The story is fast-paced and filled with engaging sequences. I hope that Nihar Bhonsule works on the character's development and editing a little better in the future. However, the plot is intriguing and unique. I would love to read the second part, hoping we know more about Arjuna's Gandiva and the history of the Dharmayodhas. I recommend this book to Indian fantasy readers.

The Path of Sushmaloka by Nihar Bhonsule is a mythological fiction, and believe me when I say, it is one of the best Indian fantasy novel I have read in recent years.

I have got a lot to say; so let’s begin the review:

The book starts in 3102 BC, when two Dharmayodhas are fighting the Rakshasas. The Existence has fallen prey to evil forces and Harshwardhan and his team have to fight back to prevent the catastrophe.

Fast forward to the present; Prithvi Sen, our young protagonist has no idea that he is special. He believes he has an illness, something really peculiar, but never in a hundred years would he have imagined that he is meant to save the world. Then there’s Gopal, a tragedy stricken boy who lost his family when he was really young. And guess what? He’s related to Prithvi. And our villain.

The book is stupefying. The moment I started reading it, I did not want to leave it unfinished. It was just so good, the story absolutely captivating and adventurous, I loved it all of it.

I must say, when an author is building a fantasy world from scratch; it should be properly explained. In The Path of Sushmaloka, Nihar Bhonsule has paid attention to every small detail. Nothing was left behind. What I loved the most about the book were the character details.

I love it when an author takes the effort to shape a character’s life, the history, the complete background. Who likes a story with no character depth anyway? So yes, as I was saying, even the antagonist’s background is so detailed; I felt attached to even him. Is that normal or there’s something wrong with me?

The end was so thrilling; I literally got goosebumps. A salute to the author for crafting such a wonderful story. And yes, something I should have mentioned right at the beginning, the cover of the book is absolutely gorgeous. It is the complete essence of the book. It is one of those covers that makes sense only after you have finished the book! Okay, I will stop raving about the cover.

Coming to what could have been done better. First, the editing. The book is so amazing and it will be saddening if someone doesn’t like it because it has grammatical errors. The story deserves so much better! I ask the author to please look into it.

Secondly; there’s nothing else.

Except for the editing part, I loved it all. Highly recommended to all mythological readers; I know you’ll adore it!

My fascination with Indian mythology and folklore gravitated me towards this book. I must admit I was surprised after reading.

To begin with, it starts of with an action-packed and fast-paced chapter that has a dystopian, live- apocalyptic setting and suddenly introduce magical concepts like Sukshmaloka, which is somewhat like an astral dimension.

The book then continues with the story of how all of the destruction began and how a monstrous society of Rakshasas succeeded in seizing existence. Then on, the book had me completely! What I really loved were the different points of view and how multiple stories of different characters entwined. This book lives up to the 'Literary Fantasy' genre and really had me blown!

The Path of Sukshmaloka by Nihar Bhonsule is a fantasy fiction that takes references from Indian mythology and serves an intriguing plot to the readers. It picks concepts from the past and applies them to the contemporary context to weave a thrilling plot that follows humans in the supernatural world.

It kickstarts with a fight between the two Dharmayodhas and Rakshasas in 3102 BC. The former need to put all their energy into restoring peace where mayhem has prevailed. Then we are introduced to a young college boy, Prithvi, and his archaeologist father, Ravi. And in parallel to this, we come across Gopal, a young boy, who is estranged from his mother and left out in the wilderness to fend for himself.

The lives of these different people come together in unbelievable ways and that creates thrill and magic for the readers.

I liked the central plot and how it attempts to bring together different worlds. The world-building is slow and interesting. I loved how the concepts of Sthribudhi and Maleentwama come alive and add to the adventure in the story. The characters are, again, interesting but would have appreciated it if they had more to themselves. There are too many and it can get difficult for one to lose track amidst the action and adventure.

The writing is easy but does have some fascinating expressions to create an effect. That was a great thing as this adds to the fun part of reading this book. There is coherence and good handling of parallel worlds simultaneously. Also, the cover is well-done. It complements the book perfectly. In the atmosphere of the fight of good against evil and nauseating deja vu accompanied by action, The Path of Sukshmaloka is a good pick if you are into Indian fantasy fiction.

