This book explains the contents related to Docker completely and in simple language and the contents are not confused and one can easily learn the contents.
The book was excellent, and I learned a lot from it. It really deepens your knowledge of Docker. In my opinion, if the section discussing Linux security topics were more comprehensive, it would be absolutely perfect
I'm not sure how to put this, but while the book helped me to learn Docker, specially its first 8 chapters, it could be written better. I believe sectioning of this book is problematic because there are commands explained later in the middle of the book while they should be introduced earlier. This book could be way better if it was written as reference to be read sequentially. The author also tries to dive deep into the subject but the text is obviously for total beginners to computer. Readers should not be assumed to be that dumb! The text should be more rich in details but it won't even scratch the surface.
Nicely explains the deeper concepts of how docker works in the background and how to work with Docker. Chapters have a really nice format of TLDR, In Depth, and Commands so it is easy to go back to a chapter and find what your are looking for. Some of the chapters are too much in depth for me since I am not a DevOps but it is nice to get an overview of all the things that could be done if needed.
It's a great book with a ton of content. You learn how to manage docker to develop and deploy applications, how things work under the hood, about containers and how to manage them. Code examples can be found in the GitHub repository, so you can see different applications and their config files.
