The first edition of In Search of the Paranormal chronicled author Richard Estep's investigations into claims of ghosts and hauntings on both sides of the Atlantic. This expanded second edition adds more than 15,000 words. Embark on a haunted adventure that moves from the Tower of London to a lonely inn high up in the windswept Rocky Mountains; a haunted firehouse to a sanatorium in which thousands died of tuberculosis; and a location which some claim to be, quite literally, the gateway to Hell itself. Walk alongside Richard as he and his colleagues venture into the darkness on a quest to answer the ultimate do ghosts truly exist?
Richard Estep appears on the TV shows Haunted Hospitals, Paranormal 911, Paranormal Night Shift, and Haunted Case Files. He has also made guest appearances on Destination Fear and A Haunting. The author of 28 books, Richard lives in Colorado, and regularly travels across the United States in search of the paranormal.
I'm a 48-year-old child who has no plans to ever actually grow up.
I make my living as a paramedic, clinical educator, for a busy hospital system and work as a street medic in a 911 system.
In my free time, I serve as the director of the Boulder County Paranormal Research Society, and investigate claims of haunted properties, people, and objects on both sides of the Atlantic. I love to read, particularly SF/Fantasy, history and historical fiction, the paranormal, and basically anything that piques my interest. I appear on the TV shows Haunted Hospitals, Paranormal 911, Paranormal Night Shift, Haunted Case Files, and several others.
I am an avid video gamer, table-top gamer, and love to build Lego. My wife and I are the proud humans of five adopted rescue cats and one smelly but adorable dog.
I’ve read quite a few of Richard Estep’s books and really enjoyed them all. This one is no exception. It’s a great read on his foray into paranormal investigation and his 25+ years of experience stalking old buildings and peoples’ homes seeking truths about the afterlife. I really appreciate Richard’s no-nonsense, pragmatic approach to paranormal investigation. He’s objective, non-sensationalist, and methodical. This book is well worth the read!
Richard Estep is a fantastic paranormal author and investigator. His narrative is so interesting that he makes you feel as if you're right there with him. I'm very much addicted to his books and am continually looking for new ones he's written. I believe I've read just about everything he's published. A phenomenal author!!!
