From medical secretary to court reporter to property manager to owner of a special events decorating company, my resume reads as if I don’t know what I want to be when I grow up. But one thing that has remained constant through the years is my love for writing. I currently pen fun and fast-paced inspirational romance and romantic suspense stories. My books have won several awards and been nominated for two RITA® awards and an RT Reviewers’ Choice Best Book Award.

After spending most of my life in Florida, a few years ago, I moved to the mountains of North Carolina, where I write my stories outside on the back deck in the summertime and inside in front of the fireplace in the wintertime. When I’m not writing or doing writerly things, I enjoy hiking, camping, kayaking—almost anything outdoors. My two grown daughters and grandkids live too far away for my liking, so I now pour all that nurturing into taking care of two sassy black cats.

This is a Suspense Clean Romance, and this is the second book in the K-9 Search and Rescue series. I have read the first book in this series before picking up this book. I love the characters in this book, and the storyline keeps you wanting to read the book. There is not a ton of romance, but the two main characters where so good together. I books with dogs in them, and Alcee the rescue dog in this book, I love so much. I did not guess the ending, and it was so good. I really enjoyed this book. This book was page-turning, gripping, and heartwarming. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.

I re-read this book by listening to the audiobook. I really enjoyed the audiobook, and I think the narrator was very good.

Trailing a Killer is an edgy story that is full of action, suspense, danger, and a second chance at love. Set in Lee County, Florida we are taken to the different cities of Ft. Myers, Cape Coral, Pine Island, and Punta Gorda, all familiar to me as my husband and I lived there many years ago. This is a lovely part of the state where the climate is sub tropical and the gulf is not far away. Two vacationing teenagers fell in love ten years ago but she broke it off wanting to go to college without an commitments. Erin Jeffries returned to the area a year ago and is now a detective with the Lee County Sheriff's Office. She and her white German Shepherd are on a search and rescue mission in the aftermath of a hurricane when her old friend Cody Elbourne is the person they found in the debris of a fallen building. Cody's grandfather is also with him and doesn't make it. Cody returned to the area eight years ago for the warm climate and maybe hoping for more. The apartment building was not knocked down by the storm but by someone's actions. Why would someone bring down the apartment building? They are not stopping their evil methods as Cody's life is threatened over and over. Buy why? Erin is determined to keep Cody safe. Her department is working to find the elusive man responsible but he is relentless and the danger continues.
This is one that kept me guessing to the end. Both Erin and Cody are carrying baggage from bad relationships in their life. Will they get a second chance at love? Did God want them to get a second chance? I loved the setting and characters while the mystery, suspense, and action kept the pages turning.
I received a complimentary ARC from the author. All thoughts and opinions are mine only and a positive review was not required.

3 Stars for Trailing a Killer: K-9 Search and Rescue, Book 2 (audiobook) by Carol J. Post read by Emma Lysy.

Not only can Alcee search for trapped survivors but the dog can also help identify dangerous people. And maybe even bring some love into its owners life too.

Trailing a Killer was packed with many moments of hold-your-breath danger and the sweet possibility of a second chance at romance for two people who had been through a lot in the years that they were apart.

The author did a great job of keeping me guessing as to who was behind all of the threats on Cody’s life. And Cody, well, it took awhile for him to realize exactly how much danger he was in. Goodness! He made some decisions that placed him right where the killer wanted him, but thankfully he began to realize that someone wanted him dead and that Erin knew what she was doing.

Alcee, the search and rescue dog, was a great addition to the story. I loved the connection that she and Erin had and the way that she took right to Cody, as well. This was a very enjoyable and suspenseful tale, with a good faith message sprinkled in, as well.

Trailing a Killer is part of a continuity series where each book is written by a different author. This book can be read as a stand alone novel.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

