Can sorrow open the doorway to joy? Tekoa Manning peels back the layers of despair to reveal the key to finding and defining joy. Our suffering is often producing the fruit of the Spirit. Jumping for Joy highlights Harriet Tubman, Nicholas James Vujicic, Joni Eareckson Tada, and the author’s own personal journey and the beautiful lessons learned. Joy is sitting right next to sorrow. Those who sow in tears will reap with shouts of joy. He who goes out weeping, bearing a trail of seed, will surely return with shouts of joy, carrying sheaves of grain.–Psalm 126:5-6, BSBJumping for Joy is a devotional written in sections to allow the reader to maneuver from topic to topic about joy found in life’s most difficult circumstances. This book is suitable for clubs and study groups and includes a question review page for reflection and study.

“Writing to heal the heart, awaken the spirit, and unmask the unseen.”
Tekoa has given so much insight on how to venture through the sorrows in our life, by using her own examples. I love how she shows us with her life how we too can jump for JOY in the midst of our own sorrows. I look at what she has gone through, and try to relate to some of my own . We are all different, and have our own things we go through . But this Book has given me such a new way to look at things . I for one would rather jump for JOY in the midst of my sorrows then to never see JOY at all . Thank you Tekoa being so transparent. I’m grateful !!
Manning's collection of devotionals are simple and straightforward. The dominant theme is that of choosing joy even when life falls apart. She uses anecdotes and illustrations from her own life. At the end of each section, she includes a "Review" page of questions based on the content in an attempt to get readers to engage more deeply with whatever spiritual truth the author has referenced.
