I am always interested in inspiration regarding prayer, especially first thing in the morning. But I have to say that it seemed like there was a lot of filler in this book. First of all, the last 20 pages (of a 149-page book) are a reprint from the siddur (prayer book). Then, on many pages of the text, the words of the prayers are printed across the top of the page, in the most extreme cases taking up half of the page. Besides this, the phrases being discussed are subheadings in Hebrew and English for the stories or explanations of these words and phrases. $24.99 was an awfully steep price to pay for a few bits of interesting information (most of the stories and commentaries are available elsewhere).