The book could have been better in terms of editing conversations, narratives, and analysis. Sometimes, it appears things are dragged, leading to nowhere. I believe that author would certainly look into this in future editions.

This is an amazing book inspired from the Indian mythology and history. I love the fact that the author has taken an initiative of bringing back the mythological touch through these new tales.
The plot begins with the background of the book, taking us back to 3102 BC where the dark and evil forces have attacked and the existence of good is doubtful. But the Dharmayodhas use their powers to the fullest extent to protect against the evil spirits and they believe they will win.
Coincidentally, we are brought back to the reality where a boy named, Prithvi Sen who is just like any ordinary guy in his adolesce. Since he was a kid he used to suffer from a mysterious disease. This disease was under control yet he felt that this wasn't cure, there was more to it.
There's a connection but how?
I won't gie you any spoiler here but this is a magical and action filled well paced book. The narration of the book is good. The language used is lucid. The words selection is simple and easy making it a comfortable read.

Mythology is my all time favourite genre and so after reading the blurb I was sure to read this one.
The book revolves around two different events that too in different timelines. One event goes back 3000 years ago from Mahabharata, the Great Indian Historical Event. And other is from current times when the Dustman is fighting against the Evil.

Now there's our main Protagonist Prithvi Sen, who has been suffering from a plagued uncanny disease, on medication he is doing fine but there are many unexpected events waiting for him.

It's very appealing and thrilling to know how Prithvi, Dustman and Dharmayodhas have connections altogether.
You'll also see mentions of Shree Krishna and Harshwardhan the leader of Dharmayodhas.

Overall, this book filled with twists and turns, all the mythological narration along with present events make a complete package of a Interesting story. You are pushed to imagine all the events and feel those while reading the book. And that's where the Author has been successful while portraying the story.

What I liked-

~ Beautiful artistic cover and suitable title.

~ Narration that was simple yet so effective.

~ This book was not just a normal read but it was a thrilling action filled journey.

~ The two timelines were very well portrayed with strong character development.

A story that starts in 3102 BC where the Dharamyodhas were fighting against the Rakshas, much like the heroes combating the villains to protect the city and its people. But much to their dismay, Dharamyodhas lose the battle and the story moves forward leaping thousands of centuries. It takes its readers to the present in Mumbai where abnormal things are happening to the young protagonist, Prithvi Sen, but he couldn't quite decipher the cause for it. Prithvi and the people around him believe that he is ill or is suffering from some abnormality but little do they know that the idiosyncratic Prithvi will save the world someday.

The story is utterly mysterious and intriguing and leaves little to no space for the readers to be swayed with it. The mythological setting makes it more fascinating while the fantasy plot adds up to curiousness for readers. There were some issues with the editing here and there but overall i really enjoyed the story.

The story then moves to the distant past in 3102 BC, where India is facing destruction by a mystical cult of crocodile-men. This destruction is retorted to by a glorious sect of Mahabharata’s, unknown, ex-warriors who have been blessed with boons from an obscure, divine energy. Their leader, Guruji Harshwardhana feels that their boons are enough to defeat the dark forces, until he realises about an important missing object that is in their hands. What is that object?
I loved how the story gained momentum at every turn of the page adding twists to its stride. Little did we know, an adventurous journey of Prithvi that lies ahead. With a descriptive narration and crisp writing style, the author takes us to a world unknown to us. I loved how creatively the author used Sanskrit words throughout the story.

The Path of Sukshmloka by Nihar Bhonsule is a mythological fiction, and believe me when I say, it is one of the best Indian fantasy novel I have read in recent years.

Three timelines run parallely.
The story starts with rakshasas devoring every living being in the distant future. Another clan with the dust man and the street archer
poured my blood, sweat, and tears to bring back balance. Will they loose hope before the prophecy about the alpha and weeping out his progency comes true? Shall they wait or search for the one?

It takes us back to 3120 BC when Mahabharata took place. It doesn't begin with a good note as at that time negativity prevailed in larger area. This book will surely be the perfect feast for the imagination and even if you are not good at imagining this book will make you do so as the story will look even more beautiful when we do so.

The Path of Sukshmaloka is a fascinating book containing elements of both fantasy and mythology. It has two narrations running parallely, set in different time periods. This book is fast paced and action packed. The author's imagination has resulted in an excellent plot. Though the book is not a short read but as it's quite engaging, you will complete it sooner than you expect. Like many other great books, this one too has a protagonist who is the chosen one yet you will not find it a copy of any of the best sellers and thoroughly enjoy this unique and interesting tale. There are some issues with the editing due to which you will find minor errors but if that is ignored, it is an excellent book to read.

