Up and 5 Stars.

OH MY HERO

This book wasn't what I was expecting but I loved it. This story is more YA. You can definitely tell the difference in the characters age group in the 2nd generation than the original Devil's Knights. Hero is Rigid and Cyn's son and he aspires to be the next President of the Devil's Knights MC. The first time he meets Reeve it's under some funny circumstances. Regardless is a pet groomer who's business is across from the DKMC and though she's seen some of the club members coming and going she's never paid much attention to them. Regardless is quiet and keeps to herself in all aspects of her life, she has no real friends or anyone in her life that she's even close to except her mother and father and some of her clients. The owners not the pets. Lol. Though she does tend to talk to them. Now not only are the dogs attracted to Hero but so is Reva. Barbara's attraction to him was funny and so cute. There is a killer in the town and it directly affects the club. Rafe's neighbor is kinda freaky, the kind of guy that makes the hair on your arms stand up. The relationship that grows between Hero and Reva was sweet and fun. Drunk Reva was hilarious. These two are smokin hot together but again the sex scenes are on the tame side. The cliffhanger ending definitely leaves you wanting more. The mystery and suspense in this book with the cliffhanger ending will have me reading the next book, just to find out the answers to my questions. If you like your books on the sweet tamer side then I recommend this book to you.

The couple: Hero and Reva

Romance trope: MC
Series: Devil's Knights 2nd Generation
Length: 319 pages

Plot: Hero meets Reva one morning when she's chasing a dog who ran into the backyard of the MC across the street from her dog grooming business. From there, they develop a relationship, even though Reva isn't convinced that she fits into his world. But when she needs him, he is definitely there.

Commentary: I always think that the first book in a second-gen series is tricky. You're trying to connect with readers who are probably very connected to the previous series and those characters, so you need to reference the parents from the first series. But explaining all the relationships and having those characters interact with the new generation along with the inevitable reminiscing takes up a lot of space. So the first book ends up being a bridge book and the couple gets a little short shrift. I think it was, for the most part, well done here. However, I didn't read the first series and so there were times when I didn't necessarily feel lost, just bored. It was just shenanigans and in-jokes with a group of people that I didn't know. However, I can see potential as the series go on - as long as it doesn't become a caricature (with those really strong personalities that subsist on one or two character traits).

Grammar/formatting: really really needed another pass with the proofreader - her dad, Brian, was written as "Brain" at least twice. There were missing or incorrect words.

Next book in the series: Riding the Line

Micah, aka Hero, is Rigid & Cyn's son, and since the kids are old enough to hold down the fort, the OG's decide they can go on an extended vacation. Hero is the interim President, and while he thought it wouldn't be too hard, all kinds of hell broke out. The beginning of this story sees Reva skulking on their private property, and he catches her at it which was pretty funny. However, there wasn't anything nefarious about it, just one of Reva's charges, Barbara went rogue & took off the Devil's Knights property. See, she's a dog groomer so she loves her dogs, but meeting Hero was the best thing to happen to her. He decides she will be his, however it takes her a bit more time to come around his lifestyle though they have insane chemistry. There is a ton of hilarious interactions from Reva & the secondaries during this journey, but there's also someone killing the girls from the Devil's Knights strip club, so there are some big twists as well. In order to see how it all plays out, you'll have to hit those one click buttons immediately! As for me, the tease into the next book has me crazy, but I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

It looks like the second generation may be a little wiser with the ladies than their dads were. That’s probably because of their mothers. Lol!

Hero is ready for the torch to be passed down to him. He wants the chance to prove he can lead the MC. Little does he know that he really will experience trial by fire when it’s time for him to step up. And while all the drama unfolds he is doing all he can to get Reva to trust that he is the man for her.

Reva has no idea how Hero does it. Not only do the ladies love him but all her dogs do as well. In her mind he is a walking dog treat and it’s a treat she is actually interested in trying. Hero steps up his game starting on day one and there is no fighting it. Who can turn down a Greek god that loves animals?

Obviously there is suspense and it’s one that doesn’t get resolved in this book so I’m sure we will see it unfold in the next. Now just to find out which 2nd generation kid is next to fall in love!
