This is the second boxset for the series and contains books five to seven.

Hayden’s Haven

The main characters in book five are Hayden Novak, an outcast wolf shifter who joined Damien Black’s pack and was made his second, even though many in the pack call him a traitor for killing his former alpha, and Dr Mila Evans, a shifter and doctor he and pack enforcer Callen have been sent to bring back from a dangerous situation in Medicine Bow. With Mila is Kate, a white wolf shifter who herself escaped a bad situation with her own pack, to come to Mila’s aid when she needed money to study as a doctor in the human world and who is now repaying the favour by coming to help Kate after she was badly injured and needed medical care urgently. Mila wasn’t about to refuse her and it gave her an excuse to leave the situation with enforcer Vance and her alpha Truman. Mila needs to get Kate fit enough to travel and they are running out of time, as the circle tightens around them. Mila and Hayden don’t exactly get on well together, as he insists on taking Kate and her to safety, whether they are ready or not. Mila insists on taking a huge backpack with her, which Hayden wants her to leave behind, but it carries vital research into her work on a cure for the Human Eradication Virus (HEV) and she needs to take it to those who found the cure, after she found the virus has mutated.

Hayden had a dark past of his own that he doesn’t talk much about, with his uncle Logan killing Kate’s parents and taking over as alpha of the white wolf pack, then killing Hayden’s parents and taking his younger brother Drake in to raise as his own. His mother was killed soon after and Hayden was only twelve at the time! He was forced away from his own brother and had to watch him being brainwashed by Logan. When he eventually challenged Logan, telling his brother Drake that he had turned feral and killed another of the pack, he was blamed for killing Logan illegally and his own brother tortured him for ages, leaving him permanently marked and then banished from his own pack. He was lucky to be taken in by Damien, but his pack are not quite as understanding and call him names and taunt him behind his back, but he always just walks away. Mila thinks he is quite forceful and when she sees him turn into a white wolf, she is shocked and fears him, because of her experiences with white wolves in the past, including his own brother Drake! She has seen what Drake can do and how out of control he can be at the drop of a hat. She thinks Hayden must be exactly the same, especially since her experience with Vance was awful and he is also a white wolf. Hayden feels drawn in by the scent of Mila, but can’t stand how she reacts around him, as does one of Damien’s pack with similar experiences. He is nothing like his brother Drake, but he hasn’t told Mila that he is related to Drake, knowing that any closeness they have started to have, will be utterly destroyed in a moment!


Frank’s Felon

This is Frank and Delilah’s story. Frank is the second, to alpha Damien Black, but has only been back to the pack for about a year after being locked up in a human prison for five years on trumped up charges. Damien was unable to get him out by legal means of otherwise and Frank was left wondering if anyone in his pack even remembered him! Frank had sacrificed himself to allow three other members of his pack to escape from danger. The female shifter he saved was pregnant by her fated mate and she writes to him every week, but he only receives a handful of letters over the whole five years, with the guards loving to mess with him in any way possible, hoping to break him. He gets himself locked up in isolation as often as possible, to enable his wolf to be let out unseen, but with nowhere to actually go! When he was released he was made second, even though he doesn’t think he deserves it, but everyone knows what he has done for the pack and all like him, even if to outsiders he seems rather gruff. Frank gets distracted by the scent of a female in the woods between their pack lands and that of the more dangerous white wolf pack, led by Drake. Delilah is that female wolf and she has been repeated searching for something or someone, crossing both packs borders every day. She lost her whole pack when it was decimated by the WSSO, the Wolf Shifter Suppression Organisation and has been a lone wolf ever since. She wanted vengeance against those responsible and managed to kill two of the top people responsible for the attack on her pack. She ended up in prison, having been sentenced to life, but got out after barely a year, having heard that her sister might actually be alive! She makes a mistake on the white wolf land and is attacked by a group of five white wolves and got away after another wolf came to her aid. Frank finally catches her but she doesn’t stick around to answer his questions, far too wary of others to do so.