It's a great read. Sukshmaloka is a fascinating dimension. The Dharmayodha storyline had me awestruck and wondering whether they actually exist! The ending is so power-packed, it had me wanting more. I'm really happy!

This is one very unique and interesting fantasy book that I have read in a long time.

Now, I have seen many reviews and was guided to the amazon link with a sponsored ad which I found very interesting.

After reading this book I realized that it is work that is very diverse and not something any average reader may be able seclude in any one genre. While that is a very strong statement. I want to assert that for this book, The Path of Sukshmaloka, it works in both, a bad way and a good way, which I will elaborate further.

Firstly, before I begin, I'd like to assert that I found this book to be a slow burn. Now, ofcourse, I could be wrong as I see a lot of reviews admiring the pace. But as a reader who frequently reads short, digestible books I found the pace a tad bit slow? but then again, I could be wrong.

The book on the whole was great. I loved the concept and the characters a lot. What I loved throughout the book the most, was the mood of seriousness. The world created and the events that unfold have a realistic sense of tangibility and seriousness for the reader. Not to mention, the profound icons like the ball of light and the magical mudra (coin). I also enjoyed the intricately woven connection of the books events to the Mahabharata and Lord Krishna, who is a very supreme deity in Hinduism. Also one of the reasons why I feel this book in parts also explores the territories of religious fantasy may be? But then again, I wouldn't go too far with that claim as the plot is balanced between several sub genres of fantasy which makes a very interesting foundation for this book.

Characters : Prithvi Sen, the protagonist was really good as a lead. Generally to speak all superhero fiction has heroes that are little too superficial and that's whats not the case here. The hero, Prithvi is very relatable and believable. At moments, so much that you may even end up flying in a rage with his actions, which is really commendable as these things talk of good story telling on the authors part.

Harshwardhana, who you can call a secondary protagonist is also immensely intense and well designed. Not to mention, his role as a Dharmayodha and the battle against the Crocodillians.

Villains: There are handful of villains here. The most vicious and dangerous one being Sarpa, who is the BIG BAD in this book and one of the most sinister and dangerous ones. Mukesh Mehra too is extremely deadly and the unspeakable evil deeds he commits in his back story even gave me chills days after reading the book.

Crux/Main Conflict: The main highlight and one of the most profound things about this book is its main conflict. The whole battle of awareness against deception. The rising of consciousness over the ignorance that our current urban world is living in. Its also immense how both sides, the heroes and villains strive hard to meet their goals in the story. Also this crux is where the primary genre of the book can be seen coming alive, which is dark fantasy. This is mainly because, the villains can be seen getting way ahead in furthering their schemes while the heroes are stuck in their own character struggles.

Character archs: There are many in the book. This at times, with the non-linear narrative makes it tough to keep track of the story, but at the same time it adds more layer and dept to the novel. So its something I found to be both good and bad.

Climax: 10/10. This is where I award the path of sukshmaloka full marks. The finale gave me goosebumps and answered all the questions the plot had asked, leaving no lose ends.

What could have been better:

Editing: I am not sure how the book was edited. But the editors seemed to have messed up the flow of writing. The editing didn't do justice to the authors brilliant storytelling.

Verdict:

All in all, The Path of Sukshmaloka is a great initiative in the indie dark fantasy genre. It has a very unique plot and elements that have never been done before by any one and something that every fantasy reader will surely get amazed reading. Not to mention it is also very cinematic and great for a series/film adaptation.

