Haunted woods, glowing animals, and another mysterious murder!
When Addy and Spooky find a hiker’s body in the woods, Addy thinks the mysterious death is the least of her worries. That is until the dead woman’s ghost starts haunting her. Now she and her magical familiar are on the case of another murder with dark magic nipping at their heels.
Was it the ex-husband, the jealous best friend, or maybe the greedy nephew? And could the murder have anything to do with the glowing animals running around town? Find out in Catnip Cantrips, the second installment in the Twilight Hollow cozy mysteries series.
The story keeps you interested, and the characters are fun. I like how their personalities are coming out and how they go together. I'm curious to see how the story develops in the next book.
Another very enjoyable easy fun cozy mystery read. Addy is still being hounded by dark magic and her siblings, Luna and Callie are keeping an eye out for her but whilst walking in the woods seeking the dark magic out Addy notices a body, a dead body down in the ravine. And once again she is on her way to solving yet another murder case as the ghost seeks her out and takes up residence in her house urging her to find her killer. Addy works with Logan White, the homicide detective but when she comes across glowing animals and discovers who is creating these and why she does not tell him for fear of dragging him into something way above his mundane head. Her family are very worried for her safety as Addy is a spirit channelling witch and they know why she is being hounded. This is yet another murder mystery solved this time with a lot of input by the murder victim herself as a ghost however the real problem haunting Addy is very far from resolved! Though romance seems to be in the air for Addy and Spooky, her familiar, is communicating more with her she feels far from safe. I cannot wait for the next exciting cozy mystery to find out what is going on in the little town where Addy owns and runs the toasty bean cafe.
Entertaining Supernatural Cozy mystery series. A great cast of characters and an entertaining storyline. Adeline and her sisters are all witches so is her mother. Adelaide owns a little coffee café where she sells coffee and drinks and a few baked goods that she makes. How long with her familiar a black cat named spooky. She always ends up getting drawn into local murder investigations. She has the ability to channel spirits which is not always a good ability. Sometimes dark magic users seek out chandlers for their own reasons. Read on and see what adventures Adelaide and her family can get up to in this book. Very entertaining and a fun read.
Another great and easy read. I was beginning to think maybe I hated reading but turns out I was just reading the wrong type of books...although I know I'll still go back to my spicy saucy books. Addy and her sisters are so lovely but I hate the two love interests. Well scratch that just one. He is so BORING. I want her to realise her feelings for the grumpy Logan and bin the other one off. These books feel like I've stepped back into my childhood and watching a episode of Charmed and I love it. On to the next! My only annoyance is the cat being called Spooky. With all the sisters having semi Irish names I would of loved to carry this on but ah well!
Overall I enjoyed this book, it was well written and the characters where good, especially Martha. To me the last page felt like an after thought/rushed.
**SPOILERS**
My biggest problem is that (hopefully temporary) the author put Addy with the vet at the end, why? One would think she'd tell him no so he wouldn't be in danger and also she wouldn't have to clue another mundane in. In my opinion, Logan would be better considering he knows what she is, knows almost all of what she's going through, knows the danger of being around her, and most importantly trusts and believes her.
I really enjoyed this installment, it’s a nice co-reading experience when you’re reading a series that can sometimes mentally toy with you. This smaller series is a nice mental cleanse. The characters aren’t too bad and I’m enjoying the crime fighting. I wonder if Addy will ever come toe to toe with the dark energy following her around and if she and her kitten will ever get stronger with telepathy. I look forward to diving in to the next installment. I see people downing this author but I’m loving the reading style.

Another murder to solve but with more witchy problems. Addy is a hoot to follow. I'm more inclined for Addy and Logan to be endgame. The mystery of her abilities just keep growing. I love how the author really puts you in her shoes and makes you feel like you're there living the battle with her. Can't tell you how many times I held my breath and got scared along with Addy.
Adelaide was convinced she was a failure as a witch, but since she solved a murder and can now make edible baked good her confidence is growing. Unfortunately, she is now on the radar of some very bad supernaturals. She does have her family, a handsome Vet, and handsome Detective to help her.
Adelaide is a witch and starting to hear her familiar much more now, she has a mystery murder to solve when a ghost demands help and dishy Logan and Max are still competing for her attention. The dark is still after her but her family are there to help and Spooky the cat is there to help rescue her as well. A cracking story lot's of fun. Think she will end up with Logan eventually.
I want more and I am so happy this is a series. I usually go for more romance vibes, however this series is full of mystery and self discovery, I can get over the lack of spice. I will say though that the plot does have almost a slow burn, love triangle vibe and I am here for it.
Cute, cosy and short. The perfect mix for book 2 of this series, I appreciated the length as I feel this particular story didn’t lend itself to being as long as book 1, which the author definitely realised and accommodated for. Maybe it felt slightly rushed towards the last chapter, but I’m nevertheless looking forward to book 3.

This is a fun series with great characters. The mystery plot was well-thought-out with creative dialogue. Addy isn't the typical cozy heroine which makes the story more interesting.
This is a light, easy read. It was funny and had enough action to keep you reading. I would recommend this to anyone who likes cozy mysteries with witches and other paranormals.
Great book series so far. I really like how the characters keep evolving. The series is entertaining with bits of humor, mystery and intrigue. The story makes we want to turn the next page to find out what happens next.
Love this series...books 1&2 have been most enjoyable...hope she chooses her detective for her love choice...although her vet is a sweetie...characters all fleshing out nicely...plenty of magic around and a seriously adorable cat .
To me, Sara Christene is a new author. I love her work on this series and can t wait to read more. The characters are lovely and the stories are hard to resist. I have found myself losing sleep to keep on reading to the end of the book. Well worth it!
I enjoy this series a lot. The books are shorter than most but that makes them easier to read if I only have a short period of time. Alk of the characters are interesting and revile around the story line in an easy manner. On to book three.
Sara Christene shines at building an interesting, unique world and pairing it with a solid murder mystery. Twilight Hollow is quickly becoming one of my favorite para cozy series.
