I really loved this book! It was super calming. Something about the way it is laid out just feels like anyone with anxiety would be able to pick it up and feel some sense of gentle grounding and safety. It helps to bring that logic and calm mind back when it can feel like a hurricane. Love it!

I don’t recommend many self aware/selfhelp books, but this is one of those that should be on everyone’s nightstand.

I've been following Amber Rae on social media for a few years now, so I know that Amber Rae's writing prompts and advice mesh with my personal style of reflection.

Like every self-help book, not everything in this book will be relevant to you, and even Amber brings it up in her introduction when she talks about using this book exactly how you need to, even if it's just jumping to the various sections that you want to explore. I've been feeling a bit restless recently and I love to journal, so I decided that I was going to read this book cover-to-cover and journal for each of the prompts that she brought up.

There's a lot of interesting ideas explored here that I haven't seen before, even as a fan of Amber's. I found myself bookmarking various sections that I know I want to come back to explore further one day. About 20 pages in my journal and almost all the ink in one of my gel pens later, I find myself more assured about which direction I want to move in, which is exactly what I wanted from this book.

Thank you to St. Martin's Press, St. Martin's Essentials, and NetGalley for the ARC.

Honestly what a marvelous read to start the new year.

This is the time of reflection, yet foresight.

The Answers Are Within You is perfect on audio with creative sound mixing other audiobooks could aspire to.

Read by the author this book contains personal, yet applicable inspiring tidbits for any reader.

Although I read it all in one go, this would serve well as a sort of daily devotional to get yourself into a space of open awareness for the day ahead.

Perfect for fans of Big Magic, this little book may provide the insight you are craving.

Thank-you NetGalley for this ALC!

**I RECIEVED AN ARC FROM THE PUBLISHER IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW**

This book is all about choosing wonder over worry and the book highlights the most effective and best ways to reach inner peace. I love the advice she gives because it's things we already know but never really took the chance to act on them. This book really was the slap in the face wake up call I needed to be the change I deserved and needed for myself. I have a long way to go to be able to be free but I'm willing to put in the effort and see change. I really recommend this book to everyone. Amber Rae really is an inspiring writer. Can't wait to check out her other work!

She writes. She illustrates. She inspires. Amber Rae has a following for those that are looking for a new way of thinking that brings joy into their life.

She says, "The reason we seek the answers outside is because we don't know how to access them from within." She writes about how to find inspiration, compassion, trust and strength in your day-to-day life. The book comes with illustrations that reinforces how one can unlock the creativity inside. She notes that one can read this book page-by-page or simply pick a page that inspires.

This book presents a soft approach on helping people that need a boost in life. Amber Rae is an enthusiastic 36 years old on social media and it feel like she's addressing the needs of those that are young who are looking for creative ways of making a living.

She makes some unrealistic goals such as "Live life on your terms when someone tells you how to live your life." It's complicated when you have jobs, families and responsibilities to simply change your path when things get tough. She says: "Observe emotions from a distance" Sure, it's nicely said; hard to do. It's like Marie Condo telling book lovers that they should only have 30 printed copies in their homes. Some things are good suggestions but simply not possible.

A few of her messages were repeated from her last book, "Choose Wonder Over Worry," when she says, "Don't die with your gifts inside." She adds a quote from Todd Henry's book, "Die Empty." It says, "In the graveyard are buried all the unwritten novels, never-launched businesses, unreconciled relationships, and all the other things that people thought, 'I'll get to that tomorrow.' One day however, their tomorrows ran out." Rae's book references other inspirational gurus and she includes some personal stories.

If this book helps people, then that's a good thing. She says that people pick up books like this for a reason. Maybe there's a message inside that can help them.

My thanks to Amber Rae, St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for allowing me to read this copy with an expected release date of January 18, 2022.

This is such an encouraging book! The Answers Are Within You is just the right amount of sweet, reflective, and thought-provoking. You could pick up the book, let it fall open to a random page, and most likely, there'll be something there that you would need to hear. I bookmarked so many pages to save for future reference. Rae created the kind of self-help book I most enjoy: short snippets, journal/thought prompts, beautiful quote imagery, and pages that feel like a kind, wise friend is trying to encourage you to be the best possible human you can be.

Recommended for you if you love sharing encouraging quotes on instagram, like to be introspective, or want something that will both perk you up and make you want to be your best self.

Thank you to Netgalley and St. Martin's Press for the e-ARC.

Amber Rae has created a lovely little book here. The illustrations really stood out for me. I enjoyed the presentation- little bites of advice and ideas, each with a graphic. I bookmarked so many of them, with the intent to revisit them through time. Easily digestible with solid advice.

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for providing me with an ARC.

This book of wisdom can help you avoid overwhelm and live with more intention. The book is succinct enough that you can reread it, or a section of it, to get perspective whenever life is particularly challenging. The ebook and print versions contain cute visuals to help focus the message, but I also appreciated the audiobook. I prefer to listen so I can multitask. It's narrated by the author, and she does a good job.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

The Answers Are Within You gives readers the opportunity to take in short, meaningful and visual thoughts in a book format. Imagine the things you love about a helpful Instagram account, but having it in a book, instead of on a distracting app or phone. That's what I took away from this book!

