The artwork is pretty good but that is the only thing I liked about the book. The typography is generic and doesn't fit the style of the book. The story is too simple for any child over the age of 3 but the language seems like more of a fit for a kindergartener.

Also, I don't agree with the moral of the story. The moral appears to be, "you shouldn't aspire to be different from what you are right now." A pretty depressing lesson for the (presumed) target audience of small children. ;)


However, the Head of Engineering where I work (Bobby Beaver) will get a kick out of the fact that his name is also that of an illustrated animal.
