Ideal for any student of neuroanatomy, neuroscience, or other medical or science disciplines involving the nervous system, Netter's Atlas of Neuroscience, 4th Edition , is a highly visual, clinically oriented exploration of structure and function —from neurons to motor and sensory systems to global neural function and dysfunction. This award-winning text approaches this complex topic from three Neuroscience Overview, Regional Neuroscience, and Systemic Neuroscience. Illustrations by Frank H. Netter, MD, and others following in his tradition are framed by concise, expert text and accompanied by neuroimaging, photomicrographs, and summary diagrams.
A fellow neurosurgery resident commented that their favourite neuroanatomical atlas was Netter's. Upon purchasing this book, I was taken aback at how poor the text was -- very little anatomic detail, lack of functional descriptors, etc. Later confronting said resident, he remarked the same; the book that he'd lauded was Netter's Concise Neuroanatomy (with neurological focus). This book is absolutely futile. I do not reference it... ever. The other edition is indeed superior to this one.
Its a good book, I´d give it 3.5 if I could. It has a lot of images and those are great even if they dont show a ton of anatomical details. There isnt a lot of text and thats a problem sometimes, but I also appreciate how simple and concise the book was.
Excelente recurso para neuroanatomía, me agrada que contenga detalles de fisiología y de alusiones a patologías en su clínica, es simplemente una herramienta que no se deja de leer.
