Wesley’s sister Georgie wants him to play drums for her dance recital. But Wesley is scared. What if he messes up. Georgie tells him it is ok to mess up, but he’s still scared. So they decide to pretend they are ninjas which helps Wesley. They pretend they need to drum together to wake up a giant family turned to stone before a volcano gets them.

There’s some good messages in here about not needing to be perfect and realistically thinking about how bad is it really to mess up during a recital. Not bad really! (Which is easy to say and hard to believe.) The imaginative part of the story is very imaginative and gets a little intense so know the reader you hand this too.