An explosion, a hurricane,a fire, a K-9 Search
and Rescue dog, a Search and Rescue
Detective plus an old boyfriend and a killer
will keep the reader on the edge of their
seat as this gripping, intriguing and
inspiration plotted story unfolds.
Alcee, is a K-9 German Shepherd Search
and Rescue dog who works with Detective
Erin Jeffries of the Lee’s Office County Office
as a volunteer in the Peace River Search and
Rescue group.
After a hurricane hits their part of Florida, they
are called out to a collapsed apartment, they
discover a grandfather and his grandson,
Cody Elbourne. Cody is a former summer love
of Erin.
Turns out the apartments collapsed due to
explosives and Cody saw the man leaving the
building.
Cody needs to go into hiding while the police
trail the culprit.
I found this story captivating from the beginning
until the very end.
I enjoyed the interactions of the main characters.
Their was undeniable chemistry between them
throughout the story. They both had to put the
past behind to move onto the future.
I had chills reading about the potshots taken
at Cody.
Will Alcee and Erin be able to save Cody? Will
they be able to save themselves?
The explosion, arson, suspense, deadly intrigue
action and adventure mix with the inspirational
tread weave though the story.
I felt Alcee, the Search and Rescue dog was a
good example of what situations these type
dogs are used to aide with.
I also found it interesting about the various
types of training for K-9 Rescue dogs.
A Highly Recommended Christian Suspense
Mystery.
This is book # 2 in K-9 Search and Rescue series.
It can be read as a stand alone.
I volunteered to read Trailing a Killer. Thanks
to the author for the opportunity. My opinion is
voluntary and my own.

Eeeep! There are so many reasons I love this Love Inspired Suspense and one of them is that it veers from the line's norm by offering a more sedate approach to the suspense. That in no way means there aren't many high-octane moments in Trailing a Killer, just that they are spread out over weeks, not days, and there's plenty of down time for relationship building.

Getting to know Cody and Erin with a specter of danger looming over them but not wholly consuming every second of their story was a refreshing break from the usual edge-of-your-seater where action happens on every other page. That doesn't mean this still isn't a page-turner or that I'm not a fan of relentless action thrillers. It's that, just like I enjoy varying my genre choices when I read, I like to vary the intensity in my suspense as well. Variety is the spice of an armchair sleuth's life, after all. :-)

So what else did I love about Trailing a Killer? Alcee, of course, and her empathetic doggy nature as well as her canine conversational skills! :-) And the way the investigation develops -- including the tedious wait-for-results reality check to crime fighting! And the reunion romance where love has a chance to deepen into something profoundly beautiful if only fear can be conquered. Honestly -- there's as much suspense surrounding the romance as there is with the investigation! And I loved the significant faith thread that brings everything into perspective.

I listened to the audible edition narrated by Emma Lysy who brought these characters to life and increased my 'reading' enjoyment tenfold. I'm hoping that the Love Inspired lines produce more audible editions in the future.

The story started off really intensely: Erin and Alcee off to rescue someone from a collapsed building. Of course, as the book's back cover tells us, things aren't nearly as cut-and-dried as they initially seemed to be.
I really liked Erin . . . how she was learning to trust in Jesus, and in His redemptive power for her life, even if that meant her PTSD would forever be a 'thorn in the flesh'. She was determined to do what was right and protect the people around her . . . not just as part of her job in the police department, but because she truly cared.
I also really liked Cody . . . stubbornness and all. Despite his past heartaches, he wanted to do what was right, and be a good man.
I also liked them together . . . how they were working through feelings that had not really gone away completely after they'd met and dated during a long-past summer. The relationship didn't feel at all rushed, and though they both fought it, the romantic tension was definitely there.
It was interesting to see if there were clues pointing us to who was out to kill Cody, but I do have to say that the reveal of the baddie felt almost a little anticlimactic, given all that Cody and Erin were put through on the way to figure out who the 'perp' was.
Still, a likable read!

Trailing a Killer was a great read. It's the second book in the K-9 Search and Rescue series, but it felt like a standalone and I had no problem reading it alone. :)

I really enjoyed the storyline and characters. It was an easy read and one I finished relatively quickly for my current reading pace.

All in all, a book I recommend if you enjoy romantic suspense.

I loved Cody and Erin's story! They had a "summer romance" years prior when they were young but went their separate ways and never thought they'd see each other again. They both never forgot each other, however! Erin is a K-9 search and rescue officer and in the aftermath of a hurricane, she is called out to a collapsed building to see if there is a survivor, long with her dog. Thankfully, her dog finds someone and she is shocked to discover that survivor is Cody! What is he doing here in Florida? When they find out the building was brought down by a bomb and not the hurricane, Cody's life is in danger and so begins the action-packed story! I really enjoyed how Cody and Erin worked through several individual problems along with the danger Cody was facing. I also LOVED the K-9 dog. He was amazing! A wonderful book with great characters!