On a run into town, Frank finds her scent again, but she has two men in suits following her, so he tries to warn her and help her get away. He finds that she has been asking lots of questions in town about a woman with green eyes, which could only be his alpha’s mate, or a new member of the pack who was rescued recently. That makes him a little wary, especially since he is so taken with her and can feel his attraction to her. She hasn’t exactly been telling Frank the truth about herself and her past, but then she isn’t exactly proud of most of it, having to steal to survive as a lone wolf without a pack. It is a lonely life and now she may have a member of her family still alive and she will do anything to find them and be reunited. The DSO are trying to make a treaty with the three wolf packs in the area, but when one of the agents, Agent Gallagher visits unannounced with a bear shifter and some other humans, he calls Delilah a murderer and a fugitive and that there will be no treaty unless she is handed over! Frank has been left unsure of his lifelong friend and alpha Damien, because of how lost he was in prison and how he thought he had been abandoned by his alpha and pack, apart from Takara, the pregnant shifter he helped to save by sacrificing himself. He isn’t sure whether his alpha Damien will sacrifice Delilah to save the treaty, or if he will allow her to be give asylum in the pack, especially since Frank wants to blood bond her! He won’t let the humans take her and is willing to go on the run with her if necessary, not giving a damn if it would mean a war between humans and shifters. But Delilah can see how much the pack means to Frank and refuses to let him give up everything just for her. A nice twist to the end of the story as we find out why the DSO want Delilah so badly and what action Damien will take to safeguard the pack, but also listen to his mate!


Mason’s Mission

The last story in this boxset takes place some five years before the previous book and brings the story of Takara and Mason. Takara is part of the white wolf pack under alpha Drake and hates her life there. Females are not treated well, with any of the males in the pack thinking they can simply have any female any time they want. She has been put on the border of Drake’s pack and Damien’s as a guard, but without any training whatsoever. Her life is being made hell by his second, who she made the mistake of agreeing to date once! Mason is one of the guards on the other side and the two have been seeing each other whenever they are on night duty together and think that nobody else knows about their relationship. Mason is the only one that has even taught her anything she might need as a guard and even how to protect herself. Takara has to do everything her alpha orders her to do, which can be pretty nasty work and she hopes to have the chance to buy her way out of the pack and to be let out of her oath of allegiance to Drake. If she isn’t, then she won’t be allowed into another pack and would have to be a lone wolf, which isn’t a good life for wolves. Mason would be keen to blood bond her to give her safety within his own pack, but being enemies, her presence in Damien’s pack without her oath being rescinded could inflame tempers. Mason and Takara have been going at it hot and heavy in the woods all over the border between their packs, but is that really going to lead to anything serious? Takara warns Mason that Drake has a dangerous assignment for her in the city, which she could be leaving to do at any moment. When she isn’t at her post the next few nights, he realises she is gone and he can’t live without her.

He isn’t sure if she is safe and so he leaves his pack to look for her. When he does find her, it is not in a position he ever thought he would ever see her, giving herself to a human man! What Drake has her doing is despicable and he can’t comprehend how her alpha can even force her to do such things. Once he gets over his shock, he is there for her and won’t give up on her and his hope they will be together one day. But her job in the city is even more dangerous than he could ever have imagined, with her having to go undercover in the very organisation that is trying to kill off shifters! She has been trying to get enough information to enable her to bring something valuable to Drake, to buy her freedom, but events will never go quite as planned. Mason is followed into the city by his superior Frank, as well as his fellow guard Robbie, who want to ensure he hasn’t been caught up in a honey trap with Takara, knowing how Drake usually works! Her undercover job places her in more danger than any of them could ever have thought and this leads straight into how Frank ended up locked away in prison, saving the rest of them. Mason takes Takara back to his pack but she knows she can’t stay, as does Mason’s alpha Damien and she has to let Mason down. She turns down his offer of a blood bond, telling him he needs to wait some seven months for a particular date, but he doesn’t realise quite what that means! In the end Takara must fight for her freedom by herself, no one else can actually do it for her and her alpha is a hard one to make accept anything reasonable. He is someone that everyone in his pack obeys without question and he has a bad reputation for violence. Mason has taught her how to fight and protect herself, but she would never be able to beat another of the white wolves in a normal fight, but he has confidence in her and her strengths. She will need that confidence as she has to fight for her very future and that of those who have faith in her and have shown her a different life could be possible.