Crafting a world, far from the present reality and into the realms of fantasy is indeed a difficult genre to work upon. And then, breathing life into that fantasy world showcases the real calibre of an author. Nihar Bhonsule, introduces us to his fantasy world through his debut novel, The Path of Sukshmaloka. I won’t mind calling his work synonymous to many great works on fantasy; be it the subject matter of good versus evil, the hounding dark forces, and the good ones falling prey to the dark forces and the list goes on. In the world of English Literature, the fantasy lovers are inadvertently drawn towards Avengers series; Captain America or Iron Man, who have supernatural powers to combat with the evils. Or, there are Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter series which could draw an impenetrable image for a fantasy world so beautiful that it became a preferred reality for many. The Path to Sukshmaloka will take us very close to our childhood reads of Chandamama series and the famous TV series, Shaktimaan. This book of super-heroism is like a platter of Indian fantasy world.
The book starts in a distant future in Mumbai, where the humankind is shown to be won over by the Rakshashas. The city is battered and every corner is latched with evil forces. The super-hero character, Dust Man is exhausted and feels trapped in an irrevocable loop of fighting the hordes for millions of years now. As a backdrop, the storyline travails back to the era of Mahabharata where Dharmayodhas, the followers of good, have been defeated by the evil creatures of Maleentwama. Like any other fantasy novel, there happens an Akaashvaani where the future prospects are declared. A saviour has been pre-decided to rescue the humankind of the future. The author borrows the essence of Indian Mythology and integrates it with his imagination and unleashes a wonderful tale, tied tightly within a span of two different eras. In the present time, the protagonist is Prithvi Sen, the reincarnated soul who is muddled, for the tiny events of his past/ previous life keeps hovering within. A constant nauseating sense of Déjà vu keeps haunting him until one day he realizes his true being. The story goes to and fro, under various timelines, with a medley of characters and slowly the loose ends get tightened in the process.
The storyline is well scripted and makes a good plot for screen adaptation as well; however there exist a big room for improvement. And the room, I would allot to the editor involved. Lucid language and well scripted flow of storytelling; Nihar Bhonsule can become the silhouette of Anand Neelakantan, provided a good editing hand comes to his rescue. In short, the book is hardly edited. No flaw in linguistic terms; and the credit for that goes entirely to the author. But, editor has repeatedly shirked away from his/her duty. Elaboration of situations, depiction of the scenery at the back and all is acceptable to some extent but prolonged analysis spoils the reading flow. Plot twists, dialogue deliveries are not edited suitably.
It is a fast paced read. Characters are believable and enticing in chorus. The author has tried his best to describe the scenes and proceedings but there again I would say, a good editing could have given this book a far more palatable outlook. If 4 starts are given, it is entirely for the writer for crafting a beautiful tale. Book cover is designed well and gives the feel of a fantasy novel. Overall, if the flawed editing is ignored, this book is a good read for all fantasy lovers who are willing to see a fantasy world through an Indian lens.

This is a very very interesting book I have read in recent times. What intrigued me about this book was only that ball of light which is in the cover and also the several good reviews I have seen on Amazon and out here.

Not to mention the hype about it, which made me wonder whether it all is true. To answer that question is a yes and even a no.

Yes, because The Path of Sukshmaloka is something different. The author has ventured into many new territories to break the boundaries and moulds that border fiction and fantasy and has succeeded to a great extend at telling a very memorable story. No, because atleast for me, it does tend to get a bit heavy at times as I dont know much about certain topics that the book is losely based on, like the passing of Krishna etc.

But whats phenomenal about this book is that it takes ordinariness and processes it into something phenomenal and never-done-before. At heart this book is a dark fantasy and will give it 100/100 for enclosing that boundary. Within that boundary The Path Of Sukshmaloka, does traverse and tactfully so, into thematic elements of horror, crime, conspiracy, drama, urban fantasy and so on. Character development is the major highlight of this book. The author uses exceptional storytelling techniques that slowly work as intro to the character and the world of the book. Another marvelous observation about it is, the scope of the timelines and how the author has very carefully and intricately woven it all together leaving no loopholes.

(SPOILER WARNING!)

I loved Prithvi Sen. He is by far one of the most multi-dimensional protagonists I have read of in inde fantasy. His existential crisis, was very relatable for me and took me back to my days of youth. The sub-plot of other protagonist Gopal is also extremely gritty, touching and etched out with finesse.

The world building and magical laws are well-presented and complex, but some re-reading makes them simple to understand. Harshawardhana is remniscient of a true war-hero, and his crisis too is deeply intriguing along with his multi-layered character arc.

The plot of this story is vast. I found there to initially be a series plot, which is introduced and then preceded by the plot of the book. The ending of The Path of Sukshmaloka is the most powerful ending I have read of in recent times.

