This book will enrich, enlighten, validate, and give epiphanies to anyone who has had to deal with childhood trauma. As a person who has tried therapy, self-help books, and all manner of other measures to try and heal but failed miserably, this book has changed my direction. It gives clear definitions of CPTSD, tells of the types of reactions/effects of childhood trauma-the fight, flight, freeze, and fawn, emotional flashbacks, the inner and outer critic...and much more. The most important part of the book though, in my opinion, is the tools the author offers to help to deal with CPTSD.
