It's a very interesting book if you want to learn more about everything on Pandora in the second film. There are lots of interesting facts. However, I personally didn't enjoy how much of the book was about the RDA and their operations. Some of it was interesting to read but other parts just didn't feel necessary to include.
This is a great book for people who write for things like fanfiction or are interested in the extended information about the universe. Great refrence material and gorgeous pictures! Well worth it!
4,5 ⭐ Està molt bé i he flipat amb tanta informació.
I thought it would be an easy 5 stars. And it would’ve been, if it wasn’t for the excessive information about the RDA. Some of it was interesting but I seriously don’t need a description of every gun and stuff. It just unnecessarily kept going on. It included some in-depth info about the Na’vi but I just wish they had given us more!
La terza parte è quella relativa all’RDA, ovvero i nemici invasori.
Peccato!
If you love Avatar and an enthusiast like me then you will have a great time with the visual dictionary👍🏻💙. This gives you a detailed look at the characters and their belongings, from clothing to their weapons. To the RDA and their machinery and to the ocean and the sea creatures. It’s all very fascinating and you learn more about the world of Pandora and how it works ✌🏻.
I’ve loved this franchise since 2009, so maybe I’m biased but it’s 5 stars from me due to how much the book offers you. There are many little details in here that you wouldn’t have known before 😌.
It also makes me excited even further due to it being 2025 and the year for Fire and Ash!! I’m so hyped for the 3rd movie and I can’t wait to escape to Pandora again 💙
This is a great book. If your looking for a book that goes over many things that were talked about in the movie then you got the right book. My only complaints about this book is that it really didn't go over the Metkayina Clan. There were many pages on the RDA and the Omatikaya Clan which were well done and informational. I just really was hoping to find out more on the Metkayina Clan. As they are a new clan introduced in the new movie, I was expecting more. Other than that though its a great book to read if you want to know more on the Avatar World
I loved this book! I loved the movie and I loved all the details and extra information in this book. The ONLY thing I wish was that it focused a little less on the RDA, and focused more content on some of the creatures that weren't shown in here.
I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH, LO'AK I SLAYING ALSO TSIREYA'S PAGE IS BEUTIFULL ALSO I LOVED THE OMATIKAYAN TOYS AND TUKS PAGE ALSO! I TOTALLY RECOMEND TO READ THIS IF YOU LIKE PANDORA WORLD! (I READ IT IN 3 HOURS XD)
A lot better than the visual dictionary about the first Avatar film. More illustrations, crisper images and I liked the indepth information about the new characters. However, I felt like there was too much of the RDA in this one.
Having loved going to see the film at the cinema and suffering, like so many others, from post-avatar depression syndrome, when I knew that two illustrated books had been released, I went to buy them. As a family. So I’m not the only one who benefits from them, and we both struggle to recover. At first, the film is splendid, a visual slap as we expected for a long time.
This encyclopedia/dictionary gives a lot of details about everything we see in the film, up to the Na'vi’s food, the fabrics and jewelry they wear, etc. Some elements, especially on the RDA (Resources Development Administration), had not interested me more than that, weapons, warplanes, robots, all that, not a fan. But I admit that all the explanations provided are fascinating. These last ones demonstrate once again the depth of the universe and the work of titan carried out.
A beautiful illustrated book for any fan of the film, wanting to have more details about the birth of this masterpiece. From creation to production. I’ll do a podcast and a YouTube video, I think.
this is another dk book like the world of avatar: a visual exploration, but covering the second movie. it feels like there was proportionately a lot more about the rda & recoms than there was about the rda in the first one, but that could just be a cognitive bias on my part because that is (shockingly) the part i’m the least interested in.
there is definitely a lot less about geography in this one, though, and that’s a shame because i think that oceanography rules and i was really excited for some fictional oceanography because i’m a fucking nerd, but alas.
this is still a great overall concept for a book, and the execution is for the most part pretty fantastic. i just found myself overall less entranced by it than i was by its predecessor.
As a lover of the film, I had to purchase the book, and I was not disappointed. It offered a deeper insight into the world of Pandora, the Sky People, and the Metakyina clan. I'd thoroughly recommend if you're as much of a fan as I am!