The book bears tremendous potential to hold its own verse as a commercial film like may be the Star Wars, to which it has been compared and even to films like They Live, which I found it resemble in certain ways. In a market of the Indian book industry, where stereotypes are dominating the market and where myth has become a prime focus, Nihar tells a very memorable story in the Dark fantasy genre integrating sub-genres very skillfully and telling a tale that is all the way unique, palpable, action-packed, character-driven and very multi-layered.

When your done reading this, you feel that superb sense of having experienced a world and then exited it, learning a lot of new things that add to your perspective your spiritual wisdom as a human being.

This is a great book and would do superbly well as a feature film or netflix series.

"Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope"

Do you believe in superheroes? I still remember that I was in 6 std when I visited a movie hall for the first time, it was for SUPERMAN. I am grateful to Shaktimaan for introducing me to this fantasy world of superpowers.

This book narrates the stories of Prithvi and Dust Man. Prithivi is a college-going boy. I think, like Prithivi, everyone is suffering from an illness where we are not aware of our real strength/efficiency/superpowers.

Let's board the time machine, to visit "Year 3102", Rakshasha took control of the city and our hero DUST MAN is fighting against them so that enemy will taste the dust in the battle!

"Stories of imagination tend to upset those without one"

Nihar Bhonsule has spent years of his life in coffee shops and libraries reading through the epic Mahabharata and decoding the various metaphors to discover the deeper philosophy and way of life embedded in the text.

Coming back to the book, it's a combination of Crispy Narrative, Beautiful Plot, Filled with various twists and turns to engage you, and a pinch of Mahabharata also.

Recently in the year 2020, I have just started to discover this genre of mythology which I didn’t try before thinking the stories would boring and all but to my surprise all the 4-5 books which I have read based on this are so amazingly impactful. Before starting this book I had the same feeling and I am a lot more than just pleased.

We get a dystopian era in the story where the Rakshasas are on this mission of putting the inhabitants into the ashes and two heroes named the dust-man and street archer are leading the fight to defeat them. On the other hand when the story backwords to 3102 BC we get to see the Dharmayodhaas who are trying with all their power to protect The Sanatan Dharma. Now the story portrays today’s world where a 20 years old boy Prithvi seems to have a disease but to his as well as to the reader’s shock he contains the power to save humankind. Later we also meet Gopal who is considered to be the villain. So basically three different fights to save humankind are shown in the story and the extreme beauty is in seeing how the author blends the story and how the characters are developed most strongly.

I don’t know if I have enough vocabulary to accurately express how I am feeling after finishing the book. I am so overwhelmed; it’s like I have read something too mystical to write in words and the plot, the storyline, the narration, the characters- everything just bedazzled me to life. Every character is taken care of in a way that I saw them highlighting in every part of the book. I can compare this book with many popular thrillers even though it was not one properly because it’s so good at creating perplexity. The author has woven the plots very mindfully and the references of Mahabharata I have received here show the clarity that the book is well researched. This book is mighty, heroic as well as thrilling, and informative. I am overjoyed to read this genuinely worthy content after a while; highly recommending this book to all my fellow readers.

My love for reading is largely credited to mythical fictions. I grew up reading books based on Greek myths, and wondering if there are books based on Indian myths. Well, here is one! Path of Suksmaloka by Nihar Bhonsule is a mythological fiction. It is based in the time after the war of Mahabharat in Kurukshetra and Sri Krishna's death. Author has woven absolutely amazing action packed thriller with three timelines running parallelly.
The book begins in the dystopian future, with Mumbai in ruins and run-over by Rakshasas. Two mysterious super heroes- Dust Man and Street Archer are making their way through the hordes of Rakshasas to get to the Alpha Rakshas- and kill him.
Next we go back in the past to 3102 BC when the war has ended, Krishna is dead and demons are on the rise. The only people standing between the Rakshasas are the Dharmayodhas and their guru Harshawardhan.
Next, in the present day we see the stories of Prithvi Sen and Gopal. Both of them struggle in their own ways and find themselves on opposite sides of the line that differentiates good from bad. These characters have been written beautifully, and you will find yourself connecting to Gopal despite him being the antagonist.
The book's subtle message is that there will always be an on going war between positivity (spirituality) and negativity; and the only ay to win this war is by working on ourselves and not letting the negativity take over you.
My only complaint being- the book starts off incredibly difficult to follow. It took me a while to figure out what the Sukshmaloka was and why it was giving orders, what Shtirbuddhi and Maleentwama were, etc. So don't make the mistake I made, read the glossary before starting the book.
All in all, the book is a nice read and does not disappoint. My ratings:
Creativity- 5/5
Character development- 3/5
Mythical References- 5/5
Overall rating: 4/5

😱THE PATH OF SUKSHMALOKA😱
By NIHAR BHONSULE

When I first heard of the book I was a bit apprehensive for a few reasons.

