When she wasn't riding her bike or making things out of loo rolls and scraps of fabric, Ruth spent her childhood reading about detectives and historical figures. She has written and edited countless books for Usborne - some about detectives and historical figures; some about dinosaurs, scientists and astronauts.
I found this book at the library a couple of years ago and I think it is a really good book for those who want quick and easy information about the First World War. There is a lot of visuals, which is great for those who love pictures!
This book presents information about World War 1 that everyone should know. It is easy to read and is a great place to start learning about the Great War.
OK....so I guess I knew practically NOTHING about the first world war! It was quite a bit of information to take in. I love these Usborne books though because they make complex issues very understandable! I hope I can retain a little bit of something. I think the Usborne book about WWII will be more review for me than this one.
