To think, this all started because of one stupid adventurer and my mother's favorite pot...
But my past as a humble farmer is gone. Now, as I, my wives, and my children work tirelessly to unify the world's dungeons against those that would exploit them, the stakes have never been higher. As a mystical madness threatens to infect me and the very gods themselves threaten to bar our way to freedom, a final confrontation looms between my dungeons and the rampaging adventurers who would judge us.
In the end, I will do what needs to be done, to protect my land, to protect my family. And if I have to fertilize my crops with the blood of the gods to do it, so be it.
This story manages to bring the past and present storylines together in the ultimate showdown between the gods, adventurers, and Markus’ forces. Every character is reintroduced and/or given a role in this battle as they fight for their rights in a huge fight between good and evil.
The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because I felt as if there should have been something in the 18 years that got skipped between books. But by the end I was left without any feelings of there being cliff hangers and all my questions had been answered about the story’s world.
Loved this trilogy of books from the very first to this the final book. My only complaint was that the series was too short for such an epic story to be told!
As King Marusk prepares for the final battle, he retells the old stories that reveal hidden truths and legends, how his alliance was formed, and we get the final showdown it's all been leading up to.
Couldn't put it down, and only regret that I've already finished the book.
One of my favorite series!!!! It'll make you laugh and entertain you regardless of the action involved!!! Great characters, cool story telling and enjoyable adult fantasy activities!!! I for one would like to see more about this world!!! Maybe from the next generations point of view!!! Either way this was and is a fun series!!!
I enjoyed reading this book. Sadly, it's the end. I was enjoying the story and characters. Unfortunately, the pacing seemed rushed to make this a trilogy. This series could have easily been five or six books. At least the story and characters continued to be interesting and engaging. This is definitely worth reading.
**************Very Minor Spoiler*******************
Everything came together well enough. Some vagaries still left. Questions left unanswered but they're not needed. My complaint would really be that the begginning of a dynasty is hardly a happily ever after, at least to me.
It was an enjoyable series though I wish was a bit longer. I very much enjoyed that the main characters children were part of the story, I would very much like to see more of that in future books
Without going into spoilers, this is a great final book in the trilogy to wrap things up. We closure on the the adventurers, the farm and we learn how all of this started in the first place. Really great series and I enjoyed it immensely.
A truly fantastic story transformative in its rendition of the classic adventurers tale/dungeon builder story! The characters are a delight to read about and their journey was fantastic!
A wonderful conclusion to the trilogy. It is fun and exciting, explains the entire setting, and wraps everything up nicely with no pesky loose ends. I have really enjoyed this series, and am deeply satisfied now that the tale is told.
Fun series, a great tales woven together filled with action, adventure, humor, fun dialogue and enough spice to keep it interesting. I have enjoyed it a great deal and I'm sure you will as well!
I enjoyed the book, and the series. The characters are interesting and I liked the story. Would definitely recommend for anything who likes] fantasy and doesn't mind sex and fantasy humanoids? Not sure what to call them, don't want to say monsters.
I enjoyed reading this book very much and I recommend this book to anyone who like LitRPG, dragons, elves and progression type of books with lots of action.
A charming ending to an entertaining series. I have to say S.A. Archer found a way to win me over again as a reader. I think I just might explore another of the writer's books in the future.
