Their target turns out to be maddeningly elusive, they rescue a stray dog that makes a sewage treatment plant seem pleasantly fragrant, and stopping the murders turns out to be the least of their worries.

Scientist by day, paranormal romance-urban fantasy author by night, M.L. Ryan has many stories rolling around in her head, and she finally decided to write some of them. She prefers literature that isn't saddled with excruciating symbolism, ponderous dialogue or worldly implications. She also doesn't like plots so reliant on love at first sight that it makes her feel like her head might implode. She lives in Tucson, Arizona with her husband and teenage son, four cats, two Curly Coated Retrievers and an adopted desert tortoise.

This series is interesting and different

Hailey/Alex.
This story started slow, but soon pulled me in. The writing style is different, along with the storyline. The characters are likable and entertaining, snarky, quirky, and surprising. Lots of twists, with surprising impacts. (Love STD—supernaturally transmitted deposit). Ha! Wraps up with a nice HEA.
Cool quotes: “someone who was born on third base but thought he’d hit a triple.”, “Opinions pour out of him like turds from a goat.”

These books are intelligently written, with so much witty banter and comical references to pop culture. The story is refreshingly unique with just enough smut to make it even more entertaining. For once our heroine is not a naive teen but a 30 year old divorcée with a brain. My only dislike is the strange Coursodan language, it’s a bit ridiculous to attempt to pronounce some names, so I made up nicknames using the first 3 or 4 letters. Nevertheless, I just downloaded the 4th book.

Really different

This was really fun read! Very different then the supernatural cozies (no new witch, no inherited house/business, no hunky sheriff.) A little TMI in the sex but not that bad, I'm slightly prudish so I skipped a little ahead there. The snark and milking of chinchillas were the cherry on top.

Loved this paranormal series. The quirky plot device of transferring an entity by way of a Kindle was great! I enjoyed Haley’s epiphany with possession and the reality of magic. And Sebastian’s snarkiness was wonderful comic relief! Alex is the quintessential hero, being classically handsome, rave, kind and loving. What more could you want?
Would love to see more of this series.

After a day of work I could not wait to continue this book. The characters were interesting and engaging while the plot was unpredictable. I wished for more when I got to the end, it was that good.

love this book

I love the story with the humor! It is quirky, intelligent and engaging. I try to find more books like this as I am an avid reader., but have been unable to ,I have a hard time finding the same quality and a story that thoroughly engages me. It has enough love and romance to satisfy anyone in this Genre ,along with the humor.
