Since the message of the Qur’aan is believed to be for all times, it should be relevant to every age. Does the Qur’aan pass this test? In this booklet, I intend to give an objective analysis of the Muslim belief regarding the Divine origin of the Qur’aan, in the light of established scientific discoveries.

About the author

Dr. Zakir Abdul Karim Naik is a renowned orator on Islam & comparative religion. He is the founder & president of the Islamic Research Foundation (IRF), a non-profit organisation that owns the Peace TV Network & the Islamic International School (IIS). Dr Zakir clarifies misconceptions about Islam, using the Qur’an, authentic Hadith & other Religious Scriptures, with reason, logic & scientific facts. He has Authored many Books on Islam & Comparative Religion.

Zakir Abdul Karim Naik was born on October 18th 1965 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He attended St. Peter's High School & Kishinchand Chellaram College in Mumbai, before studying medicine at Topiwala National Medical College & Nair Hospital. Afterwards at the University of Mumbai he obtained a Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery (MBBS). In 1991 he started working in the field of Dawah, & founded IRF. Dr. Zakir says he was inspired by Sheikh Ahmed Deedat, the world famous Islamic scholar, having met him in 1987. Sheikh Deedat Gave Dr. Zakir the title of "Deedat Plus" for his excellence in Dawah.

Dr. Zakir's style of memorizing the Qur'an, Authentic Hadith & other Religious Scriptures in various languages, as well as his critical analysis & convincing answers to challenging questions, has made him extremely popular in Muslim & non-Muslim circles. In the last 20 years Dr Zakir Naik has delivered more than 2000 public talks all over the world, in addition to numerous in India.

He has participated in several debates & dialogues with prominent personalities of other faiths. His public dialogue with Dr. William Campbell on “The Qur’an & the Bible in the light of Science” held in Chicago, in April, 2000 was a huge success. His Interfaith Dialogue with Hindu Guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar on "The Concept of God in Hinduism & Islam in the light of Sacred Scriptures" held in Bangalore, in Jan. 2006, was highly appreciated by people of both faiths.

According to Google, searches for Dr. Zakir Naik vary between 5 to 12 million daily which is one of the highest among'st Muslim religious speakers in the world. He is ranked #62 in the list of "500 Most Influential Muslims in the World" published by George Washington University in 2012. He was also listed #82 in the "100 Most Influential People in India" in 2009, & was listed #1 in the ‘Top 10 Spiritual Gurus of India in 2010 published by Indian Express.

2nd : this is a small booklet , yet the pieces of information in it is enormous to comprehend in one setting ( I read it all at once ,However I'll gladly read it in another time to memorize it ! )

3rd : I wish I can find a translation to in in Arabic , cause it'll be very useful for our Arabic society , specially nowadays cause Atheism is growing in a wicked speed !

Indeed! The Qur'an is a book from the All Knowing God. The information contained therein are so perfect and sweet. No one can deny this book except the dumb' deaf and blind. This attempt at proving the veracity of the Quran, while it has some measure of success, is ultimately apparent to be an attempt to shoehorn textual interpretations into contemporary scientific discoveries.

I found the book to be superficial in it's interpretations of Quranic text that are largely materialistic while ignoring the symbolism and metaphysical interpretations to these verses.

I'm of the opinion that while the Quran is immutable, scientific discoveries change with the times. Therefore, tying certain verses to scientific beliefs of an era can be dangerous when those scientific discoveries change in the future.

The Qur'an is not a book of Science but a book of 'signs'. These signs invite mankind to realise the purpose of their existence on earth, and to live in harmony with nature. It is essentially a book of guidance that guides mankind to the truth and to the Lord of the World's who alone deserves to be worshipped. The Qur'an is truly a message from Allah, the creator and sustainer of the universe. It contains the same message of the Oneness of Allah, that was preached by all prophets, right from Adam, all through Moses, Noah and Jesus to Muhammad (peace be upon all of them).

A lovely compact-sized booklet of proofs presented towards building a case for Islam's rightfulness to be a devine religion UNLIKE ANY OTHER. In making up the case, the author used direct and simplified language to better reach out to his readers clearly. The book is bound to impress all readers greatly, Muslims and Non-Muslims alike!

Kao što kažu, bitan je kvalitet, a ne kvantitet. Ovo je knjižica koja sadrži bitne stvari i ne dotiče se nevažnog. Fino upoređene činjenice sa naučnog aspekta i one sadržane u Kur'anu. Moglo bi se naći još dokaza, ali mislim da je pisac izabrao neke od važnijih.
Opsežnost knjige bi trebala da privuče i one manje sklone čitanju, jer knjiga nije debela i zaista se lahko i brzo čita, čak i kada se zastaje da se razmisli o činjenicama spomenutim u knjizi.
I da, ne moraš čak biti ni vjernik da bi ju čitao. :) Mislim da bi se mnogi zamislili nad ovom knjigom i da je zaista vrijedna čitanja...

أُنزل القرآن آيات لأولى الألباب - العقول - لعلنا نتفكر ،، نعقل ،، نتفكر .

كل آيه فى القرآن ،، هى دعوة لليقين بالله بالآيات -البراهين - والحجج ،، أو قصص للموعظة من جهل السابقين واستكبارهم على الله فما لنا لا نتعظ ونقراءه قرآة السابقين

ربنا مش نزل القرآن عشان نقول حلال وحرام وهذا ما أنزل على أباءنا ،،، ولكن لنعقله بميزان العقل والعلم ونتخذ بالأسباب وحكمة الله فى خلقه وأوامره
لأنه كتاب لكل زمان ومكان فما لنا نقرآه قراءة الجاهلية ،، لنؤمن عن يقين

فى القرآن أوامر ونهى وهذا ما ننظر اليه ف الآيات ولكن أول الآيات كانت " اقرآ" وكل آيه أمر ب " التفكر"

It’s mentioned that this booklet only covers some of the scientific claims in the Holy Quran and the modern scientific discoveries which affirm them. With that in mind, it’s a great quick-paced booklet. Nevertheless, it is a bit outdated, so I would like to read an updated version with all the new discoveries made in science and how they relate to the Holy Quran since the release of this in 2008. I also would’ve appreciated it if for each claim, more depth of the scientific articles confirming the verses were covered as well as the author’s/scientist’s take on the Holy Quran’s ability to proclaim the undeniable existence of the Almighty.

Iako kratka, knjiga sadrži dovoljno podataka i informacija potkrepljenih ajetima iz Kur'ana koji objašnjavaju mnoga naučna otkrića otkrivena vijekovima poslije objave Kur'ana. Obuhvaćena su otkrića iz područja astronomije, fiziologije, zoologije, botanike, embriologije, geografije, geologije... Iako minimalno, dovoljno je da se shvati da je Kur'an posebna knjiga koja je omogućila razna objašnjena na području nauke koja ljudi desetljićima nisu mogli dokučiti jer ipak je objavljena vijekovima prije otkrića mikroskopa, teleskopa i sličnih stvari.

I really enjoyed reading the book , the only problem I face with the author (zakir naik) is to turn most of the Quran verses to science . Well , some of the verses has a link with science but not all the verses that mention in this book is related to science .
