Jack
Flying out to LA to check on my son’s new relationship is one thing, but what do I do when I fall in love with his best friend Tom?
I know Elliot wants Tom to be our buffer. I think he's meant to distract me. He definitely does that. The more I talk to Tom, the more I realize there’s more to him than a flirty, over the top persona he shows the world.
He’s real, he’s lonely and everything about him draws me in.

Tom
My best friend wants me to check in on his dad. That’s it. So why am I feeling this way?
Sure, the man’s hot, but there are plenty of gorgeous men in L.A... All I have to do is talk to him, keep him company and make sure he's occupied during his stay.
There’s just one problem; the more I get to know him the more I want him to be mine. This was never part of the plan. But I’m falling for Jack and I don’t know how to stop. I don’t want to.
Fragile has little to no angst and lots of fluff! There is no cheating, and definitely a HEA! This a short and sweet read.

After loving Forbidden, I was super excited to dive into Fragile. The second book in the Strictly Off Limits series by Skyler Snow and Rheland Richmond, it's everything I hoped it would be.

In the first book, Forbidden, Elliott fell in love with his father's friend. This time Jack falls in love with his son's friend Tom. Yes, this time around we get to see Elliott's father, Jack, find love. And, yay, it's another May to December romance. Woo Hoo!

I love everything about this story. It's wonderful that their friendship is what develops first, as they naturally gravitate to one another. Their relationship is one of flirting and hot tension, followed by first times, spanking, and the struggle of coming out to one's son. There's heat and humor, sweetness and tenderness.

Jack and Tom are two characters who are easy to love. Each man has a past that is complicated and has fully shaped them into who they are today. Jack is one who put his life aside in order to raise his son. He's bisexual, but hasn't ever been with a man. Tom, meanwhile, has a heart wrenching past, full of a homophobic family and a life on the streets.

I love these men and the ease in which they fall in love. The two complete one another perfectly, with each bringing a sense of calm to the other. Of course, this is a story of a relationship that develops in secret, which adds a touch of light angst.

The writing is great, with alternating 1st person pov that brings the emotions out in full force. The authors excel in entwining these men with Scott and Elliott, making them ever present in this story.

Fragile is a fantastic read. Be sure to check out this Skyler Snow and Rheland Richmond collaboration the next time you're in the mood for a sweet May to December read. You won't be disappointed.

For whatever reason I decided to read this after the hot mess that was the first one. While this one is marginally better, it still isn't great. It's basically the same book but less kinky. There is still a huge plot hole right after they admit feelings for the first time. They literally jump from friends to having been in a relationship for weeks in the course of a page. It kinda blows because the first half of this is good. It had potential to be a decent book, but damn, just make them have a fucking conversation about sex before they do it. It's not that hard.

Oh my dear Jack!

If you were like me you figured out halfway through the first book who the second one would be about. However, the way they got together was absolutely perfect! Start as friends and go from there, what could be better?! Not to mention they are great for each other just like Scott and Elliott. The personalities of all the characters makes them seem like people I would love to know if he related to, especially Tom!

This is the second book in the "Strictly Off Limits" series. It is best to read this series in order as Fragile picks up where the first book left off. Jack just finds out that his son Elliot and his best friend Scott are in a relationship. He's awestruck and hesitant to believe that their romance is the real deal. So, Jack decides to fly out to California to check on them. He's not planning on staying long and hopes that he can come to terms with their relationship before he flies back home. To get Jack accustomed to the area, Elliot enlists his friend Tom to help. Tom is the happy-go-lucky guy that can turn everything dirty and the first to crack a joke. But there's something about Jack that makes Tom let down his guard and open up. The more time they spend together the more they both realize there may be something between them. But Jack leaves halfway across the country and there is a significant age gap between them. Can they make this relationship work or will hearts be broken?