While I enjoyed this book in digital format, I feel it would be presented best in a print copy. Ideally, I would love to keep a print copy by my bedside, to read a chapter a day before bed or at the day's start. This book would make a wonderful gift for someone who isn't ready for self-help, but could use a daily boost in their life!

Thank you St. Martin's Essentials and NetGalley for a digital copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

This is a pep talk for the soul. Amber Rae gives you a lot of self-help type of advice in a condensed, easy-to-digest guide. While I listened to the 2.5 hr audiobook, I'm sure the content is laid out in a beautiful format. Reminds me of a cute coffee table book or something you might read in the morning with your coffee.

Thanks to Macmillan Audio for a pre-release copy of the audio via the NetGalley app. The narration and supporting music was excellent.

This collection of reflections and affirmations can be read in sequence or randomly as needed. They are accompanied by cute, creative illustrations that reinforce the point. The tone is very encouraging and full of compassion--no one is expected to get it right all the time. Instead, the author encourages readers to keep thinking, keep trying, and keep reframing in search of a peace and contentment that comes from within.

This would make a great gift, especially for teens and young adults. It's very attractive and accessible and each little "bite" is helpful and thought-provoking.

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for my digital copy in exchange for an honest review. I typically request books like this because I love anything that can help me grow as a human...and I am happy to say I was not disappointed. This is a self help book for people who need more inner peace in their lives...it is also full of ways to help yourself with creative ideas and comes with some illustrations to help you along the way. I have to admit, this book won't be for everybody because not everybody needs help in the departments she touches on. But if there is anything in this book that might answer some questions you might be having in life, why not give it a try? Not everything in it applied to me and my life but I liked everything I read :)

This book takes an empathetic approach and gives bite size approaches and allows you to have kindness and patience with yourself when dealing with life. This is so necessary for everyone to read in life. Highly recommend. Especially loved the reflection to true life to humanize my feelings and relate. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

In this nonfiction book, the author reminds us of ways to find answers to questions we have that somehow we can’t think of what or how the answer is found. It’s an excellent book as along with her advice, there are illustrations to remind us what one can do to find the answer. It is a book that you can read by the question you have or read the book completely first. Either way works well. She does not use words that you need to look up in a dictionary. She reminds us not to neglect our feelings or intuition.

The author is well known by several people. I didn’t know her books til reading this one. The writing is straightforward with good illustrations. One thing I often get hung up on is I must finish my “project” yet she says you don’t have to if it’s not working for you. I do like her approach to doing the right thing for yourself. I think many people would enjoy reading the book and the ideas that can help find your answers from within you.

Disclaimer: I received an arc of this book from the author/publisher from Netgalley. I wasn’t obligated to write a review or any review at all. The opinions expressed are strictly my own.

I loved Amber Rae’s Choose Wonder Over Worry, and this audiobook didn’t disappoint. The vignettes were soothing to listen to—and beyond relatable. If you’re human, there’s a nugget (or a whole goldmine) of wisdom here for you. I wish I’d heard this advice and affirmations especially pre- and post-college.

My major takeaways, the sections I’ll probably revisit soon, are around shame, forgiveness, and closure. Again, very relatable topics for anyone.

Favorite quotes:

* “Mistakes are a mark of courage.”

* “Your mess can be your message if you let it.”

* “You are worthy of being seen. You are worthy of being loved.”

* “Toughness acts like everything is okay when it’s not. Strength owns how you feel.”

The Answers Are Within You is a lovely and encouraging book. Designed as a creative tool to help readers look for answers within themselves instead of allowing external forces to hold more value. Whether you read it cover to cover or open to a random page there is something for everyone to take away from this book. There is variety in how the content is presented from quotes to journal/thought prompts and short passages which keeps the reader engaged. The colorful imagery and charts are helpful and inspirational. This book would be a great gift.

Special thanks to Netgalley for the eARC in exchange for my honest review.

I listened to this book on audible in one sitting. It was easy to listen to and Amber Raes writing is amazing! She explains psychology terms in an easy way to understand and gives you motivation to find your true calling, following your heart, and basically how to reduce anxiety/worrying in general. I would recommend this book to anyone looking to listen or read a light hearted book that elaborates on being “in the flow” and synchronicities and how to direct yourself in that state.

What an amazing book! I just can't say enough good things about it. Each entry is filled with wisdom to make life a bit easier. With our society so focused on others, this book is a refreshing reminder of what is true-all we need is within ourselves, with directions on how to get there. I will be returning to this book again and again.

Short, 2-page ideas/concepts/meditations to draw out the best from within yourself.
Useful, positive means to ‘right yourself’. Can plow right through or read them in a random order, no matter the method, all of them provide a means for self-reflection and positive reinforcement.

Received as an advance reader copy via Goodreads.

This book is an easy read with short passages for daily reading. Over about a 3-month period you can read one short message that you can meditate on for that day. Each one looking at what will make a better You. It's not a "do this and you'll change" kind of book, but a book that helps you explore the inner you and what you can do to love yourself more.

This book has 100+ topics. Gentle reminders or ways to think about things differently, shifting your perspective. One lesson learned, don’t die with your gifts still inside you. What is your gift? You, you are the gift. When you are being true to yourself you are sharing your true self and that is your gift. 🎁
