Well what can I say about this book? Brilliant is the first thing to come to mind, however, there is a "key" (I believe) to getting the most out of it. In fact it is quite startling at first! Now the key is really quite simple, you must read the book (as a book) from cover to cover and even if you come to a section which you don't find all that interesting, persist! It is well worth the effort to absorb all it has to tell you. Why is it important to read it all? Simple, you're feeding your subconscious! As you will learn from the book our dreams send messages with images and if we can understand these images then we can understand what the dreams are telling us. So feed your mind the images and their meanings, because it will change your dream life forever.

What I found was by persisting from page one right through to the very end I gave my subconscious new ammunition for my dreams. Almost right away my dreams changed? They started to talk to me is such a clear way I was able to understand all my dreams and it was spot on! What happened? Well I started to have dreams with the new understandings and instead of me trying to work out what was being sent I knew! I could quickly grab the book and go back to the part I had read and there is was, it was an amazing experience. But it is always getting better and clearer. Now I can wake up and start to understand what was going on and why.

A few other things must happen first however, you must train yourself to remember your dreams using the techniques outlined in the start of the book. Write everything down (as much as you can remember) and think carefully about ALL the possibilities. Once you start to master this it all falls together and it is amazing.

So my advice is get the book, read it from start to finish, learn the techniques and start to communicate with your dreams like you never have before! The rating would have to be 10 out of 10, persist and you will be rewarded, I was. There are lots of "Dream Bibles" and other such books out there, but this one is the Rolls Royce and in my opinion the best one to own if you want only one!

This was an early birthday present from my mom and stepdad when I was younger. I think everyone goes through a phase where they want to analyze their dreams to understand what their subconscious is trying to tell them. For me this phase was more than that; it was a deep need that had to be fulfilled. I'd always ask what my dream meant to my parents when I was a child but stopped as I grew older. When I found this book and asked for it as a birthday gift I was so happy when they bought it for me. I've gotten so much use out of it since my 2011 birthday; it's my go to book whenever I have a difficult dream. There is so much detail and so many symbols are covered that I have not really had any difficulty finding what I needed to know. It's definitely worth a read for those who are interested in understanding symbols in their dreams.

I've been doing dreamwork for about 30 years now with secondary students and adults and have consulted many dream dictionaries in the process. Teresa Cheung's book has become an invaluable resource, my go to book when I'm looking up something related to dreams. What makes this book start out from most dream dictionaries is that it's really an encyclopedia as the name suggests. Many standard dictionaries have limited references so often the symbol you're looking for isn't there. At 678 pages there will be very few dream symbols you won't find in this book. The second reason I love this book is that it gives quite a detailed description for every symbol. The information really gets you thinking and probing. If you could only afford one book to help you unlock the meaning of your dreams, this is the book I would suggest.

I loved the introduction to the book, because it really explained how to use these symbols in your day to day life. A lot of people ask me what the importance of dream interpreting is and now I can tell them in clearer more educated words. Dreams are symbolic messages and "their aim is the same - to lead to our fulfillment." This book has justified my love for dream interpreting and helped me analyze how to become in equilibrium with my unconscious mind. I would definitely recommend this book to someone who is interested in what real world purpose their dreams have. Because trust me, there is one. This book aids in helping you figure out who you really are, and what you feel.

I got this book about 4-5 years ago. It's an extremely large heavy book with an encyclopedia on every dream symbol you can think of. Not joking! It's rare that I haven't found a symbol in this book. I remember how happy I was when I got this book on special for like $20. Which is far from what it is worth. It's an amazing resource and very well made. Sadly my book is slowly falling apart because I have used it so much!

There is a lot of conflict regarding dreams and how to interpret them/what they really are/etc. I don't know how well researched or factual this book is, but it is a fascinating read and there are many times when looking up what I dreamt that it completely made sense. This book is also creates great conversation between friends as everyone is curious to know why they are dreaming about certain things.

This contains plenty of interpretations, but it is a bit confusing the way they are distributed throughout different chapters into subcategories. It would have been more efficient if they had maintained the standard encyclopedia or dictionary format.

A fun book to read and look through. I do not really believe everything that this woman is saying about dreams, but the book is very fun.