This book did not have any redeeming qualities. The characters were cold, which is surprising for Christian fiction. One of the books they kept talking about was "Jesus Calling", In which the author used automatic handwriting. This is writing through a spirit guide. Please see my article clips below. I would definitely caution against this book.

Jesus Calling by Sarah Young: A False Jesus?
https://ses.edu/jesus-calling-by-sara...

"Another major red flag is Young’s positive acknowledgement of the book God Calling. Writing about the two women who authored this work, Young states, “These women practiced waiting quietly in God’s Presence, pencils and papers in hand, recording the messages they received from Him.” [20]Young’s fondness for this book and use of it as inspiration for her communication mode with God is deeply disconcerting when one examines the history, method, and content of this “treasure.”"

"Terms related to New Thought and Spiritualism are seen in God Calling entries for (but not limited to) Feb. 27, March 10 and 13, June 19, July 29, Aug. 18, and Nov. 17 and include terms such as “material manifestation,” “Spirit-life,” “Spirit-communication,” “Spirit-Kingdom,” “the material plane,” “Sprit Sounds,” “spirit understanding,” and “Spirit-world.” This language indicates a Gnostic-based spirit-material and spirit-body duality. Even taking into account when this book was written, these terms are not Christian and never have been. "

"There are numerous passages where Young’s Jesus tells the reader to go within to hear and know Jesus, such as

I am central to your innermost being. Your mind goes off in tangents from its holy Center from time to time….the quickest way to redirect your mind to me is to whisper My Name. (Aug. 25)

The above message is fraught with problems. How is Jesus related to “our innermost being?” All who trust in Christ are indwelt by the Holy Spirit, but He is not part of our being. The Holy Spirit is never part of man’s nature. And what “holy Center” is Young referencing? This is not a concept found in Scripture; Scripture teaches that man is fallen, in sin, and needs a Redeemer. A redeemed Christian still does not have a “holy Center.”"

"For Dec. 25, this Jesus says, in part:

Try to imagine what I gave up when I came into your world as a baby.[….]…I accepted the limitations of infancy under the most appalling conditions — a filthy stable. That was a dark night for Me. [27]

These statements do not reflect the character of Christ; Christ does not seek our sympathy or thanks via self-pitying remarks."

Trailing a Killer is by Carol J Post. This is part of a series about K9 Search and Rescue dogs and their handlers.
Erin Jeffries and her dog Alcee are headed to Pine Island, Florida to a demolished house due to a hurricane. Although the area had mandatory evacuation, someone was in the house. Hopefully, Alcee would find this person alive. This was Alcee’s first rescue like this. She had been trained for rescue work; but had just finished the workshop for this particular use.
Once at the scene, and given the clear to go in, Alcee picked her way over the rubble until she found sign that a person was here and alive. Elated, she and Erin stood back to help as needed. To her surprise, the man who came out of the rubble was one Erin hadn’t seen for twelve years ago, her love for one summer- Cody Elbourne.
Cody had come to the house on the island to get his grandfather who was refusing to be evacuated, so, in spite of his misgivings, Cody rode it out with his grandfather. Cody heard 5-6 explosions before the house fell in on itself. He thought they were gas tanks; but the house had no ice pelts. Cody made it through with few injuries; but Pops died of complications from a ruptured spleen.
Erin came to see Cody in the hospital since she was the only person he knew in town. Cody was watching a maintenance man fiddle with the switches; but he left quickly. Luckily his soup was still warm. He started to eat it; but Alcee interfered and Erin took the soup for the doctor to check. It turned out to be poisoned. Who would want to try to kill Cody? Erin became the lead detective on the case.

"Trailing a Killer" is a Christian romantic suspense novel. I liked that Cody never questioned Erin's abilities as a cop. When he resisted her suggestions on how to stay safe, it wasn't because he thought her incompetent or that he knew better but because he didn't like his freedom being restricted and financially needed to keep working. After she was proven correct several times, he was willing to follow her suggestions because he realized that the situation was serious and she could keep him alive. The romance started back when they were young, but they parted and had some really bad romantic experiences that put them off dating and marriage. As they got to know each other again, they realized what a relationship between them could offer might be worth the risk.