This novel has a slow-moving plot with little conflict but the vulnerabilities that the characters reveal makes the story worthwhile. I found myself enjoying learning about the inner workings of Tom. It was so cute watching Jack peel back the younger man's layers. The romance between them is sweet and I liked how they started as friends and it slowly became something more throughout the more. In addition to the romance between these men, I liked the relationship between Jack and his son Elliot. With Jack's move and Elliot's new relationship these two men had a lot more to discuss and be open about. I liked their developing relationship as Jack got used to L.A. and as he got to know Tom.

I would recommend this book for those that like age gap MM romance, friend's-to-lovers, and best friend's dad. I received an advanced copy of this book for a voluntarily and honest review.

Jack was flying to LA to check out the relationship between his son Elliot and his best friend Scott. It appears that Elliot wants his friend Tom to be a buffer to help him cope with the new normal but as he talks to him then he realises that there is more to him than the flirty and over-the-top persona that he presents even though deep down he is lonely. Tom finds that the more he gets to know Jack the more he wants him to be his and he has no idea if he wants to stop falling for him.

I loved this story with Jack who had put his life on hold while he brought up Elliot but was now starting to feel things for Tom and a lonely Tom who was starting to feel things that he wasn't sure he should stop. I loved the way that emotions came out when he had been intensely drawing Jack and that was very moving. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is a story containing MM mature content into a light BSDM-like DDLB relationship which a sweet HEA.

Loved this couple

I was so looking forward to Tom getting his own book, his character stood out in book 1.

In this book Jack Elliot's father from book 1 comes to visit to check on his son. Elliot is worried about his dad so he has his outspoken friend Tom talk to his dad. I like how each character has their individual vulnerabilities in this book. They really bond and start to open up to each other which was great to see. Tom is outspoken and feisty and I love how that rubbed off on Jack with the inappropriate jokes.

Sweet and funny age Gap romance

As good as the first one, the continuation on this series is simply amazing. Tom and Jack's age gap romance is easy to read and low angst, making this book a perfect summer reading. Both characters were masterfully written, making their emotions so clear that was a delight to witness their lovely interactions. From the first page to the sweet epilogue, this book is so amazing! Loved It!

Fragile

I really enjoyed Tom and Jack’s story! It is book 2 in the series, but can stand alone. It is a sweet romance between two lost souls, and the story of their love and HEA is very satisfying! A small warning - this book is not as well proofread as the first, but the story is excellent.

Let me start off by saying I would read this again, BUT you would think with two different authors writing someone would have caught all the grammar errors. Incorrect words/missing letters were consent throughout the whole book

But as far as the story goes I liked it. It was a quick read.

Story: 4/5
Spice: 2/5
Read again: 4/5

Fragile

Super cute, short, fluffy read. Just like book one in the series I wish it was longer and idk what it is but feel like it’s missing something. Over good read, will read more if they are to come in the series.

Jack and Tom

This age gap romance between Jack and Tom was sweet with laid back Jack and outgoing Tom. Both men filled a void in each other's lives that started with friendship that then turned into romance. This was a cute series.

Adorable

I love a cute smutty novel, but I feel this also has depth. It addresses the struggles of divorce, losing important people, and changing relationships. It has humor as well as sweetness

Jack and Tom's story was way better than Scott and Elliot's..! They were made and perfect for each other!

This book is about Jack, a single father with empty nest syndrome. He felt lonely than ever before since his only son, Elliot, moved to L.A. He was lost and had nothing to do in his free time since he devoted his time being a single father and raised Elliot.

Then he meet Tom, Elliot's bestie. Tom's upbeat, cheerful personality and nonchalant attitude are a facade to hide his messy life. With Jack, Tom felt trully seen and Tom can felt the loneliness surrounding Jack. Both of them find comfort and safe place in each other embrace.

The bonus scene is make it even more perfect! Loved it..!

Fragile is the second book in the Strickly Off Limits book by Rheland Richmond and Skyler Snow. This contemporary m/m romance includes an age gap and a best friend's father forbidden lovers vibe. There is humor, sweetness, flirting, and steam.... and a whole lot of love. The story is entertaining and sweet, and the characters are interesting and fun.

•I was able to read an advanced copy of this title and am reviewing voluntarily and honestly my own thoughts, opinion and reactions based on that copy.
