I picked this up because I want to downsize for practical reasons, but I hang onto things for sentimentality. My head and my heart couldn't agree. Best advice for me:
Obstacle: attachment (I loved these things once; they belonged to a loved one; I might need this someday) Solution: Keep only things that really matter to me, that I use, and that I have room for.
"Be kind to yourself and give yourself more time to tackle objects that have feelings attached to them. But don't let grief or guilt bully you into keeping things you don't really need (or really want). Keep only a few strong sentimental reminders."