The main characters were thoughtful, likable, and reacted realistically to events. Suspense was created by multiple attempts to kill Cody while Erin's investigation kept hitting dead ends. Erin found strength and healing in God. Cody initially wasn't interested in religion, though he was curious about why Erin believed since she didn't need a religious crutch. There was no sex or bad language. Overall, I really enjoyed the story and would highly recommend it.

Having read a number of Carol J. Post's books, I knew I was in for a good suspense story when I picked up Trailing a Killer, part of the K-9 Search and Rescue series. It is a Love Inspired Suspense novel that keeps the reader on the edge of the seat, wondering who is out to silence Cody and why. Will Erin and her search and rescue dog, Alcee, be able to keep Cody alive. With explosions, car accidents, and fire, staying alive is certainly a challenge! The author does a great job at keeping the reader wondering who the culprit is. This is a fast moving story with lots of action scenes, good dialogue, strong characters, romance and a thread of faith in a God who protects and loves to give second chances. A captivating suspense story. I look forward to reading more of this author's works.

Erin Jeffries is a police detective and volunteer canine search and rescue worker. When she’s called to a house that’s collapsed in a hurricane, the last person she expects to rescue is her teenage sweetheart, Cody Elbourne. And neither of them expect a collapsed house to turn into a murder investigation … or for Cody to be worried for his life.

Yes, Trailing a Killer starts off with a bang. The pace only lets up long enough for Erin and Cody to rediscover their previous relationship (well, this is Love Inspired Suspense. We want the Love as much as the Suspense).

I enjoyed reading about Alcee, Erin’s search and rescue dog. As a cat owner, I’m always impressed by dogs and their willingness to work. In fact, they delight in being helpful. Cats … not so much. I was especially impressed by Alcee’s uncanny canine abilities to identify those she likes and trusts vs. those she doesn’t. I will definitely be interested in reading more books in this series.

There were also some more serious issues. Erin in particular has some scars in her background that affect her ability to trust others, especially men. She’s a new Christian and is working through those issues—and it was great to see a new Christian working through what it means to be a person of faith.

I am a fan of Carol J Post’s novels, and this is no exception. The plot was perfect romantic suspense, the characters were strong (I’m always a fan of female characters who are competent in an unusual profession), and the ending was spot on.

Thanks to Carol J Post for providing a free ebook for review.

There has to be a better way to reunite with a former love than this. Erin Jeffries is a detective with the Lee County Sheriff's Office, but she and her search and rescue K-9 Alcee also volunteer with the Peace River K-9 Search And Rescue group. After a Category 3 hurricane hits her part of Florida Erin and Alcee are called in to search for any trapped victims in a house which has collapsed. There they find Cody Elbourne, Erin's summer love in Punta Gorda a number of years ago. He was trapped in the rubble with his grandfather who lived in the building. Turns out the hurricane wasn't the cause of the house collapsing. Explosives had been set to take down the building. Since Cody saw a man leaving the building Erin and the police believe the man set the explosives. Then began the attempts on Cody's life. Good thing Erin and Alcee were there to rescue Cody. Erin is determined to keep her heart safe from falling for Cody again. She experienced a traumatic event with an ex-boyfriend that has left her with frequent nightmares. She didn't think she was ready to trust again.

Cody Elbourne moved to Florida from Chicago and started a remodeling business. He left his beloved grandparents behind in Chicago. After his grandmother died Cody talked his grandfather into moving to Florida to be closer to him. Cody went to his grandfather's apartment to help him evacuate before a Category 3 hurricane hit the area. The man was so stubborn. He was refusing to evacuate and while Cody was arguing with him about it the house collapsed around them. It was a day and a half before they were both pulled from the rubble. They were both transported to the hospital but his grandfather didn't make it. What a surprise it had been to find that his former love Erin Jeffries and her search and rescue dog Alcee were the ones to find them. They say God works in mysterious ways. That was the first time Erin and Alcee saved his life. It wasn't the last. Someone was out to get him. But who?

Trailing A Killer by Carol J. Post is the second book in the Harlequin series, K-9 Search and Rescue. This book was definitely a page-turner for me. There is lots of action and suspense throughout the story. This author kept me guessing as to who was trying to kill Cody until the end. I liked how Ms. Post developed Erin and Cody's relationship throughout the story. This isn't an instant fall-back-in-love story. I also liked how Alcee accepted Cody right away. The three of them together make a great family. This is a well-thought-out storyline with likable characters. I am looking forward to the next book in the series, Mountain Survival by Christy Barritt.

