This was the text used in my undergraduate program for a course in Calculus based Probability and Statistics. I would say it did a sound job, by providing a guide to different statistical distributions, permutations, combinations, relevant definitions, problems, and more. I did many of the problems in the book and got a lot out of it. I think this text adequately prepares me for graduate level Probability/Statistics.

As a student that already has to contend with grossly overpriced books and college tuition: nothing, and I mean NOTHING irritates me more than being told I need to get a solutions manual to see the odd answers for chapter review exercises.
