Part treatise, autobiography, confessional and spiritual pilgrimage. An extremely knowledgable, well-studied and informative guide following one man's quest to find enlightenment. It's also a cracking tale. Shamanic and psychedelic, brave and reckless, I read much of it twice and will likely read it again. There's a lot to take in but you can take what you want from it, whether it be religion, paths to divine ecstasy, technique or even history. It's a manual and an adventure story. In-depth and informative, unafraid, open and unashamed.
It's mind boggling and audacious. Follow the teachings or just immerse yourself in this extraordinary life. Either way, you'll learn something too.