☑️I'm not a fan of Indian mythology, but I started to adore Greek mythology and I'm mindly intrested in Egyptian but Indian mythology never appealed to me.

☑️The Indian market is full of books written by authors who come from fields which are completely un related to Literature.

☑️I'm not going to say that the book blew me off completely and that I was left gasping for breath, but it did give me a few pleasant surprises.

🖊️I liked the way the characters developed through the book , instead of giving away the full magnitude of each character's personality at their very introduction let them unfold throughout the book one by one like the many layers of a cake. Almost all characters grew through the book, blossoming slowly to reveal themselves as complex human beings, not just cardboard cut outs.

🖊️Prithvi Sen, our protagonist, he is gifted he thought that he has some severe illness, but he never imagined that he is meant to save the world. There are many unexpected events waiting for him.

🖊️This has a back story it starts in 3102 BC, where the Dharamyodhas were fighting against the Rakshas, it is much like the heroes wage war against the Villains to protect the city and mankind. To our surprise here Dharamyodhas fall short and the story pressing on from leaping millennium. I am gonna stop spoilling here.

🖊️Story is utterly mysterious and intriguing and leaves little to no space for the readers to be swayed with it. The mythological setting makes it more fascinating. Thanks to @ for this astonishing book.

🖊️This book is considered as a dark fantasy myth by me for a reason. And I just wanted to Say that this is gorgeous. Please BUY IT!!! Promise that it'll look as AMAZING on your shelves as it does on mine! ☺️

Path of Sukshmaloka book by Nihar Bhonsule is a fierce Mythological fantasy fiction that is a gripper read for all fantasy fiction lovers.
This book travels around two different timelines. One is around the time of 3102 BC and another timeline sticks around the contemporary period of the current world.
The storyline starts with the Dystopian Mumbai ruins. The city is under the control of the monstrous Rakshasas. “The Dustman” and “street Archer” are superheroes who try to protect the city from the Monsters. So, they fight through the hordes of Rakshasas to kill Alpha rakshas.
Will they be able to succeed in fighting the head weight rakshas?
The time of 3120 BC revolves around the phase after the Mahabharata war and Krishna’s death. During this time there is a turbulent rise of Demons. The true warriors “Dharmoyodhas and guru Harshawardhan” fight against Demon Maleentwama and tries to protect the last gift from Krishna.
Will they be able to fight these demons and protect the precious gift from Lord Krishna?
On the contemporary timeline, our protagonist Prithvi Sen suffers from an incurable disease for a long time. He kept fighting his dejavus for a long time, but to the least of his knowledge, He got some tremendous powers to Save the world.
Will Prithvi Sen realize his true self which will lead him to his destiny?

Overall, it’s a good Indian mythological fantasy fiction with a nice plot and structure. A few extra editing efforts could have brought the book to the next level. I loved the author’s creativity and imagination blend with our mythology which brought in a great inculcation of the storyline.
So I recommend this book to all mythology fantasy fiction lovers.

After reading the story of The Path of Sukshmaloka by Nihar Bhonsule I came to realise that this book is not merely meant for reading entertainment but the story has beautiful life lessons inscribed inside an intriguing mytho blended fantasy plot but also it made md contemplate about the concept of the soul transition and time. The book starts in 3102 BC, when two Dharmayodhas are fighting the Rakshasas. The Existence has fallen prey to evil forces and Harshwardhan and his team have to fight back to prevent the catastrophe. The book is stupefying. The story reels back to three thousand B.C. where a warrior looses his only son when a demon nests inside his soul. The Dharmayodhaas are trying to protect the last gift of Krishna: The Sanatan Dharma. While he feels defeated he is instructed to take a strange action. The moment I started reading it, I did not want to leave it unfinished. It was just so good, the story absolutely captivating and adventurous, I loved it all of it.The book also packs in a lot of the realism and diverse perspective to the plot, with weather reports, newspaper articles, police reports and journal entries. You may find it difficult to connect to the story in the first few chapters but later the magic awaits.

