You’ll understand the Bible better, receive God’s grace, and the liturgy will come to life for you in a whole new way. The extra features of each Sunday are designed to help you initiate faith-based conversations with your family and friends, form the habit of scripture study, and carve out time for God every week. In this book you will One Sunday at a Time also includes prayer and a weekly challenge to help put into practice the message of each week’s readings in your daily life. Wide margins are ideal for notetaking. This beautiful, full-color book is perfect for use by individuals, families, RCIA classes, and small groups.
I received a free copy of, One Sunday at a Time, by Mark Hart, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This is such an enjoyable book, it helps make going to church and understanding the mass so much better. Gospel stories, facts, word play, behind the scenes, journal, and challenge of the week. All of that helps us understand the Catholic mass, and enjoy it so much more. You can do it by yourself or with your family.
A great resource to reflect on, and pray through, the Sunday readings. I wish the reflections had the actual Bible verses instead of simply a citation, but that is a small detail. Hart's reflections and guided questions definitely helped me to enter more fully into the readings and meditate upon where God is directing my heart. If you find yourself wanting to get more out of the Sunday readings, this is just the book for you.
