I loved the series so much, the character and world building were so interesting, especially for someone starting to get back into reading. I would suggest this to anyone, I definitely think this is a series for any age. (Teenagers above)
the darkling and kaz brekker. these two men are the only reason I pushed through these two painfully boring series. we deserved more between Alina and the darkling and inez and kaz. yea thats all.
i cant be bothered with giving the same response to every one of her books so imma just say
truly one of the worst books ive read. i was gaslighted by shadow and bone fans into thinking this saga was good even though it took me months to read the first one until i couldn’t take it anymore so i decided to listen the audiobook on 2x speed while i was on my phone cuz these books truly are a menace to society. That was it bye
A highly recommended series to all the fantasy lovers out there. Some readers might not like the initial trilogy of shadow and bone series but trust me the six of crows duology will make up for it. I loved how each chapter was written from the pov of different characters so that you could actually feel what each character was experiencing. All the characters were brilliantly written, right from their appearance to their backstories. A very fascinating read.
I thought the story threads had potential, and I really liked a few of the characters (Kaz was my favorite), but most of the characters seemed to lack depth, as did the story-telling, and it all came off as just meh for me.