Trailing a Killer has compelling suspense and a touching romance, plus a great search and rescue dog. Carol Post keeps the excitement going throughout the book. Warning: There is no good stopping place until The End. I did not have the bad guy figured out before he was caught.
Cody and Erin had a summer romance before she broke it off and left for college. When they are reunited years later, both have some emotional hurdles to cross before they can have that HEA. The author did a good job developing her characters. The changes didn't take place overnight, and there were setbacks like in real life.
I highly recommend this to readers of romantic suspense, inspirational romance, and clean romance. Oh, and to dog lovers too--Alcee is wonderful! I would not hesitate to recommend this to family and friends.

Detective Erian and her K-9 is helping out a survivor caught under a collapsed building. Little did she expect this blast from the past seeing that person is her ex, Cody Elbourne. After a couple of straight occurrences, its clear this was no accident and someone is after Cody. Now Erin will do everything she can to protect him and try to keep her heart out of it.

I enjoyed this book there was plenty going on to keep me hooked. I loved seeing that bit of romance between the two clearly they had something that never really went out and I enjoyed seeing how that played out and appreciate that this book remained clean. I love seeing everything getting pieced together and how it call came out in the end it was just such a fun read I kept wondering when something would happen next.

Are they Trailing a Killer or is the killer trailing them?

Erin Jeffries is shocked to uncover her former high school flame in the aftermath of a hurricane, he has been trying to stay out of the path of a killer bent on taking him out. Can Erin and Cody stop the killer before its too late?

An engaging read, with likable characters and a clever canine. I liked that Erin encouraged Cody to rethink his stance on faith, as well as how they work together to make it out alive. They had good interaction, and I liked that her family welcomed him into their lives.

Overall, this was a quick read, enjoyable, filled with mystery and suspense.

Trailing a Killer is the second book in the K-9 Search and Recue series. As I said in my review of the first one in this series, THerse are not related at all. Only that they involve rescue dogs and their handlers. This one involves Erin and Cody.

I thought this one was a pretty good. I liked the msytery of who was trying to kill Cody. I was genuinely surprised at the identity of the killer. I also really enjoyed the second chance romance between Cody and Erin. It was really sweet. I do recommend this one. It's a quick read, so give it a shot.

A dual POV mystery/romance set in the Fort Myers, Florida area just after a hurricane. Erin, a detective and her search and rescue dog, Alcee, are volunteering to look for missing people after the storm, and they are sent to a collapsed house to look for survivors. She finds two. One of them happens to be a long lost love interest, Cody. It's quickly determined that the collapsed home was not damaged in the storm, but by explosives.

Side note here, I've read a few of Carol Post's romances, and I'm starting to notice a trend where the female main character is recovering from an abusive past relationship and doesn't want to be featured in interviews. In this book, other than giving Erin a reason to be frosty towards Cody, the abusive relationship doesn't wind up being relevant. Her backstory is interesting enough that it feels like it ought to be its own book. I'm glad it didn't play a major part in the book because there's more than enough going on, but I didn't need a story about how her ex- hurt her so bad, he's now serving time in prison. That distracted from the actual plot.

I enjoyed the book because Carol Post writes engaging stories that keep me turning pages. The story was sweet and wholesome despite the backdrop of a crazy psycho running around trying to murder Cody as the only witness to his crime. The romance elements were solid, and if the book didn't have any mystery elements, I would've rated it a lot higher.

Which leads me to what I didn't like. The antagonist repeatedly tries to snuff Cody like he's the only witness who can lead to the antagonist's arrest. Each time the antagonist makes an attempt, he exposes himself to potentially more witnesses, and just because the author doesn't take advantage of this doesn't mean the murderer shouldn't worry about it. Erin sees the antagonist in the hospital, yet she's never targeted. Another character winds up spending a few hours with him against her will, but the antagonist ignores her from thereon out in his single-minded dedication to take out Cody. At the end of the story, the investigating detectives discover the antagonist has means and motive through independent background checks they've run on all potential suspects, and it's more than enough to arrest him. The antagonist would've been better served running to Mexico rather than trying to repeatedly murder Cody.

