Are you uncertain? Do you have esteem issues? Is your inner dialogue an abusive bully? If so, you might be an Insecurity Addict. This book is a day to day list of simple mental exercises to help rewire your thoughts and build up your own self worth.
Rebecca O'Donnell is an abuse survivor who began treating her own self hatred as an addiction. These are some of the daily self esteem exercises she used to help heal herself. "I was as low as you can go; a suicidal self harming basketcase with two failed marriages, no job and no prospects. But with these exercises, I began to heal. I'm now my own best friend, my own soulmate. The difference is astonishing. If a dejected train wreck like me can learn to love herself, you can too."
I used to be an abused, suicidal insecurity addict basketcase. Now I'm a happy insecurity addict basketcase who wrote a memoir so others can learn from my dumb mistakes.
I'm going to be honest, I wouldn't count most of these as "exercises". Most of them are affirmations, personal stories, and some of them... were weird. "My slice and dice self-harmers," ...excuse me? What? 1/5 Stars - not very good
