Recommend for those wanting more out of the D&C

Enjoyed reading the commentary and notes throughout the book highlighting things in the verses that made it make much more sense. Enjoyed the end with more info on the key beginning members and J Smiths kids.

This book has definitely helped me to understand the Doctrine and Covenants this year. It explains things in a way that helps me with a surety of what I am reading and with the timeliness of when things took place.

Good for help with basic understanding and some definitions. Definitely didn’t agree with all of his “interpretations.” It’s good for a seminary-student-level of inquiry. I would recommend Skinner or Welch for deeper scholarship.