I would've liked the story better had the antagonist showed an irrational need to kill anyone and everyone he thought could link him to his initial crime, an expanding pool of victims. Then I'd see him as a crazy guy. His single-minded determination to take Cody out turns him into a plot device, where he serves the story to create external conflict for our romantic interests.

I have said this in reviews of other books: I enjoy stories with intelligent animals in a key role. Alcee, the German shepherd search and rescue dog in this story, is very intelligent. Interestingly, there is a brief moment early in the book that might cause the reader to question that because Alcee became a SAR dog after she proved unsuited in two other specialties for K-9s. However, she excelled at search and rescue, and had learned more in the other training courses than anyone realized. When I read a story like this one, I can enjoy everything the animal does because I am not concerned about having a terrible sneezing spell as I would if I had a dog with me all the time, everywhere I went. I like the way Erin lived her faith in front of Cody and others. She was a young believer herself and was still learning a lot about living her life to please God. Her example was refreshing. She also handled herself well on the job, giving no one any reason to criticize her work ethic. Most of us have seen people who talk a lot about God but their actions tell a different story. Erin was all in when it came to her Christian lifestyle and work ethic, an admirable combination. I received an advance copy of this book from the author. This is my honest review. All opinions are strictly my own.

ve Inspired Suspense, Trailing a Killer. This is the second book in the series K-9 Search and Rescue. This is an excellent book and I know you are going to love it. This story is well written, action packed, and full of drama. Faith is woven throughout the story.

Detective Erin Jefferies also works in Search and Rescue. After a Hurricane they are called to a house that has collapsed. They are able to rescue a man but unable to save his grandfather. Trailing a Killer by Carol Post is book #2 in the Harlequin Love Inspired Suspense K9 Search & Rescue series. Each book in this series is written by a different author of Harlequin fame. This book is about Detective Erin Jeffries and her search and rescue K9, Alcee (a sweet and beautiful white German Shepherd Dog) who finds a couple of survivors in a collapsed house after a hurricane hits the Florida coast. The survivors are Cody Elbourne, a former love of Erin's from twelve years ago, and Cody's grandfather, who dies at the hospital a few hours later. A killer is out to get Cody, and Erin continuously saves his life. There is a Hallmark Movie series called "A Godwink . . ." Godwinks are when God causes certain good things to happen. This book is filled with Godwinks, the first one being Erin finding Cody in the collapsed building site. I mean, anybody could have found him - another search and rescue volunteer from the same city Cody was in, but God brought Erin from a different city, along with her K9, to find Cody. Each character, Erin and Cody, have issues they have to overcome before they can find peace and happiness. And Erin has to find this murderer before he claims Cody as his next victim. There was only one error I saw in this book. The first few chapters mention it was 12 years ago that Erin left Cody and 10 years ago that Erin was abused by a boyfriend and almost killed, but the last chapter of the book says 8 years ago that Erin and Cody had last seen each other until the day of the rescue. This needs to be corrected. I gave this book 5 stars. My favorite character in the entire book was Alcee, the K9. She knew just when somebody needed peace and comfort, and a big, soft paw or furry chin on a suffering human's kneed. I will be reading book #3 of the series in a couple of months because I need to catch up with some of my other reading first. Book #3 is Mountain Survival by Christy Barritt.

Trailing a Killer is starts fast a never slows down. Erin Jeffries and Cody Elbourne had a summer fling before they separated and headed off to college. Seven years later they encounter each other in a dramatic way after a hurricane. A building collapsed on Pine Island, FL. Cody and his grandfather are trapped in the rubble. Erin is a police detective with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. She has a white German shepherd, Alcee, who is a trained search and rescue dog. They are looking for victims and find Cody and his grandfather. Cody survives with bruises and some broken ribs. Unfortunately his grandfather didn’t make. It turns out the building came down as a result of explosive charges. This throws Cody and Erin together as the bomber wants to kill Cody in case he can identify him. Cody and Erin still have feelings for each other but they have deep trust issues. In the Carol J. Porter books I have read, she has the themes of faith, trust and forgiveness. In Trailing the Killer, she expands forgiveness to forgiving ourselves for the mistakes we have made.
The thrill ride kept me glued to the book. It is quick read perfect for a rainy/snowy day, the beach or traveling once life returns to normal. I was given a copy of the book. All opinions are my own.