Definitely fall in love with little Frankie and how important she is in two of the stories. You get to see how different alphas run their packs and how bad life can be for some shifters, in particular the females or weaker ones. Each pair end up with a blood bond, but the path towards it is never an easy one. Lots of steam in these stories as the couples come together and face lots of issues before getting a HEA ending, or as close as they can to one! Definitely a series I want to catch up with and I look forward to reading more of. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

Takara wants out of her White Wolves pack, but no other pack will accept her because of her alpha. She is under the tight rule of the vicious alpha, Drake, and he won’t let her leave. She and Mason had met each other as they were both border patrol guards for their different packs. The only “loophole” way for Takara to escape her pack is to blood-bond a shifter from another pack, but that alone is not a good reason to mate, even though Mason adores her and would want to do that without question! When Drake sends Takara on a dangerous assignment among the humans, Mason follows Takara. Can he convince her to bond with him for the right reason? Can they find their HEA? This was a good story with characters the reader wants to see get a break and find happiness. Can they make that happen or will the danger overcome Takara before Mason makes his move?

Three enjoyable stories that continues from the first box set of "Broken Shifters" series. This set of action-filled, engaging dramatic, and romantic stories with likable characters to get involved with while reading their adventures starts with:
Hayden's Haven
This story is about Hayden and Mila. Hayden was put on a mission to bring Dr. Evans back to the pack to find a cure to the SEV-2 virus. Callen and Hayden rescue Kate and Mila, but Kate is sick and it's up to Hayden to protect them from the WSSO that's chasing them as Callen diverts them. They arrive at the pack and that's when all the secrets unearth in this engaging story as Hayden and Mila's relationship develops.
Frank's Felon
This story is about Frank and Delila. Frank is doing border control when he comes upon a scent that entices him to investigate crossing into enemy territory (the white wolves). Frank tracks the scent which leads to Delilah who fights him, and he asks why she here and who she belongs to. Delilah tells him she is a lone wolf just traveling thru and Frank lets her go. Frank warns her next time he catches her, he will make her his. When Frank is back with his pack, he can't forget her. The next day while into town Frank catches her scent again and finds her. Frank knows he has to have her as his mate. While looking for her, Frank noticed that human men are looking and following her. Can he protect her? Will Delilah trust him and tell him why she has a picture of Tess on a WSSO pamphlet?
Mason's Mission
This story is about Mason and Takara from opposing packs. Takara is a member of the White Wolves pack run by Drake and wants out. The only way out is to mate outside her pack. Mason is a border guard for a rival pack and has fallen for Takara. When Mason no longer sees Takara who is on a mission in town, he goes to find her. Her mission leads them to danger, can he protect her?

I started the Broken Shifters series with a box containing volumes 5 to 7. Despite entering the middle of events, I managed to orientate myself quite quickly. Although each book is about a different couple, the main thread of the story develops through all the books. The title of the series is well suited, because each of the presented heroes is a person who has gone through difficult times and in order to reach for the happiness that is at their fingertips, they must first face the demons of their past.
I liked the story of Frank and Delilah the most. They both have strong personalities, but at the same time hide a sensitive soul behind the walls they built. The book is full of emotions that made me fully involved in their story.
However, the first book about Hayden and Milo im my opinion was a little biring. There was too much constant "I want to but I'm afraid that he/she won't accept me". Instead of having an honest conversation with each other, they both assumed what the other person was thinking. Which, unfortunately, made me feel for a long time that their story was going on in circles instead of moving forward. Although I was initially tempted to put the book down to read later, the main plot of the series drew me in enough that I decided to read on. And I don't regret it, because the further the stories get more and more interesting and with more action. Since I started this series from the middle, I will certainly reach for the previous volumes to find out how it all began.

