Rate this book
If Elizabeth says “yes,” she may save her reputation. First, they’ll have to make it to the altar.

Mr. Darcy has moved heaven and earth to propose to Miss Elizabeth Bennet and to make amends for the damage to her prospects and reputation. His aunt, Lady Catherine, will cause no end of trouble given the chance.

Even if he manages to secure Elizabeth’s hand in marriage, Mr. Darcy won’t be convinced she is his until they are man and wife—in every way. Each minute in her beguiling presence is exquisite torture, and the unwitting Elizabeth is driving him to madness.

Miss Elizabeth Bennet knows marrying into the Darcy line will secure her future, but what of the man himself? Mr. Darcy’s behavior has been a study in contradictions, and Elizabeth doesn’t know if she can trust him with her heart.

Her body, however, has other ideas. The more time she spends around Mr. Darcy, the more appealing the idea of being married to him becomes...

Part 3 of a 4 part novella series featuring Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy.

3.5 rounded up to 4 stars

This part of a series has ODC finally reaching the altar. Elizabeth has mostly resigned herself to the necessity of doing so but still fears her reputation may never be whole. Darcy has expressed his love.

Darcy, the dear man, has reached a point where he: 1.) recognizes all the missteps he has made in his relationship with Elizabeth, 2.) apologizes and swears to forever show his regret for such and 3.) is determined to persuade her to marry him.

We reached the end of this third in a series as they marry and have their wedding night...and he saves the sheets to prove her innocence, if need be. He is especially pleased that his bride is one of a passionate nature.

Another lovely interlude in our story. Poor Elizabeth has suffered so much in the last few months but will she be able to find love and happiness together with Darcy? I won’t say anymore since I don’t want to spoil it for anyone but I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I can’t wait for the last part to see what happens next! Once again Lady Catherine intrudes where she is not wanted, but Darcy and Elizabeth are already married and have consummated their marriage. Darcy was smart enough to finally gain the woman that he wanted. Bingley has finally realized that he needs to get his sister's out of his life so that Jane can have a happy marriage. Looking forward to the final book.

I initially found the beginning of this part 3 a little slow. The proposal and then the preparation for the wedding and Lady C's initial visit to EB. Then finally the wedding (i wasn't sure it was going 5o happen, esp this is part 3 and I feared EB was going to refuse , again!). Then the wedding night and then another visit to the Darcy's at the end.

Overall, the story was still engaging. It would have been nicer if there were more sweet moments between the two. Moments they each realize their feelings or their true feelings. At this point, each one still has doubts whether the other loves them. (Anyway, it has a mature scene , the wedding night, thus is suited for mature readers.

Feels authentic in dialogue to the original “Pride and Prejudice” story. A detailed depiction of the depth of Darcy’s love and sensual feelings for Elizabeth. Retains the feel and nuances of the original story with same characters under some different circumstances. If you’ve ever wondered what was really going through Darcy’s mind when he stared at the lovely Miss Bennett - you’ll enjoy this short, romantic and spicy tale. To be continued in part 4 and I look forward to reading more!

This is a good variation of the classic novel, definitely for more mature audiences. Gives you an idea of what Darcy was thinking as he looked upon Elizabeth. It was fun to see what went through his mind. The story was well-written and held my interest till the end. I'm looking forward to reading more books by this author.

Mr Darcy's Pursuit leads to the altar.

Third part of a mature story of Darcy and Elizabeth. Quite fun, but more bawdy than usual.
A goodly amount of text on Darcy's struggle to control his rampant erection!

Bits of confusion

Not sure why at this point, but the day after her wedding night, Elizabeth is questioning Darcy's love. There are a few inconsistencies like this, but overall it is a good story. So not see why it needed to be 4 books.

I’m going to write a cross book review for these x4 + books. I’ll post for each book. So spoilers ahead. Beware.
This story starts with Lizzie trapped as a serving maid in a dubious establishment after she is tricked to go work as a governess, a job that doesn’t exist. Lizzy finds out she’s being taken to be a light skirt in London and escapes, taking a job at a public house.
Darcy, due to a storm, stumbles across this house and spots Lizzy. He discovers enough of her story to insist on taking her with him to pemberly. Lizzie resists of course but eventually agrees.
Now what can Darcy do with her. Her reputation is sullied by no fault of her own and he still wants her. But it would be unsupportable to marry her. He rather stupidly asks her to be his mistress, with earns him a reddened cheek and a jaunt across the country.
I’ll say no more but this is a nice slow burn sexy as hell series I’m really loving and cannot wait for part 5.