" The Path of Sukshmaloka" by author Nihar Bhonsule is a indian mythology. It starts with fight to protect lives from evil demons. This book revolves around two different events that too in different timelines. One event goes back 3000 years ago from Mahabharata and the second in the present time which tell the story of a ordinary boy who suffering from an disease to which his battling childhood and the worst is yet to come.

This is an amazing story about our Indian culture and myths. it is one of the best Indian fantasy novel I have read in recent years. The narration style of the author is awesome. I really appreciate his efforts to collect the details of the history for the book. He wrote everything with detailed explanation. The characters are good and some if them carries the missery throughout the plot. There are lot of twists and turns throughout the plot and it helps to catch the readers attention. Trust me, it is true that this book was so amazing that it took my whole 5 hours continously to complete it with one sit . The cover is the first impression about this book. It is absolutely gorgeous.

coming back to the technical side of this book; The usage of language is simple and lucid. But the theme and the other parts of historical contents are not at all simple as like the language. It take lot of times for me to understand. The grammar and editing is not at all good there are lot of works need in this section. Otherwise it is a complete package of entertainment.

Overall a good read and I highly recommended this book to all mythological readers. Pick up this book and give a read.

The author transports the reader to another planet with a combination of mythology and imagination. The plot of the narrative was fantastic. It's thrilling and full of surprises.

The story begins in a dystopian Mumbai, where a secret race of Rakshasas is eating the city and its residents, with two mythical heroes dubbed ‘The Dust-Man' and ‘Street Archer' attempting to battle them.

The heroes are on the hunt for an Alpha Rakshasa who is to blame for the threat, but nothing is disclosed. The rest of the story then takes on a lovely, disjointed narrative to help you piece the plot together like a riddle. The plot then shifts to the far past in 3102 BC, when India is threatened by a mysterious cult of crocodile-men. This destruction is met with retaliation from a magnificent sect of Mahabharata's mysterious ex-warriors who have been bestowed with boons from an enigmatic, heavenly force.

Guruji Harshwardhana, their commander, believes that their boons are sufficient to overcome the evil powers, until he discovers a crucial missing artefact in their possession. What exactly is that object? I liked how the tale gathered pace with each page flip, adding twists to its stride. We had no idea what an exciting adventure Prithvi had in store for us. The author transports us to an unfamiliar realm with his detailed narration and sharp writing style. I liked how the author employed Sanskrit terms in unusual ways throughout the tale.

With weather reports, newspaper articles, police records, and diary entries, the book adds a lot of reality and diversity to the storey. You may struggle to connect with the tale in the first few pages, but the magic awaits you later.

FAB - BOOK REVIEW OF "Path of Sukshmaloka" by Nihar Bhonsule.

Rating: 4/5

QOTD: Have you ever read any books by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni? If yes, then what's your favorite one?
AOTD: I have just read one book of hers, and I love it, and it is none other than "The Forest of Enchantments."

"Path of Sukshmaloka," written by Nihar Bhonsule, is a beautiful book that takes you to another world. One of those books will make you feel so happy and not just make you feel proud for being a reader. Yes, there are a few books that will make the readers proud of being readers. If they aren't one they couldn't feel and read that masterpiece, this book is one of the many masterpieces in the world.
.
Well, coming to the book review, this book is a blend of mythology and fantasy. It is set in three timelines, one when the Demons engulfed the lives of the humans where there were only toe being left were there being a clan of dustman and the street archer to fight with them.
The second timeline was in the 3102BC when the Dharmayodhas were fighting with the demons to save the last gift of Krishna. The story moves on to the present time, about a 20 years old guy Prithvi Sen around whom the story builds.
.
The first and foremost thing is that the story's execution is perfect, and the character development was so amazingly done. No matter which genre you read the most, this book has a unique vibe, and the best part is it's so beautifully written. Though there were three parallel timelines, there was no confusion for the reader, and it's because the writing was so clear. Absolutely recommended.

"The Path of Sukshmaloka" is a fantasy fiction book. Intelligent and imaginary in its approach but contemporary in its setting with all invariably Rakshasa, there's destruction and the world must be saved! Surprisingly here all these happen in the modern world of today. Genius! All these is sensorially overloaded with mysterious, darker forces, evils, modernity, myths and what not. And it's all worth it. It creates the perfect illusion in the mind of reader and also simultaneously keeping it subtly real to be believable.