Well let’s start off by saying sit back relax, get comfortable in your favorite reading corner with your favorite drink because you start this you won’t stop until the last page has been turned. Each book with a sexy shifter, crazy but sexy and the girl who captures his attention. Hayden’s Haven, Frank’s Felon, and Mason’s Mission read all those titles again and you will get a general idea of the ride you are embarking on so buckle up. Hayden and Mila their hunt to find the doctor in hopes of finding a cure. Frank and Delila – Frank is supposed to be on border control, but a scent has him investigating not realizing he crossed over into enemy territory meeting his mate, but she fights to keep being a lone wolf but with a warning if he sees her again she is his…last famous words. Last Mason and Takara – are from two different packs opposing packs might we say but Takara wants out of the White Wolves, and he is just the man to help but not before they have to look danger right in the face but where are all these couples headed to happiness?.

Great Series!

This set contains books five through seven in the Broken Shifters Series. The WSSO, World Shifter Suppressor Organization, is out to rid the world of shifters and have started with targeting the wolf shifters. They have developed a virus that will kill the shifter and the few that survive can no longer connect with their wolves making them human. Follow these three shifters as they find their mates and try and fight the WSSO. The clock is ticking as they try to find a cure and develop a vaccine to protect themselves against the virus!

This boxset follows on from the first with the last three books of the series. You could read them as standalones but the whole thing flows better if you have read them all. I have enjoyed them all and I have to say that Hayden still remains my favourite. Although I did wish Mila was just a little less whiny at times.

Hayden's Haven - Hayden is more than just a pack member, everyons is suspicious of him but Mila treats him differently. Why?
Frank's felon - Delilah is on a mission and she will not be distracted by the guard, no she won't... oh.. bother!
Mason's Mission - Takara has nowhere to run and she is trying to keep the one person she loves safe. Will she make it?.

It has been awhile but I have read these books before and really enjoyed them. It was nice to read them all in one volume instead of having to look for each one in my library. All of the men and women in these stories seem to have insurmountable obstacles to overcome. They do eventually overcome them but it takes a lot of determination and ingenuity to make it happen. The humans come up with a virus that kills shifters and then a shifter comes up with a virus that kills humans. What could possibly go wrong?

Love this series arch.
I really enjoyed reading all three stories included in this box set. Hayden, as the displaced heir apparent of a rival pack run by his younger brother was so strong and stoic. Mila, the doctor with a history of abuse, ends up the perfect foil for him. Then you have Mason who can't help falling for the female guard on the other side of the pack borders. He'll follow Takara anywhere including directly into the path of danger. Finally, you have Frank and Delilah. These two have every reason not to trust others, but that doesn't stop their instincts from choosing each other. While these stories have vastly different characters they were each wonderful reads.

Usually we see shifters without mental/emotional baggage. These book are a great change from that. We get to see them just as messed up as we are. Misunderstandings lead to issues and problems. Then we have the issues from outside of the packs causing challenges. My only issue is that these books like most books with shifters is X rated. I have no clue why so much procreation action is required. That is the only reason I'm not going for 5 stars. Now to hunt down Vol 1!.

Wow! What an exciting read of all three books. I love the action and the emotional angst that these characters displayed in these books. I love that each character was able to find their fated mate, and even though they had their own personal issues and battles that they had to fight, they eventually pull through at the end and were able to have their happily ever after. All three books for exciting and hot and you had to feel for them all.

Stories of love and romance overcoming impossible odds. This box set is a continuation of a series , which just adds to the overall story that is unfolding around them while they are finding their mates. I love this, because it creates kind of an alternate universe where this occurred and each story adds nuance and depth as well as action and adventure that kept me enthralled till the very end. Awesome read!.

Three wild rides that take you to the pack. Do you wanna make you want to defend them and maybe even smack the alpha in the back of the head to make him realize the truth. Suspense. Steam. Fated mates. make you wonder why It took them so long to figure out how they should never let go. Each book is raring to go with their own characteristics of “alpha gone wild.” Emotional roller coaster. Good reads.

I liked this set. Each book is in a similar setting or world, but they feel very different. The characters are well defined for the most part. And it doesn't feel like I read the same story three times, like sometimes happens. I really enjoyed each one individually and loved the set.

Just like the first box set, this one is also great. And that you can read them one after the other is great. Each story has its own characters and the chemistry and attraction is also present. This is a must read if you are a shifter fan.

This series has a theme of fear. Fear of the unknown, the uncontrollable, the enemy, personal abilities. The characters show growth. I recommend reading previous books in the series starting with book 0 Ransoms Revenge.
