Numbered #3

Tree: Live to give, give to live

Rate this book
Live to give, give to live. That is the mantra of a Worker.

Tree, the penultimate book in the Numbered series, hypes up the tension in the lead up to the final dramatic climax; the struggle for freedom.

The run up to the election is proving a dangerous time in Lunar City for presidential candidate Jonathan, Aurelia and their Resistance friends. When Aurelia is shot at an Elite function, the crew decide that it’s time to head back to Earth to escape the melting pot and to recruit more members to their cause by revealing Jonathon as the leader to the Resistance.

Hopping between the contrasting environments of the five remaining Earth cities, finding old friends and new hopes, isn’t quite enough to keep Aurelia distracted from what she knows is the brutal truth: they are on the cusp of a revolution and sometimes you have to lose individuals to save the masses.

This third novel takes us further into the resistance and their plan to change the way things are run. Elza, Jonathon, Aurelia, and Nicolas are conspiring
to tie up loose ends before bringing the people from all cities together to help them not only get Jonathon elected, but in order to stabilize an army in order to fight for equality amongst all people. If you are a fan of the "Dvergent" series or "The Hunger games" this novel is right for you.
I suggest you read the first two before attempting this: "Wanted" and "Tool."

I really liked this addition to the series. It focused more on the political side of things which was really interesting. I really enjoyed all of the characters and some of the plotpoints were totally surprising.

The book is given by the author for my honest review.

Tree is the third book of the Numbered series and it is still as powerful of a story as the first two books. Aurelia returns to Earth on Resistance business, and the journey is not an easy one. Readers who have been following the story will see more of the cities of Earth with tension, drama, and suspense. There are moments that are foreseeable, some that are fast-paced and action-packed, and some amazing surprises that readers cannot see coming. The author's imagination of this dystopia society and the events of the Resistance are well thought out and in detail so that it is entertaining but never heavy and boring. This segment of the series shows that it is still going strong and makes me eager to read more.

what an amazing series this is! The third book, Tree, brings back Jonathon, Aurelia and Nicholas again, in full force, conniving and conspiring with the Resistance in order to build a united front. The planning seems a little far fetched at first, but with the ever growing Resistance, nothing is impossible.

A lot of emotions fluttered in my head while reading Tree. Aurelia impressed me with her guts, Nicholas and Jonathon are the epitome of hometown heroes, while Lukas and Elza provided the much needed support in the group. The ending came as a surprise, as I wasn't expecting Jonathon to pop-up the question. It causes quite a stir in me.

Can't wait to read Fall!

This is a bit of a weaker entry compared to the rest, but still great. The only reason I say it's weaker is because this one is a bit more of the planning type, rather than the execution type. It's a book that is building to an epic climax, and I can't wait to read the next one! It's a great third book to an epic series.
