The light of Heaven will guide you to a place of great power. Listen to the flow of energy in your body and the echo of Forces in your soul, and they will lead you even in darkness.
The closer one gets to Heaven, the cruel and harsher the worlds and their inhabitants become. But Kai was never the type that gives up easily. He broke free from his shackles, healed all his wounds, and traveled far from the city of slaves in which fate had tossed him as if to test his skill and will. After a successful and very cunning scheme, Kai and his team reached the Cloud Abode. There, they’ll have to either prove their worth as cultivators or perish. But their troubles won’t end there. The Cloud Abode is no place for those weak in spirit or strength. Power and skill are everything to those who got this far and they won’t tolerate cowardice or weakness. In this merciless world, in this kingdom of warriors, all that matters is your strength and level of cultivation!
Sorry everyone this long and tried be very light on any possible spoilers onto review below.
There is a lot of action fights that are long and explonations of everything that comes up & often can be a tad too long at times, would say these two things make up a good majority of the book.
I enjoyed the increase in abilitys and skills and fighters nicely written even if bit long for my tast and this was a good read in series for most part in my opinion.
Could of done without brining in advanced technology that was just too OP & what mean by that is Railgun, bringing advanced technology into this series just doesn't seem to work I don't think so anyway hoping author stops it.
The cold void taking kai's emotions is getting frustrating now he more like a robot then actual character, and takes away huge amount of fun and tension from book as no banter joking extra only good and is a great point is don't have to worry about Romatic entanglements that don't like one bit. (Especially in male mc cultivation one's.) Also even knowing it menchaned that it's a problem he needs to fix weird that he done nothing to fix it hopefully next book will do something about it..
Has a bit of predictably and silly feel to it as none of mc team ever get killed or permanently damage reason mc team? Would be more exiting & tension filled fun read if did because know no matter what happens there going be just fine.
Would probably be better if wrote numbers numerically instead or in words for example, = six thousand and one better if 6,001 looks better and easier to visualise. Personally found animal experiments disturbing & less hear of earth on4 the better still trying hard to forget it.
End thought. This is a good read and good series but not great and but am looking forward to next one in series. (Hopefully fix mc emotional problem & request no advanced tech please..)
I was worried that the MC was too OP that he would never face a challenge. That all changed with this book. He finally recognizes the weakness is his strategy. He meets a true enemy. And the story really starts to open up finally. Glad I stuck through it. I’m here for the long haul.
I have really enjoyed this story, short lengths are fine when there is no bs fluff, these are wonderful! A very well formed plot, the progress makes logical sense and there is no character kill off without making a great deal of sense with its outcome, no George R.R. Martin senseless avoidable plot murder. Ajin you are a masterful writer, stay awesome!
I liked “school “ phase of this book series so far. Some unique was to development, cultivation are present. Brilliant fighting sequences, powerful enemies, glimpses of distant worlds . Most importantly cultivation progression yesss. More please soon.
Really great I would just ask that if you want a truly powerful series you need create a little more depth if you can do this and keep the balance to the story then it will be top tier !
My favorite bod this series so far. The characters have progressed but no so fast that you can’t keep up. The progression system is unique. My thanks to the author. I will be looking forward to his next book and other series
These books continue to impress, not only with the craftsmanship of their stories, but also the amount of heart and effort required to create something this enjoyable. Five out of five, highly recommended
Having freed themselves from slavery Kai and his friends, now have an opportunity to test to enter the Cloud Abode and rise in strength and learn new techniques in there Cultivation
There was a lot going on throughout this book and several times I thought it was ended only to realize that there was a lot more to it. I was pleasantly surprised about this book. I would definitely recommend it
This shitnis awesome. This is the 6th one I have read an I love them all. I think anyone else who enjoys this stuff will realllove it. Anyways have fun and enjoy the fake worlds we try to escape to! Have fun!
A small group of cultivates slowly start to firm around Kai. Comrades cross paths in unexpected situations. A thrilling battle that tests everyone's limits highlights the book.
Fantastic story with amazing powerful abilities that are achieved through luck and striving to get stronger. Recommend reading this book in a great series.
Exceptional character development gives the book balance. The whirlwind of action does not take away from the bonds you form with the characters. Excellent ride
This book was a fantastic read! At times I was a little upset by the beat downs but they did prove that the MC is not all powerful and they set up a pretty epic revenge arc.
I love the books so far. This installment was a great addition to the series. I liked that the next volume was foreshadowed to be about training and improvement.
Ajin is to LitRPG what Asimov, Heinlein and Clarke are to Science Fiction. I've really enjoyed the scope of the story and development of the world environment.
Very good read from start to finish so much so that I came back to it so often might as well just kept on .only tick 2 days to finish but I'm going to read it again