The matured writing and impactful twist and turns clearly depicts it's written be some experienced author and the charm has only increase. The story has all of my favourite ingredients, folktale, mythology, mystery, thrill and of course romance. Author has crafted an excellent tale. The serves up a good twist during the climatic portion too. One that fits perfectly with the theme.
It's a gripping tale with an interesting plot filled with twist that will make the reader curious. It's a tale blended with folktale and mystery that will make you think.

The book creates perfect illusion on the mind of reader and also simultaneously keeping it subtly real to be believable. It's sincere and heartfelt as it gets raw and messy. It's neat but thrilling. Until the final, it will pierce your heart the way it should. The dialogue and narration boast with lyricism that the story demands. Though the book is one worth reading credits to the heft and sort of quite wisdom.

Book:- The Path of Sukshmaloka
Author:- Nihar Bhonsule
Genre:- Fiction
Format:- Kindle
Rating:- ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

The book is divided into 20 chapters. Each chapter deals with Mythology and Indian History. Fight between Rakshashas and Dharmyodhas are very well explained in the book. That's the unerasble history of Mahabharata. Lord Krishna's father assists Pandavas to win the battle thereby establishing "Dharma".

Prithvi Sen is the protagonist of the storyline. The story showcases a sudden turning point in the storyline. Prithvi Sen is ignorant of his post life. He continuously thinks who's he. Will he be able to know himself? Will he defeat the demons and eliminate the evil'?

The author has very marvellously jotted down events dated back to three thousand years ago from Mahabharata.

The second half of the storyline reflects the present time narrating the story of an ordinary boy disease-prone. Will the child face more adverse situation in battling against the disease?

Indian culture and myths are the two main factors discussed in the book. The writing style of the author is marvelous. Plot is accompanied with various twists and turns.

The grammar, language and book cover are quite professional. Quite a place, the author has used Sanskrit words. Modern generation must know the history and the golden past!

Overall the book is a good read and I highly recommended this book to the modern generation. You will come to know how and why was our past in glorious not a mete myth.

Thank You.
Happy Reading 📚

A very very interesting and engaging yet fast pacing read of different eras.
This is a not one way story which will go on. The story goes on in three different parts of history and time. Bit atlast they all tied into one tie and burst the light of reality.
At one part the rakhsas has attacked the city and destroying everything around the city. And has jide in the dark area. Dust man is trying his hard to save the city. It's seems like war has been started to destroy sthirbuddhi. A war is going between sthirbuddhi and Maleentwama. Who will win between them?
The street archer is with Dust man from saving the world from the Maleentwama and save the gift?
Are they gonna succeed in it?

Another one is going on the ancient part of the history. Where the attackers were ready to attack the guru harshawardhan and are going to take rhe gift of Krishna from them? Is there going to be a war Between them?

A twenty year old boy Prithivi is struggling from different horrors of his life. Totally devasted of his life but he doesn't know that he is the saver of the world.
Some ties are closely knitted. After every page and every part. The ties are unfolding one by one. Every chapter has something to say on it's own.

After everything there ia a string connected every story with each other which is the light sukhsmaloka.
It's been guiding one for everyone. What is it ?
How it guides every stages of life?
Why the name of the book is like this?
What is the connection between these eras?
A lots of riddles are going to be solved after reading this book

I won’t mind calling his work synonymous to many great works on fantasy; be it the subject matter of good versus evil, the hounding dark forces, and the good ones falling prey to the dark forces and the list goes on. Plot twists, dialogue deliveries are not edited suitably.
It is a fast paced read. Characters are believable and enticing in chorus. The author has tried his best to describe the scenes and proceedings but there again I would say, a good editing could have given this book a far more palatable outlook.Slowly it glides to the present day world with a 20 year old Prithvi possessing some abnormalities as others think he is a psycho. Deep inside he feels his true self will one day shoot out into a vigorous regurgitation. The world simultaneously is taken over by corruption, murder and evil actions like our world.
All these times are linked by a timeless voice of Sukshmaloka carrying deeper meanings as the war of Shthirbuddhi and Maleentwama continues in all timelines.
